The moment the voice of All Existence sounded out, Lucien turned his attention toward his inner body, were an unbelievable change was occurring.

The 18 dull red gates that were opened during the Vampire breakthroughs were changing their color to a brighter shade slowly, all the way until it shined in a color that seemed it could drip blood at any moment.

The moment he gained control over blood, his own seemed to change a little bit, as if it had a mind on it's own. The moment it awakened it shot towards the Vampire Particles that were roaming inside of Lucien as if it was the greatest tonic it could find.

If an average human Practitioner managed to comprehend this magnificent Path, this change wouldn't occur since there was no Vampire Path prior to the comprehension, but Lucien was different.

The moment his blood started absorbing the Vampire Particles it started mutating and changing, it was as if the two Paths were merging into something even greater.

Even through Lucien was a Rank 2 Vampire Count, the efficiency of his newly awakened blood was mind boggling, it took less than a minute to completely gobble all the Particles.

At this point of time Lucien was gaining back some of his confidence he used to have when he was the shadowy ruler of his previous world, he didn't fancy the idea of secluding himself for years and being completely helpless under the gaze those powerful beings, when the next elimination round came. He didn't even care about the other competitors at this point, his gaze was on their ancestors.

Lucien didn't even know if breaking through would be possible in the less than 9 years left on the countdown, as even asking All Existence would leave some uncertain factors like being disturbed by some event during his cultivation.

Lucien didn't stand up as even if it was not possible to breakthrough Rank 3, his main body was not required to practice, he could leave a clone and still try his chances.

Lucien had already bought the manual once and converted it back in a moment of need so he didn't have memory of the breakthrough diagrams and needed to buy it one more time.
