1 A new beginning

Mr. and Mrs. Li felt a strange sensation of pain and fear when they got into the car. They were going to send their only daughter Li Lixin to the dorm as she wanted. She was the only heir of Li enterprises and the apple of their eye. But she herself had made the decision to stay at the dorm, away from her parents.

Li Lixin could sense the tension in the car.

Even though her mom had always taught her to be independent, she never had the willingness to send her daughter all on her own. Like every mother, she was scared that her child would not be able to tackle life without her protection.

Li Lixin looked at her dad, who was no better than her mother. He had never stopped her from doing anything she wished to but when she made the decision to stay away from her parents he had completely rejected it.

Li Lixin worked really hard to make her parents agree to her decision. But she knew, it would be worth it.

The car stopped in front of the girls' dorm.

Li Lixin was about to get out of the car.

"Sweetie, do you really want to do this?", her dad asked.

Her lips curved into a smile as she heard her father " sure, dad. I want to do this. Anyway as I promised if I can't adjust here then I will come home and stop being stubborn."

A week ago she was successful in persuading her parents to agree to her. But then they put the condition that if she fails she will have to marry the guy to whom she was engaged since childhood. She had agreed to the conditions confidently.

Li Lixin kissed goodbye to her parents. She kept waving her hands till the car was out of sight.

Li Lixin turned around to see the entrance of the girls' dorm. It is going to be the place where she would live till she completes her studies. She could feel a mixture of emotions within her.

With a smile, she said "it's a new beginning"
