7 Christmas day

"Cousin, I told you to bring her here, but you have refused. Thinking about her freedom. Our woman, she is to be ours. Here is where she belongs and where she will be safe. In that world, even though she is a half-breed she is still the perfect fit." Vin Guang said, the Du-Gooder lineage had been chosen for one specific reason only. She is theirs. Vin Gui spoke soon after, trying to keep himself calm. "They do not know where she is." The slightly older man stood up. He is impatient. In this timeline, he had stayed for thirty-six years. Their time is almost up! Vin Guang, thinking about these points growled out, "The third try, and world. It is so backward!"

"The her here—" Vin Gui tried to speak, but Vin Guang did not allow him to finish. "Is beyond ignorant." He snapped feeling irritated. He felt as though she might be smart in some aspects, but rather clueless in others. A mistake had cost him so much.

"Time is running out!"

"Don't you think I know that?" he snapped at his cousin, the snarl built in his throat, rising until it escaped into a hissing roar.

In their last life, the two were twin cheetah guardians, their mate a feline four tail. A beautiful female with pitch black fur scattered with a golden highlight. Long triangular ears, a lupine jawline and six long slim legs. At that time, he could not help but to lick his muzzle as his body reacted to her perfect form.

Cheetah guardians and a realm stepper feline.

The same and yet not the same. The two knew that they might suffer, but she was the one to keep them stable, one to carry their offspring. They could not let go. In the end, they suffered. Their souls split. As twin guardians, their soul was split in two, two flesh, but one soul shared that they could deal with but after the last punishment. They had further be split becoming this.

"Brother, this timeline is unstable, we... We should find her, snatch her and return." Vin Guang said. Vin Gui twitch his lips thinking of the conversation and their effort to find after noticing she was abandoned by her family. He could not help adding soon after hearing his bro—cousin speak. "Finding her will be an issue, our power is less than five percent." Vin Guang sneered at this prowling to the other side of the room and growling out words he knew had to be said, "We have a year. After that, we must leave."

"Our soul shards in this realm..."

The two continued this back-and-forth discussion for a while, coming up with a plan they hope would help them find their missing mate. Locate the soul shards.

Christmas day.

Another Christmas alone. My friend had left a message saying she will be gone for a few days and asked once the holidays were over if I could fill in for her. The club will be closed for a month, so I will be out of work. My graduation is also over, but the two brothers never showed up. I felt depressed by this, especially when they did not answer my calls or messages.

I guess I will just head to the club and celebrate Christmas there. I had heard that the owner threw a very interesting party. The theme is, of course, red, white and gold. So, I had shopped and bought a pair of red heels and a sexy red and white Santa outfit. My hair I decided to just wear a wig after cornrowing it before going back. Fixing my face, I was stunned at the beauty I transformed into.

I looked like a seductress; slanted, wide, winged eyes, full lips and sharp jawline with half curled red hair. Placing the white hat on my head with a golden bell at the end, I exited the house, greeting the taxi driver while clutching the small bag containing all of my important documents.

Not long later, I arrived at the club. Once again, it was transformed, but not by much. At the entrance stood the two bouncers wearing white suits and a red hat.

I wanted to hold my stomach and laugh until I cried, but instead twitched my lips greeting the two.

"You think it is funny too Gooder?" one asked, his deep voice startling me. Both were built like professional footballers, standing at around six foot five, light-skinned, pretty-eyed with a voice like the bass of your favourite beat going boom-boom. "Nah, I think she finds us admirable." The other similar in looks but a much darker version spoke up. "Yes, you guys look admirable." I said to them both, smiling and continuing forward. I also missed their reply because the music inside was rather loud. My sole purpose tonight is to drink my sorrows away.

I am tired of feeling lonely, tired of feeling that something is missing and I can't figure out what it is.

"Bartender!" I shouted to get the nearest bartender's attention. He turned around and replied with a smile. "YO beautiful."

"Gimme a rum and coke."

"Sure, tonight we have a two for one special on the Black barrel shots; one for fifteen and get two." The man said with a smile. I nodded, anyway I have three hundred dollars to burn tonight, so whatever. Immediately, the bartender disappeared and reappeared with my drink. When he placed both glasses down, he spoke with a pretty smile, "On the house. I heard you work here. It's Christmas, my gift to you." Blinking I swallowed, freezing in my spot. He slapped the counter and swagger off, leaving me to stare at his back.

Reaching out, I downed a class in four gulps while picking up the next and turned to face the crowd. The club today was full, the dancers were dressed for the day and everything looked festive, only in an erotic way.

An hour passed; I was on my sixth shot. Already I had tipped the bartender a hundred dollars for his service, but already feeling tipsy I went into the crowd and began to dance. During that time, I felt hands on me as I moved my waist like a belly dancer. The hot breath of the man was not bad either, rather it had a minty scent that made me lean my head back to inhale him.

Reaching up one hand, I attempted to touch his head but realise that this guy seemed rather tall.

Anyway, we danced for a while before I slipped away with the excuse to go to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom, I looked at myself in the mirror, noting my slightly red eyes and sultry look.

Pulling out a small tube toothbrush and tooth paste I brushed my teeth and gargled my mouth, deciding that I should cut off myself from the alcohol.

Reapplying a coat of lipstick and dabbing my face, I quickly slipped from the bathroom.

Outside, I walked straight to the bar and ordered a coke with a twist of lime, pausing to look at... Lord gorgeous who graced my presence.

I think Santa was really nice, he even dropped a flesh and blood reach within reach.

So, for the first time in my life, I hit on a guy, "Hi, you seem bored." I said feeling my intro line was utterly lame.
