Sometimes, life was full of surprises. No one could really ever predict the future regardless of how one perceived the past. Things just happened – it was fated, and so they said.

It was that one bright day in summer when he descended. The years had been peaceful for a while since the last Immortal War. His brother's and the other deities' descendants, the ruling monarchs of the land were able to succeed and put Czernobog's minions back into the depths of hell where they belonged.

It had been a long time since he had come to Ged to visit his children, and so they commented. Although for Perun, the past century was nothing more than a blink of the eye.  His offspring with Fanya, the twins who had chosen to be mortals grew into adulthood, found their mates and had their own children and grandchildren.

And as for all mortals, the end had come at last…
