5 Progress and Decision

Lucien considered that world as the Crimson World, and the will governing it as All Existence. Because he felt that it was separate, but still connected. Just like how his world is connected to it's World Will.

He didn't hesitate to show off his prowess in walking, not that he decided to do so. Alice was very excited and all the maid were happy. Strange enough, Lucien hasn't seen Henry since his birth. He wrote it off, that the emperor didn't have time to butter up a baby, that probably wouldn't even remember this part of its life. He will probably start interacting with him years later, as even through Lucien is not his firstborn, the aura at birth piqued his interest in this son of his.

From what he understood, his mother was not the prime wife, but just a concubine. And Lucien was her only child. He had 2 elder brothers, both from the prime wife.

The first son was named Dorian BloodMoon, and was a genius. He was 9 years old and already a Rank 0 on the Water Path. So as to say he had the vitality of a minimum 5 commoners. The water path logically enhanced vitality, as water is life. Vitality, did improve lifespan a little bit, but nothing like 5 times the life of a commoner, it was more focused on regeneration. So in other words, he would heal 5 times the common speed. That didn't mean his other stats were much lower, he just had to use other means to get them higher.

As for the second son Vlad BloodMoon, he was just average. At 6 years of age, he hadn't shown anything special. Lucien wondered, if he was concealing a lot, or was just untalented, but didn't forget to duly note this average brother of his.

And Lucien was the third and youngest son of the emperor, not many knew much about him.The emperor faked his birth a couple of days after his actual birth, so that people don't know it was on the Day of the Blood Moon. Nobody found out about it, as he put some effort in the act. And for the first year he was raised in the inner palace, by a bunch of maids and his mother, so he hasn't really met anyone else.

Couple of days later, when the excitement died out, Lucien tried to wander off alone, some maids followed him, but with a couple of tricks, which should not be possible for a year old, he lost them. They would probably panic and look everywhere for him, but he didn't really care.

Wandering around, he found a room that had nobody inside. It was pretty spacious, and had a lot of books in it.

'So the library is not really guarded, huh.'

'Maybe it's just a facade and the real library is hidden.'

He picked up a book and saw the name written on it - History of the Empires -

It was a written copy, as printing didn't exist in this imperialistic times.

'I definitely need to read some books and find out more about my situation, but I doubt I have enough time for that, since I will be found anytime now.'

'If I could use my eyes, absorbing it and keeping it unconverted might be possible.'

'Hmm, eating paper would be too hard, and it would bring almost nothing, so I guess I just have to keep exploring.'

"Young lord, we finally found you, we were so worried something might have happened to you. Thank god."

It was the maids, running while sobbing. It seemed like the actions of Lucien brought them quite some trouble.

'Hmm their future seems pretty bleak, as I would continue doing this from now on.'

'But I don't really care, in the end everybody will get used to my behavior.'

As the days kept going on, Lucien started to show some ability to speak, nothing out of the ordinary. And the maids felt stressed out all the time, no matter what they did, Lucien would always slip away. They didn't realize that with half-adult stats and a small body, it was pretty easy to sneak away.

Lucien kept eating and absorbing anything he felt it was worth it. Small pebbles, his own toys, once he even found a gold coin on the ground. He just swallowed it all when nobody was looking and left the rest to All Existence.

Couple of months later he used 100 points to exchange for the -Child Breathing Method- which was just the next level of -Baby Breathing Method-. It capped at adult stats and was good for foundations. He decided to wait till he got adult stats to expand his actions, as unlocking the eyes was top priority.

Entering and exiting the Crimson World at will was very important to Lucien, but with the possible ability of absorbing books into it, was priceless for the current him, he couldn't read without letting others see him outside, and a baby reading is probably the best way to show the world his genius and get himself targeted, by some aunt or cousin that supports his first brother.

After unlocking them, he decided to to take his time to exchange for something worthwhile, while keeping still at adult stats. In his resting time he would read some books in the Crimson World and inform himself about what to pay attention once he goes out.

He really wanted to leave the palace and do his thing, as it would be on a completely different level of improvement speed, after all he can't absorb walls right now. Of course that wouldn't happen anytime soon, even if he somehow left, an army would probably be deployed to get him back, and it would rise quite a lot of suspicion, on the question of how an year old left the palace unnoticed.

And so another couple of years passed in his currently peaceful life, without many events happening around him, or at least he didn't hear gossips from the maids about them.
