You ever look at yourself and just know what your not, I'm not particularly beautiful, not unimaginably caring, my body wasn't hand crafted by God.
If my life were to be I movie I'd never be the main character, I'm not nice enough, not hot enough, no tragic backstory to keep you feeling sorry for me and always loving me. I'm far to loud and honestly a little bit crazy and that type of personality only boasts well on a male lead, you see a girl who goes by Jo (short for Josephine) would never be the main star.
And now I'm here about to walk into the wedding of the girl who would most definitely be the main character of my movie. Annalise Lexington a tall toned tan goddess of a woman, the girl about to marry the man who was almost mine.
How did I even get here, how am I standing in a bridesmaids dress about to walk into Ender Montgomery's wedding.
5 years earlier
He reeks of Champagne, Champagne and Jo Malone perfume, he's clearly been with her.
"Where were you, I'm only in town to visit you, I've come to your college for the weekend because I wanted to see you. Yet I got here Friday night and it's now Sunday afternoon, I've not seen you for even a minute while I've been here. So tell me Ender where the shit have you been?"
He straightens his posture "I have a life here Jo, Friends and important things to do such as study so I can graduate Yale and become a lawyer. Unlike you I have big plans for my life"
This is what he dose, Ender knows I'm not rich like him, he knows my family could never dream of affording a school like Yale.
"You have been my boyfriend for two years now, we've worked out by me being a year younger than you so when you went to college I was still in high school and able to be at your beck and call. Then the next year I took off so we could be together, but now I'm ready to start my life and for all the effort I put into us you still can't stop yourself from seeing Annalise."
"She was my girlfriend first Jo, her parents and mine have planned are family's uniting are entire life's."
He denies nothing only confirms a truth I've lied to myself about for far to long.
"We were never going to last we're we? You always knew you were ending up with her"
"Jo, I love you and you love me we had some good times, but don't act completely innocent, Annalise was my girlfriend when you and I first started all of this. I mean you must of known deep down this was how it would end, we should at least part on good terms."
Ender has always been an asshole, but this was an entirely new level of sinister and cold, he is brushing off are time together like it meant absolutely nothing to him.
"You know what Ender, no I didn't know this was how we would end mostly because you lead me to believe you didn't care about your parents opinions, you told me that you'd rather be penniless with me than rich with anyone else. I now understand that you're a liar, but at least you're a good one so I'm sure your career as a lawyer will work out wonderfully. So go and marry Annalise you can watch painfully as she pines after your best friend for the rest of your miserable life and maybe at one point you would of been ok with all of that, but not anymore. You see now that your cold black heart has felt actual love unconditional love, so beyond unlike the love you receive from your parents The type you only get if you do exactly what they want you to exactly when they want you to. Now that you and I had real true love you will always have a whole in your heart and no matter how hard you try all the money in the world won't be able to fill it, so the next time you see me don't talk to me don't even try because anything you have to say I won't listen."
"This is the way it has to be Jo and I'm sorry if that's hard for you, but it's what has to happen."

"Ella!" I shout at my roommate as her daughter plays with my tampons, she's through each and everyone out of the box and onto the floor.
"Oh shit, Lila how many times have I told you to stay out of aunties stuff" Ella bends down picking us her 4 year old
Ella stops and looks at me her deep blue eyes piercing into my soul " will you be okay tonight?"
"Shouldn't I be asking you that, your going to see your parents for the very first time in almost 5 years since they kicked you out for." I pause and look at Lila, how can such a small girl cause so much destruction in a family.
"I'll be perfectly fine, those" she begins spelling
"F-U-C-K-E-R-S" then continues talking "will see what a wonderful girl they missed out on."
"Fuckers" Lila says
"Lila don't say that" Ella says
And I explode with laughter
You might think living with your ex's sister and her daughter sounds like a stupid plan but it's worked out quite wonderfully for me.
