67 Ice Phoenix

They looked towards to where the sound came from and saw a phoenix whose feathers are crystalline blue ice and it eyes are emitting a huge killing intent that is capable making a cultivator shudder when they look at it in the eyes.

It's body was emitting a cold chilling aura and one can see that it's body was covered of blue haze making it more terrifying as they could feel its cold aura.

The huge bird made of Ice looked at the people and said in a cold tone: "How dare you mortal ants intrude this lords territory? Unforgivable!" It eyes was looking at them with disdained making the cultivators below grit their teeth as they shouted in indignation.

"You! You Ice Phoenix dares to attack the Union Empire making the great wall generals receive great sustained injuries!" Someone shouted from the crowd. As his words left his voice, many people added as they shouted at the Ice Phoenix in anger.

"Kill this Beast! Make it disappear in this world!"

"That's right! Kill this beast!"

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

Many people are shouting at the Ice Phoenix as they were truly angered. When they saw the disdain in its eyes, they were truly angered as they felt that this Ice Phoenix is too boastful at its strength.

The Ice Phoenix only snorted coldly as it flap its wings. When she flap her wings, the winds move as it shifted in circle creating a tornado beside it.

The Ice Phoenix didn't stop flapping its wings until the tornado has formed and it reach its same as her height. Eight terrifying tornado had appeared making the cultivators mouth agape.

The Ice Phoenix looked at the cultivators below and harrumphed in disdained as it points it wings towards them.

"Shaaaa!"

With a shrill cry, the Ice Phoenix flap it wings towards them and the tornado suddenly moved, approaching them at fast speed.

Seeing the tornado approaching, they was startled as they ready their weapons.

"Brothers and sisters! Ready for a fight!"

Different kinds of light surrounded their bodies as they saw the approaching tornado.

Vaun on the other hand was looking at the phoenix with mouths agape.

When he heard its voice, he know that it was a woman who is similar to someone he knows even its features are similar to what he is thinking right now.

'This... Isn't this one of the champions in League of Legends? Anivia the Cryophoenix?'

He was flabbergasted when he saw the Ice Phoenix that he needs to defeat.

Anivia was one of the champions in League of Legends that he used to play back in earth. Anivia specialized in crowd control (Stun, Slow etc.) who uses Ice as it specialty.

When he looked again closely, he saw that there was a little difference between the one in front of him.

'Its head doesn't have that red thingy or red gem I think. But its body is pretty similar to Anivia.'

"Is that the Ice Phoenix of the Absolute North?" Vaun asked the old man beside him.

"It is. Base on the aura its releasing, I think it is at the middle stages of Martial Dominator, one of the peak existences in our world."

"Peak existences? Aren't the Martial God stage are the highest peak?" asked Vaun.

The Old man only smile as he looked at Vaun for a moment. His eyes has a luster of gold when he look at Vaun.

Vaun was nervous when he saw the eyes of the old man as he step back a bit: "Old man... You... Your eyes..." before he could finish what he wants to say, the lustrous gold color in the old mans eyes suddenly vanished as he said: "Young Vaun. Just what are you?"

He paused for a moment and looked at Vaun in the eye as he seriously said: "I don't see the chains around you that shackled everyone, stopping them from going further in their cultivation." He looked at Vaun seriously and sighed as he ready his weapon and floated to the front to help the other cultivators.

Vaun was shocked at what he just heard.

Shackles? What does this old man mean?

When Vaun was about to say something, he suddenly heard his system.

When Vaun heard his system he was flabbergasted at what just happened.

'This... Just like that and I already found a clue? And the Eyes of All-Seeing must be something good to but it will be based in my strength to see their stats I think.' thought Vaun.

Vaun carefully think for about a moment. If he instantly finish his mission he will be given a exp points of 16800 and +5000 in REB but the Ice Concept can be ignored because he already learned it.

He about to walk when the ground suddenly shake.

Rumble!

The ground started to shake uncontrollably making the cultivators below lose their standing, making them fall down.

As they was about to stand up, a cold chilling wind suddenly permeated in the air making the cultivators shake nonstop.

"Wha... What is happening? Wh... Why... Why is it so cold?" Someone suddenly said making the people realize that something was really wrong.

They looked towards the Ice Phoenix and saw its wings was flapping towards them as it release cold qi from its body making them shudder.

"Shit! Its that beast doing it!"

"Kill i... So cold~!"

"Shit! So freezing~!"

They were all shuddering nonstop as they gritted their teeth. No matter how much they circulate their qi in their body, the cold can still fierce through them making them freeze.

"All of you take a step back."

Suddenly a deep voice came from the back and an old man emerge with a domineering aura.

His hands behind his back as he floated up in the air as he was already in front of the Ice Phoenix. He looked at it in the eye as he release his killing intent.

"Ice Phoenix. Why did you attack the city walls of our Union Empire?" The old man was looking at the Ice Phoenix with killing intent as he calmly said.

"Hmph! Mere human. Your people use to come here in our lands to practice the concept of wind and water because of the Ice. I welcome them properly but what did they do? When they know that the beast in this lands has a concept core that adapts to nature, they started slaughtering the beast in this place because of their cores." The Ice Phoenix snorted coldly and anger can be feel in its voice.

It was truly angered when the word "beast" was described in its speech.

The Ice Phoenix suddenly flapped its wings towards the old man and a gust of cold wind suddenly appeared making the cultivators fly away.

Whoosh!

The Ice Phoenix points her wings up in the air and all of them fly up while spinning into a circle, creating a huge force of wind, making the cultivators sick.

"This... Argh... I... Blergh!!"

Some cultivators vomit in the air, creating a nauseous stench.

Looking up, they saw them vomiting in the air as they shuddered when they saw what they vomit.

Different kinds of slimy substance are falling down making them shout and shriek at the same time.

They move away from the tornado as they want to get away from the cultivators who are vomiting in the air while others are using some kind of treasure to deflect the slimy substance.

"Shaaaa!!!!"

The Ice Phoenix release a high pitch cry as they clutched their ears because of the loud noise.

They look up and saw the Ice Phoenix body have hundred icicles floating around her.

She flapped her wings as she targets the cultivators below and all off the icicles around her has suddenly move towards them at fast speed.

"Watch out everyone!"

The old man shouted as he circulate his qi and punch towards the incoming icicles.

Boom!

Explosion occurs as the old man's qi and the Ice Phoenix met straight on, making the air heavy.

However even though the old man has successfully block the incoming icicles towards him, the other cultivators couldn't as it was manifest by a Martial Dominator expert.

Those who possess treasure couldn't block the icicle as they only gotten hurt while others who doesn't have any treasures in their body has met their demise.

Freezing blood permeated in the air as it suddenly turn into bloodbath.

Corpses of cultivators are standing because they were straightly stab in their bodies creating a horrifying scene.

Vaun was shocked as he saw the attack of the Ice Phoenix. He cannot help but swallow a mouthful of saliva as he squinted his eyes and looking at the Ice Phoenix's direction seriously.

'If I were to take that attack straight into my body, it will hurt like hell.'

Vaun was thinking about what he should do so he didn't dare to make a move first as he was comprehending her weakness.

He was only looking closely at the phoenix when he suddenly saw a familiar petite body whose arms are dislocated.

Her hair disheveled, and her clothes are torn, showing her white skin. Her body has a smell of stench of blood as her legs was staggering because of the pressure.

His lips quivered as he remember this petite figure: "Li... Lin Chen?"

Even though his voice is not loud, many people still hear what he said.

The petite figure whose arms are dislocated, look back showing her despair eyes. But when she saw the one who called her, she force herself to smile resplendently as her lips was trying to say something.

Vaun was biting his lips as he saw her worst condition. He looked down to where she is standing and saw that she was shielding someone.

He saw four girls in their tattered clothes and their bodies are battered because of the pressure.

His eyes wide open as his eyes starting to turn red bloodshot eyes when he the four bodies who are between life and death.

These four are Fei Fei, Valeria, Shi Mei, and Reberta.

Fei Fei's right arm had been stab by a small icicle that was form when the huge icicles explodes. While the three are fine as the had only fainted and spat out blood because of the pressure they are facing.

When he saw the five of them in their worst condition, Vaun's calm self suddenly vanished and was replaced by anger and grief.

The five of them were kind to him as he thinks of them as his older sister.

Even though it was only for 5 days worth that they enjoy, he already accept them as his older sisters.

He suddenly remember his grandmothers saying in his head.

"No matter what happens. You must always be calm in any adversary in any time, any place and don't be engulfed by your inner demons just because of negative emotions."

He always carries the words of his grandmother when she died and that was one of the things that are supporting him.

He closed his eyes as he clenched his fist trying to calm himself down.

Breathing out the hot air. His open his eyes as it return to jet black eyes with luster.

The Ice Phoenix already notice Vaun's bloodshot eyes as she was waiting for him to attack her. But she was surprised when she saw Vaun calming himself down faster than anyone.

"Interesting. A human who is capable of controlling his emotion through any adversaries. You pique my interest." The Ice Phoenix laugh coldly as she unleash another attack.

"Absolute Corroding Icicles!"

The Ice Phoenix release a low pitch cry as hundreds of icicles manifest in the air and suddenly move towards Lin Chen, Fei Fei, Valeria, Reberta, and Shi Mei. The Icicles are releasing an aura of negative energy making it more scary. The blue crystalline ice change into violet when the hundreds ice manifest.

The old man was wearing a heavy face as he grit his when he saw the five woman that was between life an death. His eyes were bloodshot as he stare at the Ice Phoenix.

"Not good! Its Corroding Ice! Everyone get out of there right now!" The old man shouted urgently. He dashed towards to where the five was but suddenly, a wall made of Ice suddenly appear in front of him, stopping him from advancing forward.

The old man look up and saw the phoenix high above the air snickering at him.

The Ice Phoenix look at the old man and said in a deep voice: "Don't you dare interfere to what I'm always going to do old man."

"Even though that you are at the peak early stages of martial dominator, you are still not my opponent." The Ice Phoenix look at the old man with killing intent making the old man sweat profusely. She flapped his wings again and hundred blue icicles form around her.

"Hundred Icicles!"

She flapped her wings and all of the icicles move towards the old man.

The old man was stun when he saw the icicles moving towards him.

"Not good!"

The old man flick his sleeves and suddenly, a gray pot with crane etching suddenly came out and a paper appear in the air and suddenly vanish.

The gray pot created a faint white light, shielding the old man.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The shield was getting bombed by the icicles but it was not even scratch in the least.

"Oho."

The ice phoenix looked at the old man and said coldly: "To think that you carry an object talisman to place that huge cauldron in it..."

She paused for a moment then looked at the old man eyes and said lightly: "You old man must be old demon Yan Zhangjian."

The old man didn't refute what the Ice Phoenix had said and said deeply: "Looks like many people still know me that even beast know me too."

The Ice Phoenix laugh out loud as she said in disdain: "You, a mortal that wants to ascend was strike by the heavens wrath because of your greed in cultivation."

He paused for a moment then looked at the cauldron. His eyes starting to turn blurry and different kinds of emotion can be seen in his eyes when he looked at the gray cauldron.

He rubbing the gray cauldron and looked at the Ice Phoenix calmly: "But I think you didn't know that our world, cannot exceed in cultivation any further."

Yan Zhangjian raises his right arm and hundred talismans floating above the air.

He squinted his eyes and clutched his hands making crackling sounds then all of the paper talisman that are floating around the air suddenly exploded.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Explosion can be heard throughout the Absolute North because of the paper talisman, exploding in succession.

The Ice Phoenix was looking at the smoke and saw hundreds of swords floating around the old man.

The Ice Phoenix was shock and she hurriedly circulate her qi to block the old man's attack.

Yan Zhangjian squinted his eyes as the hundred swords tremble, releasing a terrifying cold blooded aura.

"Soaring Sword Technique: Hundred Sword Strike!"

All of the blades suddenly move towards the Ice Phoenix whose been encircled by a faint blue light.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Ice Phoenix's shield was being bombarded by the hundred swords that is floating around the old man.

"Shaaaa!"

The Ice Phoenix release a high pitch cry. She waved her wings and the faint blue light that was surrounding her, shot back, deflecting the hundred swords and knock backing Yan Zhangjian.

Blergh!

The old man spat a mouthful of blood because of the huge force that the Ice Phoenix release when deflecting his hundred swords.

Yan Zhangjian was trembling as he spat another mouthful of blood: "Haa... Haa... You... You... Why did you hurt a woman who was in here a few days ago." He was looking at the Ice Phoenix with anger in his eyes.

His hand was clutching tightly, his nail digging into his skin and blood flow out from it.

"Woman?" The Ice Phoenix don't know what he is saying so she asked: "What woman?"

Yan Zhangjian looked at her and anger was burning in his eyes more than before: "Don't play dumb. I know you attack a woman whose clothes are the same of those five whom you were about to kill."

The Ice Phoenix didn't know what he is saying but she suddenly remember something.

"Ah... The woman whom I attack with the Absolute Ice Toxin and plant a little bit of aphrodisiac nectar in her body? That woman whose clothes are just like of those five?" The five that she was saying, was Fei Fei, Lin Chen, Shi Mei, Valeria, and Reberta.

Yan Zhangjian eyes suddenly flashed and said in anger: "You beast dare to use such sick attacks unto my disciple. I will kill y... Bah!" Before he could finish what he is saying, a heavy pressure suddenly appear pressuring him.

He looked up and saw the Ice Phoenix looking at him with red dark eyes filled with killing intent.

"Yan Zhangjian. You don't have the rights to say that to me." The Ice Phoenix flapped its wings and hundreds of icicles forming in the air.

The icicles above the air are turning into violet color and its aura it turning more sinister.

"Absolute Corroding Icicles!"

With a high pitch cry, the Ice Phoenix flapped its wings towards Yan Zhangjian and all of the violet icicles goes towards him.

Yan Zhangjian resigned himself to death. He close his eyes as he secretly circulate his qi to prepare something.

The Ice Phoenix looked at Yan Zhangjian in disdained: "Yan Zhangjian the once man prodigy has now become a history."

"Die!"

The Icicles was about to reach Yan Zhangjian when suddenly, a huge flame pillar appear behind Yan Zhangjian.

"Extreme Nova!"

The flame pillar suddenly whipped down at the Ice Phoenix, turning the hundred violet icicles into dust.

Seeing the flame pillar going down on her, she circulate her qi in panic to create a shield around her but didn't make it in time as the flame pillar approach faster than she expected.

Bam!

The Ice Phoenix was smashed into the ground.

She release a high pitch cry and said in a hoarse voice: "Who are you?! You dare sneak attack this lord here? Come out!" She was shouting at the top of her lungs because she was truly angered to death.

She didn't thought that someone was still capable of hurting her even though it was a sneak attack, she was already a Martial Dominator in middle stage so a sneak attack should even scratch her but she was lightly injured now.

Who is it? Is it another Martial Dominator expert?

She was about to fly up in the air when she saw a silhouette, standing above her.

She was shocked when she saw this figure in the air: "You... Your that..."

Before she could finish what she was about to say, the silhouette above her spoke.

"So your the one that did that to miss Diana."

Yan Zhangjian whose eyes are closed suddenly open when he heard the word Diana.

He looked up and saw a silhouette above the air.

"You... Your..." He was tongue tied as he didn't thought that the one who can save him will be him.

The silhouette look towards the direction of the old man and a figure suddenly appeared to where the silhouette is standing.

His eyes contains profound light and faint white wings in his back. He was handsome to called perfect and his dress are white.

The man in white dress looked at the old man and nodded.

Seeing the white man in dress, he heave a sigh of relief and said to himself: "Looks like I'm not wrong."

He looked up again and saw the man's eyes emitting a killing intent more terrifying than the Ice Phoenix.

Yan Zhangjian's face was calm as he said that only he can hear: "Someone who is not ignorant and willing to save lives."

"Young man Vaun cannot be shackled by the laws of our world."
