4 The Address?
"Alice wake up. Wake up, please..." The voice speaking was John. When he ran away with his sister he found a place to hide in the slums. Alice had fainted during the time he carried her here.
"NO!" suddenly she shouted and started breathing heavily, "W..where's mom?" she clearly had still not accepted what happened.
"She..." John hated himself for doing this but he had to tell her what happened right? "I'm sure she's in a better place..."
NO! No no no no no." she just couldn't accept it, "No..." she fell into tears. John tried his best to comfort her, but what could he do.
"Alice...I know you'd hate to but we have to keep moving! We can find out what we want from the man in this address." John couldn't help but sigh, truth be told he wasn't fairing any better, but he knew that now was no time for tears.
"Ok," Alice said, her eyes had lost all signs of life.
"Ok, now the address is..." he was going to look At the address that was written on the piece of paper, but unfortunately it was smeared with blood, "SHIT!" he couldn't help but curse, "Damn it! Now how are we going to get there!"
"Give it to me let me see." Alice took a look, "Ok good, it's not a lost cause." well at least her brain was still working.
"What do you mean?"John couldn't help but ask.
" The first and last letters, as well as the, house number are still visible."
"So?".
"From mom's tone, it seems she needed us to get to this guy's address fast, meaning he lives somewhere close, and I doubt that he lives in a different area, otherwise before we got there they might have already found him or her narrowing it down even more.
"Ok?" clearly he still hadn't caught on.
"Meaning that we can narrow down places to search with streets that start and end with these two letters."
"But it'll still be quite a lot of places to go through."
"That's true but do you have a better clue, this isn't a novel where everything ends happily." Alice was weird as usual. "Now we just need to find out if the address was located in our side of the city or here."
