Alpha’s Regret: Chasing His Banished Luna Again

The sound of screams and cries shattered the silence of the early morning in the peaceful palace of the Blood Moon's Pack Alpha, Alpha Asher.

Alpha Asher who was fast asleep in his bedroom, shot up in bed, looking beside him to find his bed empty with Skylar, his Luna gone and he quickly concluded she might have ran off to wherever the screams came from to know what was going on.

With his heart pounding, he threw on a robe before rushing out into the hallway. He didn't know if a war had begun since it hadn't been long until they finished one.

Chaos had overtaken the once peaceful palace when he got out of his bedroom, with all the servants scurrying back and forth, their faces etched with concern and fear, making him curious of what was going on.

A sense of urgency drove him forward as he followed the commotion which led him to the part of the house where his kids' room was located. As he turned to the corner, leading to the hallway where his kids' room was, he saw their nanny, May, being dragged away by two guards. Her desperate pleas for mercy echoing off the walls.

"Please, Alpha Asher! I swear, I didn't hurt them! I don't know what happened to the twins!" She screamed when she saw him. Her cheeks were already stained with tears.

"What does she mean? My kids!" Alpha Asher's heart raced as he put meaning into her words and quickly he rushed towards their bedroom.

On getting there, his heart plummeted when he caught sight of his children who were laying lifeless in their beds.

Immediately anger and grief surged through him, and his voice was low, menacing growl as he felt the deepest pain he had ever felt in his life.

"Mabel, Jordan!" Alpha Asher yelled the head butler's and the head guard's name who came rushing forward immediately.

"What happened to my kids? What happened to my kids," he asked in rage and he could feel both of them trembling under his gaze.

"I don't know Alpha, we found them lifeless after their nanny raised an alarm this morning," Mabel explained. "Who came into the palace yesterday? Did you allow any stranger in?" Alpha Asher questioned Jordan.

"No alpha. No one came in?" Jordan replied and he closed his eyes, trying to think straight because all he felt at that moment was murdering anything to pacify his anger.

 "Who was with them last night?"

A servant stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the floor. "It was the Luna, Alpha. She was with them last night, she was the one that made their supper and fed them before nursing them to sleep. I only assisted her."

The servant's answer made Alpha Asher remember his Luna who was nowhere to be seen. She wasn't in the children's room nor around as he had thought she was not in the room because of the commotion.

Alpha Asher's eyes narrowed as he turned to Mabel. "Where is the Luna?"

The Mabel's wavered. "I... I don't know, Alpha. We haven't seen her this morning ..."

Immediately Alpha Asher turned to look at her. "What was she talking about? What do you mean you haven't seen the Luna this morning. I woke up to an empty bed when she had slept beside me last night and thought she was already outside," He thundered and Mabel trembled.

"Where would she be? Find her!" He added and looked at the lifeless bodies of his kids once more before he also joined them to find Skylar, fearing something bad had happened to her. He was having a bad instinct that an enemy infiltrated the palace yesterday and he clenched his fists in fury.

He stormed through the palace corridors, his heart racing with every step. He called out Skylar's name, but only echoes replied.

Alpha Asher searched every room, every corner, every hiding place, but she was nowhere to be found. His frustration grew with each passing moment, his worry escalating into panic. Where was she? Why had she disappeared?

He followed her scent, his senses on high alert, as it led him to the servants' quarters. He stopped when her scent led him to one of the guards' doors and he was left panicking what Skylar was doing inside a palace guard's room.

Bursting into the room as he smashed the door open, what he saw left him shaken to the core- it was more heartbreaking than discovering his children dead that morning.

Skylar, the woman he loved, His mate lay asleep on the bed in the room, nestled in the embrace of Brown, one of his most trusted palace guards.

A surge of fury immediately coursed through him as he seized Brown, shaking him awake.

Skylar's eyes lazily fluttered open and when she saw him, her eyes widened in shock and confusion.

"Asher... what's going on?" she stammered, jumping up on her feet as she grabbed the sheets wrapping it around her curvy body.

Alpha Asher's voice dropped to a low, dangerous growl as he stared daggers at her. "You tell me, Skylar. What are you doing here? With him?"

"What are you doing here with him?" He repeated, yelling in fury as his eyes glowed. He was beyond shocked and shattered.

Brown cowered under Alpha Asher's grip, his eyes silently pleading for mercy as he grabbed him tighter, his craws digging deep into his flesh with blood dripping.

Skylar's face paled, her gaze shifting nervously between Alpha Asher and Brown who she didn't know how she ended up spending the night with.

"Brown! What am I doing here? Why am I naked in bed with you?" She asked him, still lost in confusion but Brown didn't say a word in reply.

"Asher, please…" She turned her attention to Alpha Asher. "it's not what it looks like… I can swear that I don't know what is going on here. I remember going to bed with you and then heading to the kitchen to take my night tea and waking up to this, I don't know how it happened," Skylar was explaining as she slowly headed towards Alpha Asher but his blood was already boiling, he didn't want her close because he could kill her so he ordered the guards to drag her away.

"Asher no, don't do this. Please I didn't cheat on you. Asher…" she called as she was dragged away.

As she was dragged away, Alpha Asher turned all his attention to Brown and landed a few punches on his jaw which made him spew blood.

"Tell me! Why did you do this? What happened to my kids? Are you the one who killed them?" Alpha Asher inquired, suspicious of him.

"Oh! Are they already dead? The Luna would be so happy to know," Brown said with a low laugh, revealing his teeth which were now stained in blood.

"What! Alpha Asher turned his full attention to Brown as he grabbed him tighter. "What are you talking about?" He asked him, his eyes blazing in fury.

"The Luna, she knows what happened to your kids. She has always wanted it," Brown dropped the bombshell.
