3 Mix up

"Mom?" both of her kids said at the same time.

"Hmm. I and Mira used to work for an agency known as L.I.C!" Kaitlyn decided to let them in on what was happening. "I know you have a lot of questions but first let's get back to the car."

"Mom, what's going on?" John said after a deep breath.

"Damn it! Those bastards." after she'd calmed down she said, "I and my sister Mira used to work for an organization called Lost in Creation or L.I.C for short. We were scientists, studying this new element that one of our members found. This element was named Crystal 07 or what we would like to call Aura." Kaitlyn gradually started explaining to them.

"Aura, as in those magical elements from light novels?" Alice was baffled 'Aura? Aura my ass it's not like I'm a story character or anything, right?'

"Yes except this is a little different, this element or substance that we found doesn't run out it always replenishes its self. So we tried to incorporate it into our human technology using it as a sort of fuel."

"So it's not like some magic thing that can be incorporated into humans. Thank God!" Alice said. Her imagination was really one of a kind.

"That's what I'd like to tell you and what we thought as well. Since human experiments were band we couldn't really test that. That is until the military got involved..."

"Wait what the hell is going on, it's almost as if we are characters in a recycled story."

"If your correct then going by the book after the military got involved they had countless trails and error but eventually they succeeded." John caught on quickly.

"Yes, and we were meant to be killed after we succeeded, but a secret organization saved me and Mira at the last moment all the other scientists were killed by the time they got there."

"Then..." Alice wanted to ask something but then suddenly.

CRASH...

A car had run into the drivers' side of their car. causing them to have shock and severe injuries, "DAMN IT!" Kaitlyn shouted in pain, she just happened to be at the driver's side. "Alice, by your side of the door there's a piece of paper with an address written on, go to the address with your brother."

"Bu..." Alice was confused she still hadn't processed what just happened.

"NOW! John takes you..r si-ster and fucking run!"

Before Alice knew what happened she was being carried away by her brother. Though they were both severely injured it was nothing compared to the kind of pain their mom was going through, and John didn't forget to grab the piece of paper with the address on it.

A few moments later someone entered the passenger seat of the car that the siblings were just in, "Are you proud of yourself Kaitlyn. Don't worry it won't be long now? I wonder what kind of expression she'll have when she finds out."

He kept talking and talking but not a single reply was heard.

She was dead, right?
