6 The Power of The Soul

When the students heard what the headmaster had said they swarmed towards the statues. One student was almost trampled because of all of the other's actions. There were only two people who stayed were they were.

These two people were Milo and Azrael. Both of them remembered what the headmaster had said earlier, telling them that they had to stay in single file.

What Milo, Azrael, and the rest didn't know was that they were already being graded on their actions. There actions and reactions would play a big part in their class placement and standing within the school.

None of the teachers were surprised with how Milo acted, but they were surprised with how Azrael acted. Azrael was defiantly the dark horse out of these students.

Some of the teachers put more faith in Azrael then they did in Milo. Th main reason for this, was that they believed that, they would be able to shape Azrael into what the school needed. This belief could not be farther from the truth.

If they wanted, they could look into Azrael's mysterious past, but saw no need to. This lack of information and laziness on the school's part would cost many lives in the future.

Even if they did know what he did, they would probably want him even more. A mysterious organization like this needed people with Azrael's talents.

What were these talents that they were looking for? The janitorial position, cleaners after all are always in high demand, especially one with so much experience and proficiency at the job.

The best student here would definitely be Milo. Milo had the greatest morals and the greatest value.

This does not say that any of the other students did not hold as much value, because they didn't. Milo just held the greatest, or at least he did. Now he had to share that with Azrael.

When all of the teachers saw the students crowding towards the statues, they couldn't help but smile. After all the students were hurting their futures by showing such a greedy nature.

When the students got beneath the statues nothing happened. Nothing happened because no teachers allowed them to reawaken the students.

This caused the students to be perplexed, as they did not know what was wrong. Agitation started to set in with the crowd of students. You could hear students screaming.

"What is wrong?"

'Why isn't it working?"

Or the greater out of all the voices.

"Were is my ****ing superpower?"

The person who said that was instantly remembered by all of the teachers. Even if he did great, because he couldn't hold his mouth he would suffer for the rest of the time he was here.

Finally the head master stepped in. He didn't say anything for a while, as he found the whole situation amusing. It's not every day that you can see people acting in such a way directly infant of you. Especially for such a reason, if he wanted to see this again, he would have to wait till next year. Even then each year was different with all of the children.

When he did step in he said.

"ALL OF YOU, BACK IN TO SINGLE FILE."

He said it in such a booming voice the entire building shook. The children were shocked. They couldn't imagine the wizardly old man to have such a strong voice.

Milo and Azrael didn't even flinch when this happened. Just using common sense they knew this headmaster had to be the strongest in the school. If he wasn't then he wouldn't be able to maintain leadership over the school.

The headmaster continued saying.

"All of those who do not follow the rules will be kicked out. I must also mention that they will not have there Singula reawakened."

When the students heard this they were in Horror. If they couldn't have their Singula reawakened then they would forever be normal people.

Who could continue living there boring average lives knowing such a shocking truth with everything. Because of that they all got into single file once again.

There were a few minor scuffles, but they were resolved as fast as they appeared. No-one wanted to test the headmaster any more than they had. Even if they did they were hoping it would be someone else not themselves.

The process of Reawakening the students Singula continued once again with both threats and joy hanging over the students hearts.

The sight of student walking beneath the statues outstretched hand and the particles streaming forth from there bodies was seen again and again by Milo. Rarely a teacher would step forward and snap his fingers to stop the Particles from going to out of control.

As it was approaching Milos turn he saw a girl step forward beneath the hand. He could overhear that her name was Rose. She was very beautiful for her age and she seemed to shine like a crystal to Milo.

When the statue was activated piercing yellow particle flew from her body at fast speeds. It almost seemed as if they wished to race away from her body as fast as possible.

When the teachers saw this many of them raised there eyes in acknowledgement. They were able to tell that this child was special. Over all of the commotion that went on because of this, Milo was not able to hear the rest of her name.

After she was done she was moved out by a teacher. All of the students after reawakening were showed out, right after awakening there Singula. The teachers said this was to provide privacy to the students.

Finally there were only two lines left with people in them. And these two lines only had one individual each in them. These two people were Milo and Azrael. when Azrael stepped forward, the person beside the statue said.

"Azrael Jones?"

To which Azrael replied.

"Yes."

The person then said.

"Your fathers Singula was the refinement of internal strength, your mothers Singula was purification.

Azrael didn't respond to this. The person beside the statue took this as an ok.

The person beside the statue then said.

"I am about to start the Awakening of your Singula get ready."

Azrael only nodded in acknowledgment to the person.

When the reawakening started pure white particles started to flow from Azraels body profusely. It was like when a dam is opened up and water pours out endlessly.

The person was shocked by this abnormal occurrence. He could only imagine, that this was one of the rare times, that both parents abilities complemented each other and merged to form a new Singula.

The teacher asked what word popped into Azraels mind when his Singula was reawakened. Azrael responded with.

"Soul."

The teachers were shocked by this. The reason for their shock was that no ability had ever existed that dealt with the soul. There hadn't even been such an ability spoken of in legends...
