15 Treasure
Inside a certain room, a young boy could be seen with a euphoric face. That young lad was, of course, Hou Yan. After stealing *cough* claiming the treasures that were ownerless, Hou Yan's mood improved by a large margin. When he was first exploring the palace, Hou Yan found nothing but junk. But after claiming all of these treasures, you could say that he was truly happy.
Some of the treasures he obtained included, an earth grade sword, 12,000 high spirit stones, 30,000 medium spirit stones, and lastly, 120,000 low spirit stones. Right now, Hou Yan was so rich, even the wealthiest experts from Profound Continent would lose against his wealth.
Since there were 5 minutes left before getting kicked out, Hou Yan decided to further explore the palace and see whether he could obtain more treasure.
From a distant place, there were two eyes that had witnessed everything that happened. The two eyes belonged to a disciple from the Heavenly Saber Sect. He was truly scared and decided to hide rather than involve himself in that massacre. What could he do against a monster like Hou Yan? Nothing! He would rather witness everything and report it to the sect.
The monsters deep into the palace were getting stronger and stronger. It was to the point that even Hou Yan had to be a little bit serious when dealing with them. Especially the lightning cat. After a while of killing and running, Hou Yan was in front of a huge gate. The gate had carvings of dragons and phoenixes. To the sides of the gate were two statues. One of the statues was a lion roaring and the other statue, similar to the first statue, was a tiger roaring. Just looking at those statues would instill fear in the hearts of cultivators but this was Hou Yan. He wasn't afraid of statues.
Hou Yan then walked closer to the gate and pushed it open. What was most shocking was that the gate made Hou Yan use all of his strength just to push it open.
Inside the huge room, there was an altar in the middle. The altar itself was decorated with candles and roses and on top of the altar was a black box.
Walking closer to the alter, Hou Yan felt something pressuring his body. With each step he took, the pressure would increase. Gritting his teeth, Hou Yan moved closer and closer to the altar. He had to obtain that black box. It wasn't that he wanted it but something was telling him to obtain it.
'Host, you only have 1 minute before getting kicked out.'
Hou Yan was 10 steps away from the altar and the pressure he was feeling right now would definitely result in the death of those with weak bodies. Hou Yan took 5 more steps before vomiting blood. He felt like his organs would explode any minute.
'Host, you only have 37 seconds left.'
He got closer and closer until he was right next to the altar. He stretched his hand wanting to grab the box but the box felt really heavy. He tried lifting it with all his might but that led to no avail. Hou Yan was getting desperate now. He only had 10 seconds left but he couldn't even move the box. Then an idea struck his head. If he can't move the box physically, then why not just store it in his storage ring?
"HAHAHA IM TRULY A GENIUS!"
'No, you are a dumbass.'
"Oh, shut up. You are just jealous."
Putting the box inside, Hou Yan waited for the countdown to end.

Then white light covered him. In the blink of an eye, Hou Yan found himself outside. The pressure was got and he was barely able to stand up due to using up his stamina.
He took out a pill from his storage ring he found in the palace. It was called 'Energy Revitalizing Pill'. The effects of this pill are that it helps restore user's energy/stamina. Although not fully or instantly but it restores 70% of the user's stamina in 30 seconds.
Once he recovered his stamina, Hou Yan went invisible and ran away. He went towards the mountain regions and searched for a cave. After a while of searching, Hou Yan was able to find a cave. Although it wasn't big, it could fit 10 Hou Yans in it.

A disciple of Heavenly Saber sect was finally kicked out after 5 minutes of hiding. He was truly happy for coming out alive and not falling victim to that massacre. All of a sudden, a figure flew towards the disciple and began to question him.
"Who killed 6 of our sect's disciples? Did they die to the monsters?"
"No, elder. They were killed by a creature scarier than a monster!"
"Huh? what do you mean?"
"I saw it with my own eyes, while our sect's disciples were stealing *cough* claiming some treasures they found, a young man came behind them and began to kill them. No one survived except me. I was lucky that he didn't see me or else I would've lost my pitiful life!"
"WHO DARES TO BE BRAZEN AND KILL MY SECT'S DISCIPLES?! TELL ME, HOW DOES HE LOOK LIKE AND WHAT IT IS HIS NAME!"
The elder was truly infuriated when he found out what had happened. The other sects were gloating at the misfortune of the Heavenly Saber sect. Especially the Soaring Dragon sect disciples. Because most of them were sword users, the Heavenly Saber sect disciples looked down at them with disdain.
When the elder saw how the other sects were gloating at their misfortune, the elder was truly mad but he couldn't do anything about it. If he dared to fight with them, he would truly lose because of their number.
"The scary creature looks like..."
The disciple began to describe Hou Yan's appearance but he didn't know his name. When he was describing Hou Yan's clothes, he didn't mention about him wearing Eternal Glory's sect clothes. That was because Hou Yan wore different clothes in order not to bring himself trouble.
The elder was searching for Hou Yan but he was nowhere to find. How could a mere lad like him escape from him was truly a shocking matter. What he didn't know was that Hou Yan had already left when he first came out. Why would he wait around? That's just courting death.

Inside the cave, Hou Yan was examining the box. He wasn't able to open it nor break it. He was truly helpless.
"System, help me. How do I open this box?"
'Try dropping your blood on it.'
When Hou Yan heard the system's response, he took out his sword and made a cut on his finger. Some blood got on his sword but Hou Yan put it away. After that, he poured some drops of blood on the box and healed his finger.
The box began to change its color. It went from black to brown to red. Once it turned red, Hou Yan tried to open it again and this time, it worked. He was finally able to open the box and look at the content inside the box.
Inside the box were a book and a pill. Hou Yan began to examine the book but when he touched it, a white light suddenly invaded his sea of consciousness. Jokes on that white light, it wasn't even able to scratch a bit of Hou Yan's sea of consciousness. The system immediately got a grip of the light and refined it for Hou Yan and strengthened his soul. After consuming that white light, Hou Yan's soul was strong beyond words. Hou Yan didn't know that the system helped strengthen his soul but what he knew was that a white light tried invading his sea of consciousness but disappeared immediately. Then, all of a sudden, his soul became stronger. Truly a mystery.
