4 Chapter 4

The tension in the room could break a knife as the girls glared at King. He stood in front of the door, serving as a giant wall, blocking them from freedom while his brother ran up the steps. He wasn't exactly interested in what his brother was so mad about, but whatever it was, it would be entertaining to watch.

Charolette groaned in annoyance as she recognized the grey haired male who king stepped aside to let through the door. She smirked at him as he glared at her, surprised that he actually was able to tell her apart from her sister. They were identical to the last detail and even the girls who had known them for three years couldn't tell them apart sometimes.

She was impressed.

The veins in his neck were bulging and he seemed to be contemplating punching her in the face. Well, at least he would get payback for her knocking him out. Her smirk grew as she realized that fate had a hand to play in this. What are the odds that the same guy she knocked out could be related to the guys kicking her sister out of her own house?

Zero to none.

Gio was livid. He looked at the girl before him, wondering which profanity to shout first.

"Well, I see someone managed to wake up…. Did you have a nice nap?" her smirk made his blood run hot and he wanted to wipe that smile off her face.

"You know this guy?" Clarissa was watching everything unfold with a puzzled but amused expression. It wasn't the first time she had seen that expression on her sister's face. She had slept with the guy who was now throwing her murderous glares.

Gio looked from one girl to the next, rubbing his eyes as if he could clear the image from his mind.

There were two of the little devils.

He looked from one girl to the other.

Two red heads.

Four forest green eyes.

Every feature was identical. He tensed as he caught a whiff of something that called out to his instincts. He growled low, "Demon..."

Clarissa tensed at the sound of his growl. She looked nervously at Charolette, "Char?"

Charolette frowned at the specimen before her. He was beautiful. His powerful muscles were tense, ready to strike her down if given the chance. The tension surrounding the situation was so thick it could choke her, making her throat tighten in anticipation, "I liked it better when you called me that at the hotel." Her words made him lose it and he was almost jumping at her. He would have if it weren't for Jeevo who jumped between him and the girls.

Charolette pouted, she enjoyed a good fight, and Gio would most likely be as good in a fight as he was in bed.

Jeevo stood his ground under Gio's glare, "That's enough," he met Gio's low growls with a raised eyebrow, a silent challenge.

"Move," his voice left no room for discussion. Jeevo stood unfazed by his words," Didn't you hear me, I said mo…"

Jeevo glared at him and interrupted his babble with a scoff, "They were just leaving; it is pointless to throw your little tantrum and as you can see, there is a lot of damage to the house as it is." He gestured to the living room, all cracked up form Clarissa's scrummage with

King, pieces of furniture scattered on the flood and Hero's precious CDs among the pieces on the floor.

Gio glared at the redhead behind Jeevo, "This isn't over, Wretch."

Charolette smirked at him, "I like it when you talk dirty to me, but let's keep it in the bed room honey."

Gio glared at her, "Burn in hell." He hissed and walked off.

"Awe he's even hotter when he's mad," she giggled after his retreating figure. She shared a mocking laugh with Clarissa, "I think he'd like my side of hell," her voice was a stage whisper.

King watched the scene before him with a straight face, his laughter killing him on the inside. These girls may be Demons but at least they were entertaining.

Jeevo shook his head and looked over his shoulder at the girls behind him, "Now that your fun is over, you can leave." He heard a small creak. He looked towards the second floor curiously, frowning as another, louder, creak sounded. "That's odd." He went towards the stairs. Listening intently, he heard the muffled sound of water running and sighed, this would not end well. He put a foot on the stairs, pausing when he heard the soft splash of water underfoot. He looked down. The steps had turned into small waterfalls and his frown deepened. "Where was this water coming from?" he wondered aloud.

Georgie blushed in embarrassment as she suddenly remembered something, "Um I think I know…." She felt all eyes on her and silence followed her words. A few seconds of silence seemed like minutes to Georgie who hated attention, but it was broken by the loud crack of wood as the bathroom door gave way.

Everything seemed to happen so fast. Water came rushing down the stairs, causing a splash and soaking the girls, Calli and Jeevo, who got the worst of it.

King muttered a string of curses in his head, already calculating the cost he would have to shoulder in order to fix this. He wasn't a big fan of unnecessarily spending money. His scowl was deep as he stood, dry, at the door, watching the chaos.

The water settled in what seemed like minutes and was about an inch in height as more was added with the faucet still running.

Jeevo sighed in frustration and trudged up the stairs to turn off the faucet and stop things from getting worse. The day just kept getting better and better.

Charolette was a bit shocked as to what just happened. She winced as Callli's angry voice boomed through the silence.

"Which idiot left the water running?" his voice was filled with venom as he glared daggers at Georgie. She cowered under his gaze and Sydanne stepped in front of her,

"She wouldn't have left it on if someone hadn't dragged her out of the tub during her bath!" the blue haired beauty retured his glear with intensity. She wouldn't let this oaf blame Georgie for a mistake he made.

"It's ok Sydanne, it is my fault….," Georgie held back her apology when she felt Geo glare at her. She wasn't going to allow her to shoulder the blame alone when the idiotic boy before them had been the one who was at fault.

For the next few minutes heated glares were exchanged between the girls and Calli with neither side showing signs of backing down.

King had had enough.

First he got home to find four females in his home.

Then he finds out one of them is a demon.

Then he ends up thrashing his living room because of said demon.

Then he finds out the demon has a twin and that said twin knocked out his brother and stole his car.

And now, water was under foot and they were being children by playing the blame game.

That was it.

"I think it's about time you leave."

His announcement quelled the silent argument that had been taking place between the girls and his brother. They grabbed their bags with a nod and Charolette looked on in confusion.

"Leave?... But I thought…," she looked at her sister questioningly. She frowned as her sister explained the situation with a thought and a look of horror crossed her face as she finally understood. She thought for a minute, the gravity of the situation finally hitting her with force, "But they… he's here…. Clarissa we can't leave yet… not now," she shook in fear, "I can't go back there Rissa… I can't…" she took a deep breath, "They found me Rissa. They know we are here. I barely managed to escape with my life. He's looking himself and you know that if we don't lay low…were going to end up there again."

Clarissa looked at her sister with an equal amount of fear and looked pass king to the car outside. The white car was marred with bullet holes and one entire side was scrapped, evidence of the difficulty Charolette faced in order to get away.

Clarissa held her sister close as images of the horrors they endured flashed across her mind. She took a couple deep breathes as everyone watched them closely. Charolette and Clarissa had never actually told the girls what happened to them, but the screams they heard at night from the twins as they relived the pain over and over again in their dreams, spoke volumes and they didn't want them to go back to whoever hurt them either.

King was a bit impatient, just wanting them out of his house so he could go to sleep.

Clarissa held a shaking Charolette and looked at King blankly, she couldn't leave, but she wondered if begging to stay would do her any good. She sighed as Charolette clung to her like a life line, almost in tears as painful memories consumed her.

"I… know you want us out of your hair but, I have a favor to ask," she watched as King raised an eyebrow, not bothering to hide his annoyance, "We need to stay here," she saw his protest and cut him off, "We just need a place to lay low until the heat is off. Please…." She begged him shamelessly, putting her pride behind her and trying not to think of what her future would hold as soon as she left this place, praying silently to whatever God was listening to make him say yes.

King looked at the girls, cursing himself for still having a heart. He didn't want to have to deal with people, he didn't even want his brothers in his house. He looked at Cali who seemed to feel the same way at the moment and then at Jeevo who was watching this all unfold from the second floor. He looked again at the girls. He may not have known the red heads for long but it was obvious that they never asked for help from anyone outside their circle unless they needed it.

"You have one week. I expect you gone by one week," he rolled his eyes internally at the relief that washed over her face, "And I expect you to clean up your mess," he gestured to the living room and looked pointedly at the water staining the wooden floor.

Clarissa nodded obediently and soothed Charolette with gently words. They were still safe, for now.

King closed the door and walked to the kitchen and down the stairs to his room on the subfloor. He was intent on locking himself in there for the remainder of their stay and was content to do so if it meant staying away from those girls.

Although… his usually nonexistent curiosity was nagging him as he tried to figure out just what dangers those two red heads were running from.
