11 Inner Disciple

While Hou Yan was walking towards the general affairs hall to become an inner disciple, he didn't realize the scene he was causing. He kept on hearing women screaming about ravaging some beautiful man.

Hou Yan wanted to literally puke from system's 'teehee'. What the actual f*ck was it trying to do? Ugh, I need to ignore this crazy system. With such mindset, Hou Yan proceeded towards the general affairs hall while ignoring the screams and such that were happening around him.

"Disciple Greets to elder Zhong. I have come to be promoted from outer to inner disciple."

The elder probed him in order to check if he was lying but when he discovered his Foundation Establishing cultivation, he stopped. The elder then signaled for a disciple to come and made him explain trivial information about reaching inner disciple.

What Hou Yan discovered was that unlike outer disciples, inner disciples have to live in one of the 5 mountain peaks. Each mountain peak is ruled by a peak lord, who are below the sect master in authority.

The 5 peaks were Fragrant Cloud Peak, Sword Principle Peak, Forging Peak, Misty Peak, and lastly, Mirage Peak.

When one became an inner disciple, they must thoughtfully consider which peak they want to join. Once you join a peak, you won't have a second chance to switch to another peak but only with exceptions.

The first but the strongest peak was the Sword Principle peak. They are sword users who seek to perfect their sword skills. The first most important peak is the Fragrant Cloud peak. In this peak, they produce all the pills needed in the sect. The other three are the Forging peak, forges weapons and such, Misty Peak, recruit only women in order to ensure that no male disciples try anything funny, and the last of the three, the mirage peak. Although this peak may look the weak, its actual strength is a mystery. The Mirage peak disciples master the arts of illusion and such. The higher one's mastery on the illusion arts, the stronger their illusions are, which makes them one hell of a troublesome opponent.

After a while of thoughtfully thinking about it, Hou Yan chose Fragrant Cloud Peak. One of the reasons why is because this peak had the materials you would need in order to concoct pills. Albeit expensive, Hou Yan can use the low costing ingredients to make heaven-defying pills.

When Hou Yan first began his journey in the arts of concoction, the system told him that he won't have a 100% chance of success concoction of pills. Till later did he find out he was being pranked by the system. The system wanted to see him fail over many times and make him lose tons of money and then laugh at him but what it forgot was that Hou Yan had a high success chance rate due to the tweakings that were done to his occupation, alchemist.

"Ugh, system! Why must you try to prank me like that?"

'It would've been funny to see you fail till you went bankrupt and finally sold your virginity on an auction. Hahaha, thinking about it makes me laugh really hard but sadly, my dreams didn't become reality.'

Proceeding towards the Fragrant Cloud peak, Hou Yan had to climb the mountain. Only Core Formation experts could fly, so Hou Yan had to do the old school style and climb the mountain. While climbing the mountain, Hou Yan could smell a sweet fragrance. Fragrant Cloud peak was unique for its fragrant smell that could be smelled all across the mountain. Even the clouds on top of Fragrant Cloud were made up of air that had the same smell.

Another thing Fragrant Cloud peak was unique for was the spirit medicines that grew on the mountain. They had an iron claw rule that stated: Any disciple caught plucking out spirit medicines, shall be imprisoned for a decade.

When the disciples heard about that rule, they immediately stopped plucking out the spirit medicines, but can such a rule truly stop a shameless guy like Hou Yan?

Going into invisibility, Hou Yan was running around the mountain plucking out all the spirit medicines. Because the disciples that monitored the mountain daily couldn't see Hou Yan, they weren't able to intervene.

After plucking out all the spirit medicines he could find in the mountain, he decided to ascend to the peak. While he was ascending, he was greeted by the mountain monitors. Every time a mountain monitor called out to him, Hou Yan's back would be soaking with cold sweat. He would think that they found out it was him who plucked out all the spirit medicines, but the mountain monitors only wanted to greet him.

They thought because of his beauty, he might be from some bigshot family and that he might be a rare genius. It was both true that he was from a bigshot family and that he was a rare genius. Except that the big shot family didn't even care about him and his talent was only known by him. In the sect, you could consider him an ordinary inner disciple if he was compared with other inner disciples.

Once he arrived at the top of the peak, he traveled straight towards the main hall of the Fragrant Cloud peak. In there he registered for the Fragrant Cloud peak and received the inner disciple kit that every disciple would receive.

Rather than receiving a room number, Hou Yan rather received keys to a house. It seemed that inner disciples got their own houses rather than outer disciples who only had rooms.

Hou Yan's house had a kitchen, basement, a bedroom, a living room, and its own courtyard. What surprised him more was that inside the basement, it was designed to concoct pills there. The place had a furnace and etc...

Although Hou Yan wanted to explore the Fragrant Cloud peak, he had to find a way to decrease the number of spirit medicines he was carrying. The best method was to either bury it in his courtyard or his basement or either concoct them into pills and eat them.

He chose the latter choice.

After concocting an astronomical amount of pills, Hou Yan felt dizzy due to exhaustion of Qi. He would truly be seen as a monster towards others if they found out the amount of Qi he actually used to concoct those pills.

Without waiting for further ado, Hou Yan began to munch down on pills.

The system notification kept ringing and ringing while Hou Yan kept munching and munching. If this was back in Earth, his family would truly need the support of Welfare for if they don't gain their support, there won't be enough food for them to eat.

Hou Yan's jaws dropped.

"Did I go from the lower levels of Qi Condensation to the peak of Foundation Establishing in just the time frame of a week? So unbelievable!!! I am truly a heaven-defying genius!!"
