1 Judgment

For David, every day was an unending struggle. He tried to get along with everybody, but sometimes the world just seemed like it was against him.

David's parents had died when he was really young. He could still remember them, but his memory was still a little bit cloudy in some areas.

They died in a car accident, that's what they told him, he didn't even get to see their bodies.

Today was just like any other day. He woke up and tried to find a good reason to go through the day and come back home. The reason was like so: Get money.

But that reason was working less and less. But he still went to work hoping that his boss would not trouble him,

But unfortunately for him, his boss thought that it would be the right time to fire him. David really didn't care, the job was important, but so was his pride. He wasn't going to beg his former boss to keep his job.

He had come back home and was laying on the couch watching Netflix while eating some popcorn.

As usual, everything started to blur as the movie just kept on playing. David grabbed the remote, turning the channel into CNN hoping something interesting would be on.

[BREAKING NEWS]

[MAJOR EARTHQUAKE WARNING IN ALL OF THE WORLD]

[MAJOR TECTONIC PLATE MOVEMENT IS ANTICIPATED]

This news was like a bucket of ice cold water for him. "An earthquake, I am so screwed!"

He had just lost his job and an earthquake would now take away his home. And David knew that his insurance would not pay for any of the damage that the earthquake would cause.

[EVERYONE IS ADVISED TO HIDE AT A SAFE PLACE OR STABLE GROUND]

"What am I going to do now?" David was in panic mode now. He lived in an apartment on the sixth floor. If an earthquake were to hit where he lived he would be in massive trouble.

David grabbed his car keys and headed out of his apartment. "It would be best if I were to get to lower ground."

As David passed all his neighbor's door, he said a quick prayer hoping they would be okay. David was not a righteous man, these people were not important to him. He would rather he survive than them. He clicked the elevator button.

"Ding!"

The elevator opened with a ding and David clicked the basement level key on the side of the elevator wall. It took 3 minutes and he immediately ran for the elevator exit as he landed on the basement.

"Are you freaking serious?" David screamed in frustration as he realized he had landed at the car parking area instead of the basement. He must have accidentally clicked the wrong key.

He tried running around hoping he would see an exit but was disappointing when he couldn't see any.

"Booooom!"

David feels to the ground as the earth started shaking. The very foundations of the world seemed to be shaking as time went on. After some time David finally managed to get his footing.

"All of the earth bow's to my majesty. You have stagnated as a species. Even though I blessed you and gave you dominion over the world. You have let hatred cloud your judgment. Now, I will rain my judgment upon you all, and if you can not come together, Woe be unto all flesh."

"I will bestow upon the world a power. The power to grow strong, the power to unite, the power to reach the apex of all my creations. Strive to become one and come and see me."

The dominating, majestic voice rang clear in his mind. He was confused about what was happening. But David sighed in relief as he could feel the earthquake was clearing up.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" David screamed in pain as he fell to his knee's. The pain he could feel in his pain was agonizing. Everything was hurting. His felt like they were inside's were melting.

"PLEASE STOP IT...SOMEONE, PLEASE STOP IT. AHHHHHHHHH!"

Then everything stopped. Time, space, the pain. Everything stopped.

The booming voice of many voices rang out in his head. All David could do was just stay there on his knee's. Eventually, foam started to form in his mouth and his eyes rolled. And he blacked out.

Then all was quiet. If anyone was right there in that apartment parking lot at that moment. They would have witnessed the sight of David's body filled with tribal tattoos. Pictures of ancient dragons and beasts bowed in majesty at his body.

A terrifying, ancient power seemed to emanate from his body.

"SIGH...YOU DESTINY IS REALLY SOMETHING YOUNG DAVID."

An ancient sounding voice rang out in the parking lot.

"I WILL HELP YOU THIS ONE TIME."

The strange sight surrounding David's body disappeared, instead chains filled the space around his body binding his feet, legs, head, and the heart.

"IT WILL BE A WONDER WHEN YOU HAVE FULLY UNLOCKED ALL YOUR POWERS. GOOD LUCK ARISTARCHUS."
