9 Chapter 9

"The food smells really nice," Gu Chunhua said inhaling the aroma of the food. She invited her roommates to join her. Three of them dug in.

Now Gu Chunhua was herself. Chattering endlessly without letting the other two speakers. Even though she was trying to hide her emotions, her roommates knew well that she was putting on an act.

Seeing that her smiles and chatter are not doing any good in changing the atmosphere, Gu Chunhua felt hopeless.

'come on Gu Chunhua. Come up with something interesting. Something interesting enough to distract them' she thought.

" Li Lixin, the guy that sat next to you was really hot. What's his name?"

After dinner, Li Lixin called her mom. She wanted to introduce her roommates to her parents.

"What happened, mom? Why are you crying?" a confused Li Lixin asked.

"We just missed you so much, dear. It's the first time you are staying away from us. It is too much for us."

"Anyway, how was your first day? Did you make friends? How's the university? Do you like it? Do you like living in the dorm? Do you wanna come back?" her mother asked wiping off the tears.

" Easy mom, easy. Let me answer you one by one. My first day was awesome. My roommates are really friendly and we are quite comfortable together. As for the university, it is yet to be discovered. "

Moving towards her rommates she continued " Mom let me introduce my roommates now. This is Gu Chunhua and that is Wen Jiao. "

" Girls, meet my loving and beautiful mom"

"Hi, auntie. How are you?" Gu Chunhua asked with a bright smile.

"I am good dear. I am happy that Xin'er found friends within a day. Are you in the same class?"
