8 CHAPTER EIGHT

Her stomach growled getting stares as she walked behind Sir Anthony who chuckled at her "you are hungry little lion, I guess it is expected since you've been here for three days without a meal" he said turning into a gloomy warm hall way and the smell that hits her makes her lead the way to what seemed to be the palace kitchen "and they say I eat like a starved child" Anthony said laughing at the end receiving a glare from Alpha.

She could not get any answers, it was either they asked a question in return or dismissed her and sent her back to her cell, and they forgot to give her food. Honestly, the audacity they have to starve her is completely stupid. She hopes her brother finds her soon, she really misses the warm weather in the east, and the sun, oh the sun, the North was always covered in clouds and the only heat was from the fire harnessers and the kitchen.

Alpha opened the doors with a bang, scaring the cooks half to death "Little girl! No one is allowed in the Kitchen! Run along to your mother!" a woman yelled ready to beat the child if necessary, but when Alpha looked up, it was like everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at her in awe and fear "gr-green eyes?" the head cook stuttered taking a step back not noticing the fire that kissed his cloth making his scream, and soon everyone was screaming some jumping out the window and others heading for the doors.

A black shadow standing in the door way Alpha walked through, sighed as he took the sight in front of him, his eyes glowed blue and his voice boomed "EVERYONE STOP!" and everyone stopped as they turned to see Sir Anthony "Sir - Sir Anthony" the head cook greeted water dripping from her head to her shoes from putting out the fire "Luna, I brought my guest for lunch" Anthony said looking longer at the cook than needed making her blush.

Alpha was observing the entire show with interest, seeing that the kitchen was in a wreck like a air harnesser, water harnesser and fire harnesser were at war in this kitchen. Looking around, her eyes landed on a plate of chicken and rice which was calling her name 'Alpha, eat me' and before anyone could even blink, Alpha dragged a stool along the tiled floor to the large table getting everyone's attention but she paid them no mind and she did not even wash her hands, not caring if she'll probably get sick, and ate the chicken and rice.

Sir Anthony held amusement as he watched Lady Alpha eat like it was her last day living "When was the last time she ate something?" Luna asked watching in astonishment of someone enjoying her food other than Anthony and the Queen, Sir Anthony's ear turned red under his bangs of white hair "I- I don't know" he stuttered catching those who heard him off guard, this was the first time that he lost his cool, clearly he felt something towards the cook.

Sir Anthony looked at Alpha with guilt and sadness settling in his chest like his herb tea which was as bitter as garden eggs, but he reminded himself 'for the good of the north'. And opened the door that would forever scare Lady Alpha of the East.

"You what?!" King Thomas growled making the shelves shake and the windows open, as soon as he arrived he was greet with the most devastating news since the time the North rebelled against them "I said-""I heard what you said boy! Who the hell gave you authority in the first place to allow her to leave!?" he growled not caring about anything at the moment "dear, this is not the time to scold the boy. Leave him be, he did what was best for her, She was always in the palace, not steeping a foot out, he wanted to give her some freedom-" "Freedom is exactly what will get her killed, he should have consulted me instead of thinking what was best for her! Am her father!" he boomed silencing everyone.

He should have never left. He should have stayed and protected her like he promised her mother. Now she's somewhere alone and scared. And it's only a matter of time before the medication that locks her power wears off and everything goes down the hill.

He sighed as he sat down 'his too old for this' he thought dragging his hand through what is left of his hair "You should rest Thomas, you haven't gotten much sleep and if we want to find her, you need to be one hundred percent" Queen Yamina said dreading coming back here "you're right" he said looking up to his wife and then to his son whose eyes were glowing orange and fists clenched, and guilt settled in the King's belly " am sorry, I yelled at you Orion-""No you are right, I should have consulted you but I thought that maybe if I could finally make a decision without you, I would be a step closer to been a great King. And yet again the gods don't see me fit to wear the crown" Orion said leaving the King and Queen speechless.

Orion walked towards the door, ready to leave his parents and search for his sister when he finally spoke the truth that he was told to bury along with the ashes of Alpha's dead mother "And," he trailed off turning to face his face "we both know she isn't even your daughter" with that he walked out.

A boy with brown glowing eyes watched from a distance as a white-haired man dragged a beautiful green haired girl that was around his age, and he was determined to rescue her from the demons that await for her behind the grey doors known as where 'the dead lay'.
