Naomi's POV

I sighed as I sat down on a bench in front of the bus stop. There was a beautiful dark-skinned pregnant woman sitting down next to me along with what seemed to be her boyfriend. I envied her carefree life. I wanted to settle down with a kind hearted man, have children and provide for my family.

Alas, my future has been ruined by a 6'8 alpha. I had to be honest with myself, there was no way I would be able to live a normal life with Levi on the loose. He'd always find me. I wish I had a way of getting him out of my life forever. That made me think, was there truly no way to break the mate bond?

The bus began to pull up and I let the man and pregnant woman aboard the bus first, then got on. The ride would be about an hour and twenty minutes but it would take me to my home town faster than on foot.

The bus was unfortunately pretty packed but, it would most likely make it harder for Levi to track my scent.

My mark began to tingle and I slapped my hand down on it. What was going on?

My head felt heavy and I rested it on the window next to me. The pregnant woman placed her hand on my shoulder and spoke, "ma'am? Are you okay?" Her kind voice reassured me that I was safe and I took a deep breath.

"Yes, I am fine. Thank you… If you don't mind me asking, how far long are you?" I gestured to her stomach and she grinned. I asked to avoid thinking about the odd feeling erupting around my mark.

"Six months. He's a boy, and is very energetic," she gently grabbed my hand and placed it on her stomach. We waited a few seconds before there was an aggressive kick.

We had a laugh and I finally introduced myself, "I'm Naomi." I held a arm out for her to shake.

"I'm Devy, and this is my husband, Aaron. It's nice to meet you Naomi." She replied to me.

I nodded my head and gave a smile, "it's nice to meet you too."

Devy and Aaron were a beautiful couple and I just know they were going to be amazing parents. They were both so lucky to have somewhat normal lives.

I remember the times I did too.

I spoke to the couple for thirty more minutes before I decided to head to sleep. I was going to need strength and energy for whatever happens next after I get off this bus. I squeezed my backpack against myself and drifted into comfy sleep.

Levi's POV

I growled as the mind link between Naomi and I began to grow weaker. I struggled to see where she was going and get information from her mind. Her thoughts were all over the place. She was nervous and scared but determined. Even after all that happened in the past few days she still had the strength to run away all on her own. She truly was something else.

Three of my best tracking and seeking wolves approached me from behind and bowed their heads in respect.

'Who are we searching for, Alpha?' One of them asked curiously through mind link.

I dropped a shirt she wore a little while back and allowed them to smell it. After they got a good idea of what she smelt like I sent them off to look for her. Naomi was far, her scent lingered around us but was fading fast.

She must've been in a car or something that was moving very quickly.

My wolf and I missed her. I cant believe I had left her alone at the cabin, to drown in her own sorrow. Especially after I had marked her and used alpha command on her a day before. I did it out of anger, not logic. Alpha command was only supposed to be used in certain situations, on certain types of people. Usually it was used for torture methods. It wasn't used on mates, especially not women and humans.

I was a bad mate, my wolf and I both recognized this after emotionally abusing Naomi so much to where she felt the need to run away from us.

We were going to fix this. All of this, no matter what.

A little while after the seekers had gotten far enough I shifted and ran after them. Since I was faster, I had to wait a little longer for them to get farther before following them.

My mind pondered on what i would do when I found Naomi. Would I scold her? Give her pity? Lock her in my bedroom forever?

They were all choices that I didn't mind but I was not exactly sure what I would do, but I'd have to figure it out soon, as I'd be seeing my mate in no more than two days.

My heart ached from being so far from her. What if she was hurt? Or a rogue kidnapped her? If a rogue were to lay its filthy hands on my innocent mate it wouldn't see the light of day ever again.

My wolf growled and increased our pace, trying to catch up with the seekers.

We wanted her back.

In no time I reached the seekers, they stopped at the last few trees just before we reached the road. There was a black bench and a bus sign not too far from it.

'This is where her scent ends. I'm guessing she got on a bus, theres too many other scents up ahead to keep track of hers. Also, theres a strong scent of another wolf near her that seems to be masking hers.' One of the trackers huffed and they bowed their heads in respect.

Shit! She took a bus, she had to be miles away by now. I growled and decided to go with plan b. If I couldn't find her on my own, I'd just have my men do it. Anything to get her back.

'Go back to the pack. Send out all the seekers you can and bring them here and search every town that's close to this bus stop.'

They hesitated before they bowed one last time and ran off back to the direction of the pack.

I didn't want to waste any time on the seekers to get here, so I began to search on my own. All Naomi wanted was to see her parents once again, she must be going to her hometown.

So that's where I'll be headed.
