55 Beast Slayers

With the Emperor making arrangements, nobody dared to make a sound about a new soldier being added after the deadline, the next day Lucien walked in the camp of the Beast Slayers Temporary Army carrying a token from the Rank 4 General.

He went directly to the tent in the middle of the camp and entered it without caring about the glares from the guards, who couldn't to anything to obstruct him after seeing the token.

After walking in, there was a unique scent in the air, and a compromising scene along with it.

It was one of the Rank 3 Commanders judging by the uniform and a girl that could be his daughter, having a fun.

The man stopped after Lucien entered, and looked at him, while the girl blushed and looked ashamed.

"Don't worry about it commander, do your thing, I can wait a bit."

The commander was shocked, he didn't expect the matter to go in this directions, if this was reported to the General, he might be facing cruel punishments, he was sent here to lead an army by the direct orders of the Royal Family, and he was making it into a fun vacation.

Even after Lucien mentioned he didn't mind, the commander was not in the mood anymore.

"Leave us alone, I have to speak about some matters with this little friend."

After a quick clean up, Lucien and the commander were sitting opposite of each other.

"Now, do you mind telling me who you are and why do you carry the token of the General?"

"I'm Lucien. And I'm a hidden seed, the General has instructed me to join this battle."

Any hidden anger or grudges disappeared from the mind of the commander instantly.

The mention of hidden seed had that kind of effect. In the imperial army there was a special division that was hidden from the eyes of the commoners, it was a division where children with potential were taken.

Each year there would be hundreds of them entering it, they were orphans or children with special circumstances.

In that division, they would pass their childhood in training and killing. During the first year, 50% of the seedlings die in fights and skirmishes. The process goes on till the potential of a seedling is pushed to a level where in the future they would have no problem reaching peak Rank 3 in one stat. Some of the little monsters in that division leave with potential to reach Rank 4.

And currently, this young man in front the commander was a killing machine that had crawled up from that hell, he might be a bit weaker currently, but in the future he could be a peer of his, there was no need for bad blood over a minor matter that would have no consequences if both parties kept the secret.

"Okay then, what is you Rank and Path, I can't give you higher position that what

you qualify for, there are too many influences in this army, and you don't want to attract the attention in such a stupid way."

"Peak Rank 1 in Agility and Soul, I won't share the Path."

"It's good enough, you can have command over a squad, it's 5 people in each squad including the captain, since we are going to fight in the Myriad Beast Mountain, any more than that and it would be counter productive."

"Rank 2s command a unit, which is 100 squads, but it's more about general communication between squads, as the 500 people unit won't gather at any point."

"And we look over the general situation while communicating possible ambushes to the Rank 2 Unit Commanders."

"That is the gist of it, since you probably don't know many people in the camp, I'll assign you a capable squad."

"That is fine by me, just get someone to lead me to my quarters, I won't participate in the combat exercises, just send someone to inform me when we are setting off."

"It no problem, but you might have some trouble with the squad when you have to enter the mountain."

"Don't worry about it, it's going to be okay."

Once Lucien was in the tent provided, he didn't do anything suspicious for 2-3 days, he only meditated and used his Rank 2 perception to check if someone was sneaking or probing around.

'It seems fine. Now to tend to my garden.'

Lucien didn't send his body inside the Crimson World, but only his perception.

Inside there was a large piece of soil spread out. The Rank 2 Herb had released seeds once again and All Existence had extracted them before they were absorbed.

Lucien first condensed the 80 square meters of high level soil into 8 square meters of peak grade soil and separated all the soil in 1 square meter pieces, he didn't want them interfering with each other.8

After doing that he just send 8 Rank 0 Darkness Herbs to take root in the soil and sped up the time around them.

He just needed to pay the 100 existence points to use the Time Acceleration function, how he shaped or split the field was completely up to him, so he just made the field cover all Herbs, including the Rank 2.

After doing all that, he exited the Crimson World and let his perception return to the real world.

The whole action didn't take more than a couple of minutes, but it was still a risk, at his current boundary, Lucien couldn't split his perception, so his body in the real world was left unguarded when he entered the Crimson World with his perception.

At the same time he can't enter with his body while he is in the camp, he might expose himself, so it was a risk he decided to take.

'Over the next 3 months before setting off, I won't practice the Darkness Path, the increase I can get in Agility is minimal, and that is the biggest weak link right now.'

'I'll get the Manual and get to Rank 1 with the Lightning Path.'
