3 3. Just keep breathing

Edden gives me a hug as I sigh. All of the boys stare at me like I'm some kind of new species. I look down at my apple in embarrassment and play with the stem.

"Anyway," Edden continues, breaking the silence, "Hows the food everyone?" Everyone starts to eat and discuss their food when another wave of pain rides over me, this time bringing nausea along with it. I rush away from the table to the bathrooms in the cafeteria and puke up the remaining food in my stomach. I sat beside the toilet when red head Josh walked in to check on me.

"Hey, we never officially met, only by Edden, I'm Josh. I have mild skin cancer in a couple of spots on my Hydrothermus." I nodded, as I threw up again into the toilet, as Josh rubbed my back.

"I'm Jessie," I say, hunched over the toilet, "I have ALL and I'm at beginning of stage 2, so I'm starting Chemotherapy next week." I throw up again, and I sit up, causing a sudden pain in my knees and elbows. I hiss in pain.

"Do you think your done?" Josh asked pointing to the toilet and I nodded, to drained to move much. "Can I take a seat?"

"Yeah." Josh sat next to me and we both sighed. I was exhausted. I must have gotten pale because Josh spoke me a little bit, causing a little pain.

"Are you okay dude? You just threw up like, 5 times, and now you are all quite and you just got super pale." I sigh.

"No, I don't know, this is weird, I had two Leukemia flare ups today. I usually only have one every month. I think I should call a nurse, maybe get that checked out?"

"Maybe bro, or you could just have to stomach flu, which I'm guessing gets intensified by Leukemia?"

"And that sir," I respond, "Is where you are right." We walk out of the bathroom together and Edden rushed towards me.

"Dude! What happened? Are you alright?" I nodded and said goodbye to everone and went into my room. Right before exiting the cafeteria, I saw Sarah run up towards me with tears running down her face.

"Hey, Sarah, bub, what's wrong?" I ask her when she runs into my chest for a huge.

"My stomach feels icky, I think I'm gonna throw up." I quickly run her into the bathroom where she leans over the toilet and throws up. I rub her back and she starts to cry.

"I know honey, I know, let it all out." She closes the toilet and I flush it. I push her long, blonde hair that is down to her butt away, and I see a hair tie on her wrist.

"Do you want me to put your hair up?" She smiles and laughs.

"Boys can't do hair silly." I laugh and put her hair into a triple braid hair pull back bun and she looks at me, surprised.

"I know a thing or two about hair." We both laugh as we come out of the bathroom and she goes and runs to her friends and brags about her hair. I laugh and walks toward the elevator in the hallway. When the door opens, a girl with brown, thick hair, small, brownish yellowish eyes, a light skin color walks past me. She smiles at me and I sigh, knowing she just likes me for my looks. She smiles and looks at my arm.

"I like your tattoo, what's it of?" My eyes widen in shock, happy she was paying attention to me and not my body or face.

"Oh, it's of me and my sister Seera. She died of drowning when she was 7 because she went into the pool by herself without telling me." I sigh.

"Oh, I'm so sorry for bringing up a sensitive topic. I'm sorry, I'm Aria." She extended her hand and I take it.

"Jessie, nice to meet you. You don't look like a patient, so I take you as a visitor. Well, sorry for the person you were visiting. " She smiles and walks away. I walk into the elevator and as it goes up I feel faint, and I faint. Doctors or Nurses must have found me and they rushed me to surgery I guess, apparently, my stomach was rejecting everything I ate so it caused my stomach to start to tear through itself. They did surgery where they fixed my stomach and put in an feeding tube, just in case I need nutrients right away if this happens again. When I wake up from Surgery, I hear my doctor taking to my parents in another room.

"Jessie has Stage 3 ALL and we have to start Chemotherapy as soon as possible." Their foes my social life.
