Chapter 1(Prolog)Book One-Chapter One

My name is Ché-Ryu Grace. I don't remember much about my life before becoming a vampire, but this is all that I can recall. As I was walking home the rain started, falling in fat steady drops, then I crossed the street. The next thing I knew headlights were glaring at me. I didn't have enough time to make it to the other side of the road. The car came closer and closer until just a few inches away from me it screeched to a stop. I fainted and toppled to the ground, my head, heavy as an eleven-pound bowling ball, hit the ground hard and I thought I heard a crack. The last thing I saw was the driver getting out and calling 911, and the last thing I heard was sirens blaring; then I let myself fall into unconsciousness.

Chapter 1

My(POV)

I awoke in a strange room.

Me: Where am I, what happened?

I observed the room and affirmed I was in a hospital with needles sticking into my arms. I tried to sit up and was hit with a wave of nausea. Judging by how many needles that were in my arms I decided it was because of the anesthesia. I laid back down and fell asleep.

When I woke again there was a man about my age standing at the foot of my bed. He looked about six feet tall.

Me: What the hell are you doing in here?

He looked amused and chuckled under his breath.

Him: I'm a doctor. I'm the one who saved your life by helping you recover from the trauma and head injury, with the help of lots of medicine of course, by the way, my name is Ethan Jameson.

Me(groggily): Oh, is your father the creator of Jameson Whiskey?

My head suddenly felt heavy again and I fell back into a deep slumber.

I woke up again and saw a person that looked just like me standing frozen with fear in the middle of the road. I immediately slammed on my breaks and the guy fainted. I called nine-one-one and looked at the person. He looked like he was just sleeping, you could tell he was not once you looked at the blood pooling from a wound in his head; he must have hit the ground pretty hard. The ambulance comes and takes him away.

I woke up for real and was still in the hospital. Ethan walked in

Ethan: You may go home.

He took out all of the needles. Then he put me in a wheelchair and wheeled me out of the hospital, but before I got up, he put a note in my side pocket of my backpack and whispered in my ear

Ethan: Here's my number."

I then got out of the wheelchair and started walking home. Then, I decided better of it and called a cab instead.

I got home safely, thankfully, and I went to my room and started thinking about the man I saw at the hospital. I pulled out the note with the phone number he gave me on the way out of the hospital and chucked it in the trashcan next to my dresser.

(Timeskip to Saturday)

That Saturday I had found some strait-leg, ripped jeans, a loose fitting, V-neck, black, T-shirt, a long-sleeve, red, plaid, flannel shirt, my red/white checkered vans, and a trucker cap. I left my long hair down and put on the cap.

I put on all my necklaces, rings, bracelets, and He/Him pin.

I went out to go grocery shopping.

I hopped on my Harley motorcycle and sped off down my long ass driveway. When I got into the city nearby, I drove to the H-E-B, and did my shopping. I went back outside to my motercycle, put my groceries in the side compartments, and sped off to Tatsu-ya Ramen. I went in and ordered Sho-Yu (Tonkotsu) with Naruto Maki fish cakes in it. I payed and went to sit down. As I was waiting for my ramen, I decided to scroll through tictok. Then I changed over to playing call of duty mobile. When my food arrived, I ate it and savored every bite. When I was done I got back on my Harley and sped off to a shoe shop. I needed some new vans my current ones were close to falling apart. When I got to the store, I parked my motorcycle and walked into the shop. I got a pair of vans in every color and kind that were in my size. I walked out of the store and put the shoes in the compartments of my Harley motorcycle. As I was getting on it though, someone grabbed me by my backpack and yanked me into an alleyway.

When we got into the allyway I got a good look at his face and realized it was Ethan. He looked enraged and looked at me with red eyes.

Ethan: Why didn't you call me? I gave you number and everything.

Me: I barely know you... and you expect me to call you? Dude you must be dreaming if you think I'm about to call someone I just met. What an actual dumbass.

If possible he got even more enraged. He lashed out and stared me down, directly into my eyes with his blood-red eyes. It felt like my body was moving on its own. I turned my head to the side. I fought it as much as I could. I guess my constitution was weak back then. He grabbed me by the back of my hair and bit into my neck savagly. I felt his canines elongate and peirce my skin. He started drinking my blood. I fought for as long as I could, but after couple minutes I was beginning to feel dizzy, and I tried to stop him but he was too powerfull. He drank until my vision started to fade and I felt myself falling into the black abyss of oblivion. Right before I slipped into unconsciousness, I felt him put his wrist up to my lips. It had a warm, thick liquid on it. Once the liquid got in my mouth I grabbed his wrist and bit hard around the cut he had made. I started to drink deeply the liquid was so good, it tasted like caramel and dark chocolate covered Strawberries. I kept drinking until he gently pulled my mouth off his wrist once I was full of his blood.

I woke up to my face on the cold pavement of a dimly lit allyway. I noticed my throat was extremely dry. It was sunset. I had been out cold for four hours.

Me: Ugh my head. I need to get home.

I go back to the shoe store. Luckily my Harley was still there. I get on it and speed off to my house. When I get home, I park in my garage and walk into my house through the door that joins the my house and garage. I get into my kitchen and put all my groceries away. Luckily all I got was canned food and shelf-stable Oat-milk.

I pour myself some Jameson whiskey on ice and start taking sips.

Me: Hm uhg, my head.

I pop three Ibuprofen into my mouth and swallow them with a swig of the whiskey in my hand. I rub my right temple. I finish my drink and decide to go lay down. First though, I need a bath. My clothes are covered in blood.

I get undressed and climb into my claw-foot tub. I pour a quarter cup of lavender/sandlewood scented Epsome Salt in the hot water and rest my head on one end. I relax and take deep breaths. I lower my head into the water and wet my hair. When I come out of the water, I grab my head and shoulders two in one and wash my hair. I grab my luffa and put some men's Old Spice body wash on it. I stand up and wash my body, cleaning all the blood off. I then drain the water, close the shower curtain, turn on the shower, and rinsey hair and body really well.

I get out of the shower, grab a towel, dry off, and go into my closet. I throw on some underwear and pajama pants, as well as a T-shirt. I climb into bed and fall fast asleep.
