11 CHAPTER 10

CHAPTER 10

The half moon shone brightly across the enchanted sky along with stars making it the most beautiful night for whoever notices it. But in the Drayceland castle the night became more suspenseful. Under the dark but glowy night, the King and Magicain Xacka stood reassembling their own thoughts about previous things. "For the first time ever throughout all these years I wasn't able to find the meaning behind your sinister smile. I'm hoping you don't have any other plans for the vacation, am I right, Your Majesty?" the Magician Xacka interupted in the thoughts of the King. "Your Majesty...."

"This is getting so out of hands. I'm not getting any idea how to stop it, without and before anyone knowing it. Why can't my little girl can live in peace?" watching the King in a vulnerable state Magician's heart broke. "Don't forget, Your Majesty, she was born to be the ruler, the savior. She's born with holy powers that no one has and had ever possessed. And for this you've to be strong to held her, for her to believe you. And don't worry about her after you, I'll always be with her, untill my last breath. I'll take care of her like my own daughter." the King looked up to meet Magician's eyes, twinkling brightly in hope. "Being a father I can't be at ease." the King looked down with a deep sigh. "I'm gonna take that you have something in your mind." hearing it the King's lips curved into a wide smile.

The luggages were set, packages were packed to set off for the invitation. The whole Torreniel kingdom was excited for the royal family. It was supposed to be a big vacation and celebration for both the kingdoms as first step towards their barely alive friendship on both the sides. But it seemed that fate had other plans for the King Xander. In northern parts of Torreniel kingdom the scenario for northern population was totally different. Due to high snowfall and blizzards the northern parts were facing alot of crisis. As being a generous and kind king he stayed, but instead he sent both the princes for vacation.

"Oh my god, Your Highness! You look so beautiful today." the helpers exclaimed in a high pitched voice. "Well, I always do." Eva shrugged it off with a smug face. "Well, no matter how beautiful you look still Her Highness Alora gets the recognition." Eva's ears burned in envy. "What you mean?" Eva sounded bit distressed. The helper took a step back in defense. "No! I mean you both are twins and you both are beautiful in your own way but she gets the attention more. She's been investing herself more in kingdom's work. So He's Majesty, the King also calls for her more. Moreover you, he barely visits you in a day. Isn't it injustice?"

"Okay stop it! Leave." Eva growled. She looked herself in the giant mirror infront of her and observed herself sinking deep in her thoughts. The King always preferred Alora for anything important, ignoring her. Even Eva tried to do so many things to catch their attention but, they rarely noticed. Worse than that Alora shut herself out of their room when they were younger. Eva was hurted alot but wasn't allowed to know why, neither she found. Slowly connections between sisters getting weaker Eva found herself all alone and vulnerable that she got out to find thrills out of the castle. Thinking about all the past Eva sobbed few heavy sniffs but shrugged it off as she heard someone coming her way. Masking her grief with fake smile she turned back. "Accept my greetings, Your Highness Princess Eva." a tall but crooked figure with a vicious smile paced without any announcement. "General Minister Shawks. Never expected your visit, specially without any prior notice. Any serious issues?"

"Many apologies, Your Highness. But, there's been a serious issue." he bowed apologetically. "Hmm. This way please." they both headed towards living room. "It's a pity to see such a humble, noble, intelligent beauty being ruined behind the massive castle walls." Eva nodding up suspiciously. "Straight to the point. Please." a cryptic smile appeared on minister's face. "Umm, actually I'm here to talk about a serious injustice in the castle, in royal family."

"Then why you're here? You should notify to my sister or His Majesty, my father." Eva squinted her eyes. "No! Cause it's something of your interest." the atmosphere in the room started turning into obscene suspicious. "What do yoy mean, Minister Shawks? Please elaborate it."

"Many apologies again, but I really need you time and ears to hear it properly." Eva took a deep breath and sat on the couch beside her. "Go ahead."

"Thank you. So I was telling about something of your interest. First thing, are you alright!" he asked out of blue which startled Eva to look to him. "Absolutely! Why did you...."

"I asked this causes I thought you were sick. Cause you weren't present at the assembly in the morning."

"Assembly!" she was confused to hear about it. "Yes! An assembly for an monarchical issue." Shawks smile dangerously laying his trump card. "Weren't you knowing it? Her Highness, you sister did." hearing about Alora, Eva's eyes burnt losing it's shine. "I think you must leave. Miss Dressel?" Eva called out for her assistant. "I'm taking your leave then. We can talk about it later." Shawks left with a smirk on his face. "A pinch of sparkle is enough lit up the dead tree."

"Your Majesty, we'd notify you when they'll arrive. Please have rest!" the King's assistant suggested him. "Yes father! It's too cold outside....."

"I'm fine. Ah! There they comes," the King decided to personally welcome the princes, but it was too freezing outside for waiting. Soon the carriages carried by pegasus arrived at the run way. "Welcome, princes. Welcome to Drayceland!"

"Greetings, Your Majesty, King Derrek." both the princes bowed in respect to the King."Ohh, there's no need of any formalities. Come here..." the King pulled both of them for a warm hug. "Let's go in."

"Good to see you boys being so big now. Oh we meet when this Eldrick was a toddler. 'The first prince'. After that we never got a chance to meet again. But see today! I wish Xander was here." the King spoke with gentle smile. "Ahem, yeah! Some crises, caught up." Eldrick answered softly. "Of course, I can understand. We received mail, days before."

"Your Majesty, Your Highnesses, Um...." the guard delivered the told message. "Uh... Excuse me," the King shoot up a worried look and stood up from his seat. "Mr Hontas. He'll guide you through the kingdom. You both can have fun and do meet everyone." with these words the King stromed towards Eva's wing. "I never thought she'd do something like that!"
