CHAPTER 19

Just as they were about to hit her, Charlotte flaunted her silver dagger, her eyes narrowed into a deathly glare.

"Touch me and you'll lose your heart. I'll carve it out of your chest," Charlotte threatened.

Ella was at the doorstep as the werewolves rushed towards her; she sprinted forward immediately but halted when she saw that Charlotte could control the situation.

Ella had a proud look on her face. A realization then hit her; deep lines began to form on her forehead as she turned to look at the two other palace maids. They sat comfortably like they were watching a show at a fair. She decided not to confront them; Charlotte was safe now.

Charlotte caressed the little werewolf's thinned hair as she stared at her eyes.

"What is your name?"

"Sera."

"What a cute name for a cute pup. Eat up now, Sera," Charlotte coaxed.
