3 Way to Get a Nerd

Adrien wouldn't let me out of his sight and unfortunately, we were in the same grade and had the same classes. He sat by me every class considering he was my only friend. If he wants to get my attention by being possessive then he needs to think again.

It was lunch time and I was able to escape Adrien since he had to stay after class. Sucks for him! I got in line and and got a tray. Then I sat at an empty table by my self. My loneliness was short lived as someone set down their tray across from me. It was a guy, he looked kinda emo or something but mostly cool. His hair was deep black almost blue and his eyes we bright electric blue which brought out more color in his hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a black t shirt. Great what brought him over. You know I really need to get some friends that are girls. Help me sort out all this boy stuff.

I have him a quick look then went back to eating my food. Adrien then walked into the cafeteria and looked for someone. Probably me. I guessed right and he smiled and told me to wait with his hands and lip reading. Then he saw New Guy next to me and pouted. He turned away on his heel and stomped to the line.

I looked at New Guy. So he's a quit one. He sat there intently eating his food. He looked up and saw me stating at him. He smirked. "Gonna tell me your name, princess?" He asked. Princess? How did I get that pet name? I pointed my fork at him. "Well for one, my name is not Princess. It's Lyra. And are you gonna tell me yours, Blue?" He chuckled. "Its Liam, Princess." I didn't like that pet name but it sounded so sexy coming out of his mouth. No. No what am I doing, I can't have a crush on two guys. Wait no Adrien is not my crush either. What am I thinking ? Must be lack of sleep. "Shut up, Blue." He only grinned more and returned to eating.

Adrien walked over eyeing Liam warily then sat next to me. Why does he keep embarrassing me? But the funny thing is, I found his jealousy and caring charm cute. And quite hilarious. I had to suck my lips in to keep from laughing at his puffed out chest. So childish. I only looked down at my food so he couldn't see that I found him amusing.

He sat down and huffed. Then he looked at Liam and said, "Hello Liam. What are you doing sitting here?" So they knew each other. Interesting. Very interesting indeed. Liam only continued eating and said, "For your information Adrien, I thought Princess here," he pointed at me with his spoon full of cheesecake, " was lonely. So I wanted to be a gentleman and welcome our newcomer warmly. " Adrien only grunted.

I couldn't help it and I snorted. They both looked at me. "What?" I asked. "Can a woman not find something humorous? " Adrien looked at me questionably. "And what do you find something so comical?" I'm how do I put this, your jealousy, the fire between you guys, how both of you have taken a sudden liking to me, and almost everything else about this situation. I thought to myself. Instead I just said, " Um, you knowing each other? " They looked at each other.

Liam responded this time. "What do you mean? Everybody knows everybody in this school. Unless your new of course, but your name eventually gets whispered in everyone's ear within the next day. Practically almost everyone knows you by now. You the new hot topic." He said the last part with a wink. For some reason I found that comment was about my looks. Such perverts I hang out with.

"Well I'm glad I won't be a stranger." I said sarcastically. I looked at my watch. Lunch was almost over and I had the perfect exit plan. I decided to use a line from my math teacher. It's kinda stupid but he said if you want to get a nerd then you could try saying it. Problem was I didn't know if they would find it funny or cute.

I grabbed my tray but didn't stand. I looked at each of them and asked, "Do you like water?" They looked baffled at the sudden strange question. They both responded yes. I got up and then said, "Well then you already like 60% of me." I winked and then walked away. The bell rang as soon as I dumped my tray. Perfect timing.
