13 CUSTOMIZATION, SENTIENCE

After the conquest of the dungeon - now guild base - every member of the guild had a heated discussion about how the base would be organized and what the 'background' of the guild would be. One of the greatest features of the game was the extension one could go in term of customization, including a sort of summary of the guild, NPC, and a guild that could, in this case, serve as a background story.

With a bit of in-game currency exchanged with real-life one the base itself was completely remade, where previously it was some sort of dungeon inside a mountain stretching from the deepest part of the ground to the highest point with some sort of realm now everything was remade to collaborate with the story the guild member came with.

The Divine Court was a guild where only people with positive karma were allowed to join. The core member and the guild master himself had some kind of divinity's name and some like Odin even went as far as to recreate spell, passive and equipment with the same name, abilities, and backstory that the original had. So it was decided that the Divine Court would be a sort of Kingdom for Celestial led by Odin, who officially got his title of All-Father, with his wife Frigg, and that they were all gods who on top of their original strength could get stronger through the worship of mortal.

Taking a bit of inspiration from Chinese Mythology.

The base itself was divided into three part, or 'The Three Realm' as they were now called. The middle one was named Midgard, it was where every person attempting to attack them would appear, is set in a large realm where there were mountains, forest, lake, ocean, and even a moon and sun, it was literally a world in itself. It was also where the NPCs created by Frigg, Odin and all the other member of the guild were, for the majority, stationed.

Below Midgard was Hel, the realm of the 'dead' which accepted the soul of the believer. ("At least that what is written in the background story of the guild base." Snorted Hercules at this point.) It was also where the items and weapons of the guild were, in an enormous bank named Gringotts cared by some goblins ("Frigg always had the weirdest naming sense." May or may not have been said by Odin). There was also the great hall of Valhalla and two other parts that were given to other guild members to customize on their own, which they still hadn't finished for the moment.

Then there was Asgard, the realm at the highest point of the mountain, but not quite as it was also a world inside a realm, but this one with golden structure everywhere, but everything was centered around the Golden Palace where Odin and all the other gods lived, it was also where the guild weapon was.

NPCs were then created throughout all the Three Realm with their own backstory and spells, but there was one this they all had in common.

The NPCs of Midgard were all human, with maybe some elves, dwarves, giant and wild animals.

The NPCs of Hel were for the majority undead and some were humans that were given a glorious backstory, for example, there was one human king that once conquered his whole country by unifying all the neighboring kingdoms under one empire led by his family.

And those of Asgard were for the majority, a mix of all the previously cited races but with a higher level and different backstory to show why they were worshiped and became gods.

From the outside the now dubbed 'Celestial Mountain' didn't really change except for the door which now was a bit more luxurious and ancient, one of the members of the guild who was an artist in the real world worked on it with some of his friends and they made frescoes and murals on it explaining the backstory of the guild. How it was created (but in a role-playing way), their exploits, their creations, who they were... A lot of things.

And then Odin put protective and detection runes on it, because while he did max out his Sword Saint-class, he did want some variety, and he chooses the Rune Master class, just like Frigg choose the Alchemist Class, which were some good supportive class.

Speaking of them, it was during this period of time that Odin learned a lot of interesting things about Frigg, like what her race was: a Phoenix that she apparently got with underhanded, as the game AI decided that she would be her favorite and by extension Odin too.

Somehow the system AI after having been connected by the gaming helmet to a large population of humans varying of different age, sex and thought achieved sentience, and that this sentient being was Gaea, their new guildmates, explaining how Frigg and Odin could be so lucky and how they found the dungeon that became their base.
