102 Chapter 102: Date afresh

Sitting there just as confused as James was Katie in baby blue dress that stopped at her mid thigh and pure white sneakers. Her hair falling calmly on her shoulders.

After looking at each other silently for a while, being as smart as they were they figured out that this was Catherine's and Samuel's doing.

Samuel had sent her a message telling her to meet him here for dinner.

"I thought I was having dinner with Catherine." James said breaking the silence.

"I thought I was having dinner with Samuel" Katie replied with blushy smile.

"Katie, I'm so sorry." James said walking over to her. "I was stupid, I didn't know how to deal with all this news and people not telling me everything and I lashed out. Please forgive me." James said now crouching so he could eye level with the sitting Katie.

"James I didn't think you were coming back." Katie said letting her hand graze James'slight stubble.

"I needed you, I missed you too much to stay away. Please come back to me." James pleaded.

Placing her hands on a lap Katie looked at James, " I'm not sure I can, it's been a difficult week and I still need time to adjust."

"What are you saying?" James asked afraid of the answer.

"I'm saying give me time." Katie said bending to give James a peck. Picking up her purse she turned to leave the room.

Touching the place she just kissed and feeling her warmth James got up stalking after her and reaching her just before her hand touched the handle.

Pulling her into him, placing one hand on her lower back the other behind her neck and dipping his head. James released all his fear and worry and kissed his girl, the girl he had missed so much.

The kiss was slow and sensual, but Katie wasn't responding. Worried that he might have pushed her James was about to let go of her when Katie pulled him back and continued the kiss. Instead this time with more need and love.

Pulling away from the kiss without taking their eyes of the other, Katie attempted to step back but James had a firm hold on her waist.

"Don't go, please?" James tried once more to convince Katie to stay.

"James I..."

"At least just stay for dinner, if we have to start from the beginning and date afresh then that's what we'll do." James grasped at straws anything that could keep her by his side. "Please"

"Alright, let's have dinner." Katie agreed.

With his hands still on the small of Katie's back James led her back to the table.

The couple sat down to eat.

They spent the night talking a lot but mainly avoiding the main reason why they were in this situation.

Meanwhile Catherine and Samuel where in the other room watching their plan play out.

"At least they are still together." Samuel said to cheer Catherine. "So my dear Rose we did good."

"Yes we did my love." Catherine replied.

The mischievous duo drank to their small victory.

"So which do you prefer, me with red or brown hair.?" Catherine asked

" As long as the hair lays upon the head of my Rose, it could be green for all I care. You are still extremely breath taking." Samioe said holding onto Catherine's hand.

" Aww that's really cheesy." Catherine replied

Both couples enjoyed the rest of their night.

Katie and James set out first, they cruised calmy around the city. James drove Katie to the massive and magnificent Zhou residence.

"Tonight was lovely, thank you." Katie said picking up her purse.

"You are welcome, I'll call you ok?"

"I hope you do. Goodnight."

Katie got down from the car and was escorted into the mansion by gaurds.

Sitting in the car alone looking out at such a precious house. Not precious because of its size but because it housed hi precious girl. James wasn't sure how he was going to cope without her, but he knew that as long as she was willing then they were going to be fine.

As Katie walked in a maid offered her Slippers while she removed her shoes, then she walked out to the koi garden where her mother always had evening tea.

"Oh Jade, you are back." Mother Zhou called out gesturing for Katie to walk over. Ever since Katie moved in her mother has been calling her Jade because she chose the name and didn't feel right calling her anything else.

"Are you okay? You look strange." Mother Zhou asked noticing Katie's uneasiness.

"I'm fine mom, maybe I just need some tea." Katie said put my herself a cup.

"It's the boy isn't it? You are thinking about James, right?" Mother Zhou asked proving to be a lot more perceptive than she let on.

Sighing Katie replied, "I just really miss him."

"Then fly to wherever he is and drag him back." Mother Zhou stated.

Gently laughing Katie said, "no he is back, I just went to see him actually."

"Then what's the matter? You are back together."

"I wish it was that simple mom."

Mother Zhou gently hugged her daughter comforting her, she has missed being able to comfort her daughter all these years.
