1 Chapter 1 The Voice

A shy girl was singing to herself softly. I was walking down the sidewalk one day when I heard this beautiful singing voice. I looked around to find out where this was coming from.

Sadly, I couldn't find this angelic voice. I stayed for a few minutes in trance wondering where it was coming from.

"Earth to Jack. Are you in there."

I was suddenly awoken.

"yeah, yeah, I'm here."

Caspian was looking at me as if I had seen my life flashing before my eyes.

"What? I'm fine."

"Ok, whatever you say."

I rolled my eyes and continued walking my way to school.

At my locker,

"alright I'm done with my Korean, now I need my French."

I swiftly traded books with my locker. I was looking at the interior design, when my eyes suddenly caught the attention of a little note. I looked at it questionongly.

"Hey Jack, do you want to come over after school today?"

I was startled by his appearance.

"yeah, I'll come." I replied to his question.

"ok, cool."

When Caspian started walking, I quickly grabbed the note. I walked on.

"You know Jack? You've been acting strange today."

"Really? you don't say."

I sarcastically replied to his comment.

I was continuing on my way to class. I was still in a trance. when suddenly I bumped into this girl. her papers went flying. I hurried to help her get the papers. I looked up while studying her face. she has long white blond hair. she was wearing glasses. had a long sleeve white shirt on. she has pink lipstick blue eyes with pink cheeks.

"I'm sorry, I didn't see where I was going."

"You're fine, I was in the one in a trance" I was saying to her apology.

"Are you ok?" I asked her.

"Yes yes. I'm fine." I slightly nodded my head.

"ok well I better going."

she as well nodded her head. we parted our ways.

"Well both daydreams a lot. There's only one thing I have to say about this, cute couple. I smacked the back of his head. he laughed.

"I'm kidding."

I simply glared at him while failing. I broke into a smile.

"you know it's true." I laughed at his comment.

"Comon Caspian, let's go."

he nodded his head in agreement.

In French class, I opened up the note when the teacher wasn't looking. it shouldn't have been too hard, since I was in the back. I studied out all the little wrinkles. I placed my finger on the feminine-looking handwriting. I sat there wondering who it was from, what the person could have looked like

"who could it have been?"

I decided to go ahead and read it.

"meet me at the park at 5:00."

"yep, I'm totally going."

I replied to the note.

when I heard the last bell, I swiftly got up. I grabbed my things and dashed to the hallway.

"Hey Jack, so about coming over today?"

"oh about that. What time did you want me to come over?"

"Around 4."

"oh yeah I can make it

what?"

"I mean, I can come."

"okay, I mean if you can't come over today, that's fine.

"no no no, I can come."

"Okay"

I dashed home, ate food, and headed out the door.

"Oh wait a minute"

I ran up the stairs. I swiftly turned the knob. I went over to my drawer to grab some self-defense stuff.

"you know, do I really need this? I mean it's just the park, what could go wrong?"

I laid it back in my drawer. I headed out my bedroom door. I stood there for a few minutes.

"no I need it."

I heardly went back inside my room. I went over to my drawer.

I grabbed the self-defense stuff. I went back out the room. I heardly ran down the stairs. while running down the stairs, my pants leg came in contact with the slick stair and slid underneath my foot.

"oh no"

Oh no indeed, my face came in contact with the bottom stair.

"Jack, are you all right?"

my mom came running over to me. she heard my cry.

"now I know that we have stairs."

I replied to her. she laughed at my comment.

"Here's a Band-Aid. Don't forget medicine."

"Thanks Eomma."

she nodded while smiling at me. I hurriedly got up and went out the door.

"Oh wait jack come and be back by 6:00" I smiled and nodded at her.

I was running.

"no wait a minute"

I sloppily stopped in my tracks, went back inside and grabbed my phone. I siged in releiph. I went back outside running. while running I looked back at my phone

"it's 3:20, it's me about 30 minutes to get to Caspian's house. so that leaves me with an hour with him and an hour at the park, no wait I forgot about time to go back. It's alright, I'll just run all the way there. I'll also leave a few minutes early."

I finally got to Caspian's door. I weakly raised my finger to ring the doorbell, while being so out of breath. Caspian came while he saw me panting.

"wow jack I never knew you to be the exsecising type."

he laughed. when I finally found the air to speak, I said

" oh, you know"

"haha, you need some water, comon."

I nodded my head and hurriedly came inside, to drink the refreshing aqua.

"I'm never ever running a 30 minute walk ever again."

"Is that a promise" he interrogated me.

"Definently not" I swiftly replied.

"haha comon let's go do something fun."

"ok, but it can only be something of an hour." he looked at me questioningly at me.

I noticed his strange look.

"Are you Spider-Man or something?" I glared at him.

"No Caspian. I just have to be somewhere."

he gave me a whatever-you-say look. then I noticed him giving me a oh so you are going to meet a girl look.

"I am going to smack that smirk off your face"

"I'm waiting" he said while still smirking.

"comon we only have an hour." I said.

"whatever you say romeo."

"okay benvolio." I told him.

"so what do you want to do." I asked him.

"VIDEO GAMES!!" Caspian yelled out like a little kid.

"No let's do a bored game." I said.

he pouted

"video games." remembering that I only had an hour

"fine let's do video games."

"YAY!!"

Caspian jumped up and ran to his bedroom.

An hour had passed. I looked on my phone.

"Caspian I have to go."

"Kay bye."

I left while watching him with his eyes glued on the tv. I rolled my eyes and left.

I ran to the park. when I only got five minutes away from the park, I stopped gasping for air.

When I finally caught my breath, I started walking normal.

While walking, I looked up at the sky. I close my eyes and breathed in the fresh, wonderful air that suddenly hit my face.

All of a sudden, I heard that same sweet singing voice.

my eyes widened.
