3 Chapter 3 - System Tutorials
"System."
[Yes Host]
"Give me a brief rundown of the system functions."
[Yes Host. You currently have access to 4 system tabs: Status, Inventory, Summoning, and Quests]
[To open a tab simply think of the tab and mentally think open]
I focused on the word status and mentally thought open. A second later a blue transparent screen popped up in front of me.

My eyes roamed over the screen taking in the information. Everything was pretty simple but, I raised an eyebrow when I saw the question marks next to my name.
"System, what's with the question marks?" I asked. Was the system asking me if I wanted a new name?
[Orginal owner of the body host now possesses. The information will not be revealed until the Host is at a sufficient level]
Was the name that important? I felt my thoughts go wild with the possibilities and reasons as to why the information would be hidden from me. Perhaps I was an important person? No, that didn't make much sense. If the original owner was important then why was I in a random forest clearing? I pushed the information to the back of my mind, I'd think about it later.
"System can you explain what a summoning token is?"
[Summoning tokens are what you will use to summon. There are 4 different types of summoning tokens and they can be gained through various means. Leveling up, Completing quests, Gaining a title, and more]
"Can you tell me the different types?" I said in an excited voice. I may not have asked for this, but the idea of being able to summon was pretty cool.
[Common Token - This token can be used to acquire a single summon, it has no special bonuses.]
[Situation Token - This token can be used to acquire a single summon, it has the bonus of summoning a summon suitable for the situation you are in e.g if you are fighting in the water and you use this token, a summon which can fight in the water or help you will be summoned]
[Unique Token - This token can be used to acquire a single summon, using the token will guarantee that a unique character is summoned]
[Special request token - This token can be used to acquire a single summon, the Host can request something like a certain book or anime and then use this token to gain a summon from it.
I finished reading everything and mentally stored the information away. I closed my status with a mental command and opened the other 3 tabs. 3 transparent blue screens appeared in front of me and I examined each.

Once again everything seemed very simple and I mentally thanked whoever had designed the system. It was simple yet effective and wouldn't take long to get used to.

Before I used the token I opened my summoning tab and took another look at it. I had an idea of what my summon storage was, but it would be better to confirm it with the system.
"System can you explain what Summon Storage is?"
[Summons can not permanently die. when a summon is killed they will return to storage and rest for a set period of time. When the time is over they will be back to full health. The stronger the summon, the longer it will take for them to recover in storage]
[If a summon is injured or dirty then simply send them to storage and a timer will appear next to their name telling you how long it will take for them to get back to full health/cleanliness. The amount of time will depend on the injury while it only takes a minute every time for a to summon to be cleaned and have their clothes repaired]
I thanked the system and focused inwards. I mentally thought of the summoning token I had and tried to use it.

There was a quick flash of white light.

My eyes opened wide and my jaw dropped as I stared at the creature that I had summoned.
At 6ft tall, the creature had bone-like armor and a skull-shaped mask. Its sword hung at its side and it was eerily still. Its dark eye sockets turned to me and I knew that I should have been scared, but I wasn't. I knew I normally would have been, but this was my summon. It was completely and utterly loyal to me. I told it to nod its head and felt a smile tug at the corner of my lips as it obediently followed my command. I had always loved all of the souls game and being able to not only see but control a dark soul's enemy was awesome.
"Stand guard," I commanded. I had no idea if there were any hostile creatures in the forest and I didn't want to get hurt just because I wasn't paying attention or didn't have anyone to watch my back.
I mentally used the other summoning token and hoped I got something good.

Again there was a quick flash of white light.

The smile on my face was wide and genuine as I stared at my summon. The woman in front of me was young and curvaceous with short blonde hair that had two long tuffs that framed her golden eyes. She was clad in a revealing outfit with a black tube top, detachable sleeves, pants that showed her inner thighs, brown knee-high boots, and a white scarf around her neck.
"Yo, Boss," she said in an upbeat and cheerful tone. I silently thanked whichever God had placed me in this world as I felt my excitement grow. I went to speak but was cut off as Leone wrapped her arms around me and shoved my head into her large breasts.
"No need to be shy Boss," she joked, pushing my head further into her bust. So her personality is the same, I thought. I wonder how it feels for her? I lifted my head from her breasts and smiled at her, "While I don't mind this. I do have some questions I wanna ask you." She freed me from her embrace and placed her hands on her hips, "Ask away."
I hesitated for a moment. had she been summoned from her own world? or was she created by the system?
"How... How does it feel to be a summon?" I asked with a hesitant voice. I knew she was my summon, but I didn't want to hurt her physically or emotionally. I didn't think she would feel good if she had been taken from her world, but then again leone had died in both the anime and manga, so maybe it wasn't bad.
A thoughtful look appeared on her face, "I know who I am and I have my memories." she said, and I felt my heart rate increase. "But, I also know that your my master and that I would do anything for you." A wide smile appeared on her face and she wrapped her arms around me in another hug and once again pushed my head into her breasts, "I'm happy as long as you're happy and as long as I'm next to you, nothing else matters," she finished in a surprisingly soft and gentle voice.
I let out a breath I hadn't realized I had been holding in and smiled, if this was how all my summons felt then I wouldn't have any problems with summoning characters. We spent a couple of minutes in each other arms before I finally asked her to let go. I looked around and noticed that everything was much darker and looked up to see the sun going down. Shit, I thought, it was gonna be night soon and I had no food or fire. I wondered if there were any villages nearby?

Well, that answered that. The sound of a rustling broke me from my thoughts and I turned just in time to see a giant wasp come charging out from a bush to my right. My eyes did widen slightly. However, I didn't move, but instead just stood still and waited, this bug picked the wrong person to mess with. When the wasp was just a few feet away, my dark wraith appeared and placed itself between me and the wasp, its weapon unsheathed. its blade whistled through the air as it met the wasp and proceeded to cleave it in two. I took a step back as the two parts of the insect fell to the ground and purplish blood poured from them.

I smiled as I received another Token, but decided that I would use it tomorrow. I turned to Leone, who was staring at the wasp corpse in curiosity, "Leone, can you do some hunting and try and find some food. Don't go too far and if you see a creature you think you can't beat then flee."
"Got it, Boss," she smiled, stretching her arms over her head before picking a direction and walking into the trees.
I was gonna need a fire to stay warm at night and to cook whatever Leone caught. I looked to my other summon and gave him, at least I thought it was him, the command to collect some wood and joined him in doing so. The day had been odd and I was still in slight shock about everything that had happened, but having my summons with me made me feel a hell of a lot better.
