8 eight

My eyes slowly opened as I began to regain consciousness. I sat up in my bed and rubbed my eyes. I could see the moonlight peeking through the window blinds. I turned to the other side of the bed and grabbed the clock. It was twelve.

I need to get out of here before someone hears me. I gradually pulled the covers off myself and hopped out of the bed. I looked around the empty room and looked for the shoes Amaya gave me.

I instantly found them and slid them on my asleep feet. Hopefully, she wouldn't mind me taking her outfit. Maybe after I get as far away as possible from this beast I can ship the clothes to her.

I took a deep breath and looked at my surroundings once before making my way toward the door. I opened the door as quietly as possible and stepped out of the room. The packhouse was quieter than usual which was understandable.

I slowly made my way through the house, getting lost a few times before spotting my escape route. I smiled to myself, I'm coming home mom.

I placed my hand on the cold door handle and opened the door, feeling the fresh air hit my face.

Then I heard it.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" A hoarse voice called out with a growl following it. A voice I knew all too well. The beast had caught me sooner than I expected.

I turned my body to face him. My eyes enlarged and I clasped the door handle tight in surprise. He had a liquor bottle in his hand and he was slumped in a chair with sweatpants and no shirt on. I remained silent and attempted to come up with some type of explanation.

"Answer me!" He growled from the seat he was in. I flinched and stuttered out, "I-I was trying just to get some fresh air that's all."

"Is that so," his husky voice called out. I nodded in reply; too afraid to say a word.

He let out a chuckle that made me gulp. What was funny? His laughing stopped and he opened his mouth to speak, "then why is your small heart beating so rapidly, Noami?"

Although I hadn't noticed it, he was right. My heart was about to rocket out of my chest in a second.

We sat in silence for a minute before he stood up from his chair. I took a deep breath as he headed my way. No way, I can't let this happen, not like this. I looked back at the door letting in the fresh air that smelled of flowers and nature. I wanted to leave. I wanted freedom. I needed freedom.

Before the thought processed through my head completely, I ran out the door as fast as possible with the hope that the drunk alpha wouldn't be able to catch me. He was drunk and I had a head start but he was faster, bigger, and a werewolf. The situation I was currently in made me feel as if he was the predator and I was his prey.

I had entered the woods and I couldn't hear his footsteps but I knew his presence was lingering behind me along with his growls that came out every few seconds. I could hear him getting closer and closer. My heart raced with fear.

But then I saw it. A road. It had to have a town or city connected to it somewhere. Just as my feet were about to make it to the road I was snatched back like a kid with their ragdoll.

I screamed and fought Levi's grip as hard as I could but he was all too strong for my weak body.

"I didn't want to do this do you, mate. But it's for your safety; your safety is important to this pack and we need you safe so we can have a heir.. and because I-"

I cut him off with a scream once again before I felt a needle slowly enter my skin. I groaned and felt my body go limp, what the hell was that?

I shook my head, "what did you do?" I whispered. "Shh, you're safe. it's okay Noami, you're safe."

And with those words, my eyes shut and I went unconscious in the beast's arms.

I yawned as I began to wake up. I sat up slightly in the new bed and remembered the events that occurred early in the morning. It had to be at least eight in the morning now. I was in a different room from the last time and I couldn't hear any pack members as I had before. I had sighed and tears welled up in my eyes. I was so close. So close to freedom until the beast snatched me away.

A single tear fell down my face and I tried to pull my hand up to wipe it, but to my surprise I couldn't I was restrained.

I looked down at both hands to see they were both cuffed to this unfamiliar bed. I pulled at them hoping I could somehow break the cuffs but I had no luck.

"Help! Someone help!" I yelled out. No one came for at least ten minutes. I was starving. I didn't eat any food at breakfast nor did I have lunch or dinner yesterday. I haven't eaten since I've left home and it made my stomach feel weird at the thought.

The door to the room opened and ahead peaked in. Athena.

I sighed in relief, grateful it wasn't Levi.

"Good morning lun- Naomi." She gave me a sweet smile and I gave her one back for using my correct name.

"Athena, could you please bring me something small to eat, and for the love of god please take these cuffs off." I groaned out.

She inhaled before replying, "actually, the alpha is going to bring your breakfast up and he ordered me to not take the cuffs off due to reasons having to do with..." she trailed off and gave me a sad smile.

I took a deep breath. "Well, Athena, I don't care what the alpha said listen to what I'm telling you right now! I want these cuffs off, right! Now!" I yelled out making her flinch. She hurriedly reached in her pocket and took out a key and before she could unlock the first cuff our heads turned to the door that opened.

In came Levi, looking all high and mighty. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Athena, you're excused. Leave me and my mate."

Athena sighed in relief and excused herself.

I stared at him with hatred burning in my eyes.

He looked at me before smirking and laughing.

"What's so funny, huh, kidnapping me and holding me hostage in a place I don't to be with people I don't want to be with?!"

He raised his eyebrows and opened his mouth to speak before he shook his head and replied with nothing. Weird.

He stepped outside and grabbed a tray full of food. It had fruits, sandwiches, and all kinds of good foods. My mouth watered at the sight and I stared at the food like it was a million dollars.

"So you are hungry, huh?" He spoke.

I rolled my eyes again and turned my head. I was not going to take any food from his hands. He chuckled and whispered, "so stubborn."

I felt him sit down on the bed and I looked over at him. "What're the cuffs for?"

"What do you think, mate?"

I scoffed at his reply. "Now this is a prison."

He shrugged, "it wouldn't have to be like this if you wouldn't be so stubborn and try to deny and fight everything that is being given to you."

"Given? What have you given me?" I laughed, "all you've done is take away everything! You took me away from my home my family, and took my freedom away!"

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He then reopened his eyes and stared at me. "You're very strong and brave, Noami. That's what's going to make you a great luna and an even better mother."

I scoffed once again at the thought of bearing his children. He has to be out of his damn werewolf mind!

"What do you want to eat first?" He asked. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Take the cuffs off and I'll pick what I want."

He shook his head at me, "you cannot be trusted to not run away and we cannot risk you being hurt or even worse, killed." He growled at the thought before continuing, "so, the cuffs will stay on until you have accepted me as your mate and accepted your role as luna."

"Looks like these cuffs will be on for a while, alpha."

He smirked and looked up and down at me. "I don't mind."

Pervert.
