Alicia Lisa

It is 12 August 2019. A very bright day with the wind blowing through the windows, playing with curtains. The sort of weather which is famous for picnics. Alicia is standing in a kitchen, staring outside at the birds playing with water in the pot, she is planning to go and ask Brian for a picnic. After a while, she decided to rush into her room and scream "Baby! I wanna go picnic." Alicia then did what she was thinking, she rushed into a room, where a tall, handsome and smoking hot man is lying on the bed, busy staring at his laptop's screen. He is covered with a blanket, and his eyes are locked on the screen, it seems like he is stuck somewhere. Alicia jumped in the bed and said, "Baby! Let's go picnic."

But he is not a bit bothered by her, actually, he totally ignored her. Alicia in the hope to convince him said, "The weather is amazing, not very cold and not very hot, I have prepared your favourite cookies and I can quickly prepare some sandwiches and we are ready to go." Still, he is not bothered by her because he is not paying any attention to her. But, after a while, his expression is changing; it looks like he is bothered by Alicia's constant talking. He is getting disturbed by her. Alicia noted his expression and left the room, in hope that he might come and talk to her. Her hope turned into reality but he didn't come to talk to her but to yell at her for ruining his work by constantly disturbing him. He then left in agony. Alicia is stunned, because all the time she was in the room, he was not doing anything but staring at the screen. She is angry prepares sandwiches and started having a picnic at home by herself. She then, clean the house and went for a bath. Tired and exhausted Alicia decided to lie down in her room. She entered a huge white room, with beige-coloured furniture and she jumped on a bed with yellow and white bedsheets tucked inside. She then pulled a white comforter over her and stretched her arm to pick up the book on her side table, placed along her wedding portrait. While reading her book, she starts feeling bad for Brian and calls him, but he didn't pick up. After a while, she again calls him and he didn't pick up she started continuously calling him but he didn't answer any of them.

She then, calls his friend and luckily, he picks up the phone. Alicia asked about Brian and he said he is with boys at Fred's home. Alicia decided to call her best friend and tell her everything. She called Marie.

"Hy, honey. How are you?" Alicia asked.

"I am all good, but what about you?" Marie greeted.

"I am good and at home, bored to my death.'" Alicia replied in a lousy tone.

"You should have called earlier, I went out to enjoy the day, I would have picked you up," Marie said in a Weak tone.

"I thought that I and Brian will go out and enjoy," Alicia emphasized.

"Yeah, right. As if he cares." Marie's tone is harsh now.

"He is just busy. Otherwise, we would have gone out." Alicia tried to cover for her husband.

"If you have known him since high school, so do I. He always does this and tells me where is he now. At some bar, I guess. Marie started fuming.

"No, he is at his friend's." Alicia's voice was weak and hard to hear and understand.

"I can bet, he is at some random bar, drinking his ass off. Why do you tolerate his nonsense and why not leave him." Marie is getting harsher.

"I will not leave him, I love him and I am telling you, he is not at the bar." Alicia burst out in anger and cut the call.

She started crying and without realizing it, she fell asleep."

Later at night, her eyes felt open due to some strange sound. She runs outside to check but, it is just her Neighbour. She picks her phone and saw calls and messages from Marie, then she opened their chat, there is a picture of Brian at a bar, with some lady and as she scrolled down there is a video of Marie showing the date and time, herself and Brian at a bar. Alicia felt pain in her chest and run to the kitchen to grab a glass of water, she then looked at the clock hanging on a white wall, it is 6:50 am. She went to the bathroom to take a long bath for relaxing. She came out and it is 7:15 am, and she brews herself coffee while sipping coffee, she realized there is no sign of Brian yet and he hasn't answered her calls or messages. After 15 minutes, someone knocked on the door, and she rushed to the door because she is expecting Brian but instead it is Marie with doughnuts in her hand.

"Sorry for last night, I brought you some of your favourite treats." Marie leans in and hugs Alicia.

"You know, I can't be mad at you. Every time. Alicia weakly smiled.

"Come in! Is mister back?" Marie asked while pulling the chair off the dining table.

"No, but have some sandwiches. I made them last night." Alicia handed out Marie a sandwich.

"We have to be a little quick, I have to be on time today, otherwise I will be fired." Marie grasp and took a big bite of the sandwich.

"It's your own company, why will you be fired?" Alicia innocently asked.

"My mother is in town, and she still believes that 20$ has helped me build my empire and if I am not serious, she will give it to my younger sister." Marie laughed.

"Well, then hurry up." Alicia laughed back.

"Okay, I am gonna go. Just tell me you are fine so I can be on my way." Marie hugged Alicia.

"Yes, I am." Alicia chuckled.

Both went toward the door and Alicia is waving to Marie as she is trying to hop in her car with heels. Then, suddenly Brian's car parked nearby. Alicia looked at Marie in shock and Marie stared at Brian. "He is a mess" Marie mouthed to Alicia.

"Hello, mister and goodbye." Marie waved at Brian.

Brian awkwardly waved her back and entered the house. He didn't even look at Alicia, he just went into the bathroom. Alicia is disgusted by Brian at this moment because he smells like an 18-year drunk brat. She tried to enter the bedroom but, it is locked from the inside. He quickly changed his clothes and picked up the sandwich on the table and left the house. Alicia kept trying to talk to him but he ignored her like she didn't exist at all.

Many days passed by without any communication between Alicia and Brian. Alicia tried her best to talk or to start a conversation but, Brian didn't respond to her. After a while, she also started to stop bothering me. Until 20 May, the day he got the promotion.

"It is 20 May, today and I am being sluggish for like a month. It's like 5 days till our anniversary and I have no clue about what I am going to do and what will I wear." Alisia is on a call with Marie while she is cleaning the kitchen.

"We will sort things out, I will plan the party but I don't understand, you told me that you have brought thousands of clothes last week; how come you don't order a dress for the anniversary," Marie asked in shock.

"I said, I liked about thousands of dresses, then I summarized and finalised the 3 dresses to order, but Brian cancelled my order. I tried to reorder but they went out of stock." Alisia explained.

"Why did he cancel your order? You were going to pay by yourself? Right!" Marie's head is spinning as Alisia talks.

"YES, I was going to pay by myself and I tried to talk to him and ask him, but you know that he is not talking to me." Alisia tried to calm Marie.

"Ok, I will come tomorrow and we will go shopping, don't worry. Your husband is a jerk, not me." Marie threw tantrum.

"Okay, bye." Alicia smiled.

Alicia started preparing lunch and thought of having lunch with some movies. She prepared pasta and headed toward her room. She opened her laptop and find out that Brian's Gmail is opened. She couldn't help but notice the top of the list, the "Congratulation" email. It is recent but already red, she opened the email and the mail is from the company, stating that Brian got promoted and now is "Head of sales representative." Alisia's excitement is uncontrollable after reading the mail, she knew that Brain is working hard lately for this promotion and she decided to surprise him. She heads towards the market to grab vegetables and chicken for dinner and to buy some drinks and decoration stuff. She quickly came back home and get busy decorating the lounge area. Her house is already decorated because Alisia is a fashion enthusiast but still, she decorated everything. She prepared his favourite Roasted almond chicken with white rice. After settling down everything, she enters her room.

"God, I should have gone shopping instead," Alicia tells herself while standing in front of a mirror.

"All of my dresses are either stained, either torn or either too loose." She stares at her closet in shock.

While looking through her closet, she found only one dress, capable to wear and it is her wedding dress. It is a long, white, simple embroidered dress with net petals at the end. It is not usually bridal wear but Alicia is a minimalist person, she loves to wear simple clothes and just want thing to be simple. She put on her dress and looked in the mirror, "I am gorgeous, am I not?" She laughed.

Looking at herself in her dress, bring her tons of memories back of how she and Brian felt in love, How she waited for him to purpose for like 2 years, while they were dating and how he fought with her on their damn wedding day in front of her parents. Alicia is shocked not because she had been through all these things but because of the fact, that these are all the memories that come to her mind when she put on an outfit. She is confused about whether she wears this or not when she heard Brian's car parked in the garage. She hurriedly went into the living room and saw Brian standing there, looking at everything. What took Alisia's feet above the ground is the girl standing next to Brian, holding his arm and also staring at everything.

"Laura! What are doing here?" Alisia gathered the strength to say words.

"What the hell are you doing? And why you are in your wedding gown?" Brian asked Alisia in confusion but she ignored him. Alicia run up to Brian and Laura standing at the entrance and she took Laura's hand off Brian's arm.

"What is wrong with you?" Brian screamed at Alisia and shook her shoulders. Alisia's eyes turned red with all the pain and anger she is experiencing right now. She looked in his eyes and his eyes were normal, with no redness, no pain, nothing.

Alisia understands the whole situation but is afraid to admit what she saw. She asked Brian, "What is she doing here?" and Brian said, "I want to end this marriage, it's over between us." His words threw a shiver down her sprain, he tried to reach for Alisia's hand but she back off and looked at Laura who is smiling at her. "What do you expect me to do, say it was nice and now bye! Love." Alicia screamed her lungs out and she couldn't help but slapped Laura hard on the face and said, "You deserve this kind of man" then she looked at Brian who is fuming with anger and smiled and said, "and you deserve her kind of woman."

"I understand that you are angry but how dare you to raise your hand on my lady love." Brian is furious staring at Alicia.

"Lady love?" Alicia laughed loudly.

"Get out, Alicia." Brian grab Alicia's hand and pushed her out of the door."

"Don't kick her out, now. It's late." Laura said in tricked voice.

"I don't want to look at you for more than a second," Alicia screamed and go inside her room.

Alicia quickly picked out her suitcases and threw all her stuff in the bag. Brian and Laura are sitting in the hall. Alicia pulled her bags outside and looked at Brian with teary eyes and said, "Congratulations on your promotion." and " Bye, Love!" and left.
