This is the Xuan Huang world. It's different than the Earth you are from. This world has 4 continents, Divine Dao Continent, Profound Continent, Sky Cloud continent, Southern Desolate Continent.

Southern Desolate Continent has another name which is The Barren Land. This continent has the thinnest Qi out of all the continents. Those who live here have to put multiple times more effort than others.

The Sky Cloud continent is similar to Profound continent, there is nothing special about it except the legacies that are located on this continent.

Divine Dao Continent is the biggest and most mysterious continent. The Qi in this continent is many times thicker than any of the other continents. Many supreme beings are located here. For a sect or clan to reach the top, it depends how many Void Shattering cultivators it houses. In order to establish a sect or a clan, the leader has to at least reach Void Shattering realm.

You are currently located in Profound continent, which as its name states, a profound continent full of mysteries. There have been legacies left behind by many ancient cultivators who have ascended and left for higher realms.

In Profound continent, there are 6 major sects and 4 major clans. The 6 major sects are Everlasting Immortal Sect, Ethereal Ice Sect, Heavenly Saber Sect, Soaring Dragon Sect, Eternal Glory Sect, and Immortal Buddha Sect.

To enter Ethereal Ice Sect, one needs to be a female and needs to have an affinity with water/ice element.

For Soaring Dragon Sect, they are filled with warriors who aren't scared of death and wouldn't even bat an eye if Death God appeared in front of them. They are arrogant but only to a certain part.

The Heavenly Saber Sect use sabers and view sabers are supreme to other weapons.

Everlasting Immortal Sect and Eternal Glory Sect are a diverse type of sect who accept all kinds of disciples.

Lasty, Immortal Buddha Sect follows the teachings of Buddha and in order to join their sect, one must get rid of their desires and attachments to mortal affairs. They are aloof and don't involve themselves in mortal issues.

The four major clans are Xiao clan, Bai clan, Yun clan, and Hou clan. All four clans are peaceful to each other on the surface.

You are from the Hou clan. They believe that noncultivators are nothing but inferior creatures and don't care what happens to them.

For the other clans, I won't be telling you much about them as it's just unnecessary information.

Also, keep this in your mind, supreme beings in this world have a cultivation of peak Void Shattering realm. They can't go above it because of some matters you need to investigate.'

In this world, every living being can cultivate. Even a spirit can cultivate and if the spirit can generate its own body when it reaches a high realm.

In order to cultivate, one needs to sense QI. Once they sense Qi, they begin to gather more of it. They then began to condense the gathered Qi, which is the first realm of cultivation, Qi condensation. As each level goes on, the Qi in your body gets thicker and thicker as it condenses. At the peak of Qi condensation, your whole body would be filled with thick Qi.

In order to break to the next realm, you need to create your dantian. This is where it gets hard. In this step, there are many who wouldn't be able to breakthrough for months or even years. In this step, you gather all of your thick and condensed Qi and bang it on the stop near your navel. You keep banging on it until it breaks. This process might take a while depending on one's innate talent.

Once the barrier that separated your body from your dantian breaks, you would then be able to store your Qi in your dantian. This also means that you have finally entered the Foundation Establishing realm. In this realm, you need to establish your foundation or in other words, toughen up your dantian. To do this, one must use their Qi and temper their dantian. The more tempered the foundation is, the stronger and tougher it would be.

Once you have established a solid foundation, then you begin to break through to the Core Formation realm. In order to reach this realm, you need to create your core. To do this, you need to first condense a lot of Qi into a small ball. If you succeed, then you would immediately be able to step into the Core Formation realm. it might sound easy but in order to create a small ball of condensed Qi, you would need to absorb a lot of Qi. The amount of Qi you need to absorb would be multiple times more than you do in Foundation Establishing realm. Absorbing impure Qi can result in taking a lot of time to break through.

After forming that ball, it would then become your core. You then have to absorb even more Qi until it reaches the size of a soccer ball in order to break through to the next realm. Legend has it that ancient cultivators used to have dantians that were as wide and deep as the oceans and cores that were bigger than islands. With a soccer ball sized core, you would be able to release the power that can cause the skies to begin to shatter.

In order to break through to the Void Shattering realm, you would need to be able to cause the space to shatter and the void to appear. Void Shattering is the highest realm one can achieve in this world. Peak Void Shattering cultivators have the strength to cause the heavens to shatter with just their glare.'

They carry unparalleled might and develop their own will. In order to use Heaven type weapons, one must be accepted by the will. For the grade type techniques, they are similar to the weapon type, and most of the major sects have Heave grade cultivation.
