Chapter 2: Sound of the Ocean

Alicia's POV:

My eyes fluttered open due to the bright lights. I opened my eyes because of the sun gleaming brightly. Within an instant, I sat up straight but I hit something,

someone's head?

I turn to see my best friend, Saeko Sukimo, red mark on her forehead where I head butted her and an slightly grumpy look on her face. "Uh.. hi" I said, "that hurt, you know?" She pouted, "sorry" I replied "you will be" she said with an creepy aura surrounding her, I flinched a little in fear. "Anyways... so what happened?" I asked

"easy, you passed out after seeing the school on fire, Troy caught you, lied you down and went off somewhere"Saeko said, "oh ok. Wait WHAT?!" I yelled and apparently everyone heard me, people were giving me weird looks while a groups of people a bit older than me just snickered at me."what's wrong? Don't you like falling for guys?" She yelled

"No I don't, especially not him" I replied, "didn't u like him?" She teased.

"Key word: did" I said

"you did what?" I heard someone say behind me, it was him, Troy Dramon, "GAAAH!!" I screamed "I see your feeling better" he said with a smirk "oh yeah I guess so, than-"

Before I could finish my sentence, I heard those guys who were snickering earlier. I stood up, walked up to them, "what's so funny?" I said in an irritated mood. "Oh nothing. Just how much fun it is to watch you and your friends act like total idiots" a girl said, "give her a break, she's the one who passed out just by looking at the fire" a guy said in a sarcastic tone.

"Oh your her"  the girl said, "so what?" I asked " your such a weirdo" she said. I was so ready to punch her in the head but before I could, I felt a hand tugging at my arm, I turned too see Troy holding me back, shaking his head "don't" he whispered "fine" I replied.

We walked back to Saeko, "that would've been fun to watch" she said "whatever" I said bluntly. Suddenly, I started to hear the sounds of the ocean again like I did right before I passed out but this time, the sound was rough, waves crashing with such force, my ears started ringing, causing a splitting headache. Troy and Saeko seemed to notice this,

"Are you ok?" They both asked in a worried tone " oh nothing, don't worry" I said, trying to hide the pain.

"All students come here please" a teacher yelled.

All students were gathered in a large space, all of which are oddly quiet but I don't know why.

A teacher stood up in front of the crowd and cleared their throat. "Students, I'm afraid that the school, along with around half of the city is now in ruins due to the large fire that occurred, no one knows how it was caused but we do know that many have died, mainly those living in the eastern side of the city and anyone in the southern area is unfortunately, most likely dead" they said, a hint of sadness in their voice.

Saeko nudged me, "don't you and your family live in the south of the city?" She said. As soon as she finished talking, I felt like time stopped, I was freaking out, all I had was in that house, all my memories of when my parents were alive and now it's gone...

Tears poured out of my eyes, I checked my phone to see if I can find out if my neighbourhood was in the fire. Finding a small news clip, I watched intently trying to spot my house and I finally saw my house.... in ruins and ashes. I dropped my phone, tears coming out of my eyes, dampening my clothes, the stress and sadness consuming me. My friends tried to cheer me up but all I did was cry, eventually they went off to find someone to help me.

All I did was continue crying my eyes out but then I noticed something..odd.

Water was coming out of the ground and... floating

The water soon turned into a sphere made up of something that was nothing like water but more like some sort of spacial energy, soon the sphere was growing larger and larger, consuming my body. All I could see now was purple energy swirling around me. I felt my hair grow way longer, my clothes change from my school uniform to a light purple and dark blue dress and all I could hear....

was the ocean.

Soon I realised that the sphere grew huge and then, it just bursted, making a devastating sound, Destroying anything close to me, teachers, students, the ground but not me, I was perfectly fine just standing there.

I closed my eyes until the sound disappeared. Moments later, the sound was gone so I opened my eyes, all I could see was the ground either cracked or completely destroyed, I was standing in a crater that was left behind, no one was near me, that energy just killed around 500 people in an instant.

All I did was scream as loud as I could, hoping someone would hear me. My throat started to hurt so all I did now was just stand there, waiting.
