He is currently at the Hogwarts kitchen, surrounded by an army of House-elf.

A little creature that as been enslave for centuries, they are fiercely loyal to their master, happy to serve and once they die, it's an honor to put their heads on the wall...

Alexander has a theory about them. It's quite simple in fact. Fear.

The house-elf is a powerful magical creature, they can easily defeat a full-grown wizard. That's probably why out of fear and jealousy the olds wizards enslave them wanted to be at the top of the food chain.

Now people just ignore them, but they are quite threatening... Most of the magical protection used on Hogwarts or a pure-blood family don't apply for them. Otherwise, Dobby couldn't enter so easily at Hogwarts... So if you just want to kill someone, send a House-elf do the job, but no, people disdain them.

Now, why Alexander is in the kitchen, he gets to focus for his new spell and didn't see the time pass. hungry he had no choice, along the way he meet Mrs. Norris.

They have quite the relationship... The cat blackmails the human. At first, he gives him some good food, she takes it. the 2sc, 3rd, but the fourth time she didn't want the food and start making noise to attract Filch. So now, every week he has to change the food. He could just dodge her, but this cat his very smart and always find him, every night for the past month!

So, his new spell that takes all his mind. It's the [Unsupported Flight], what's this? It's the ability to fly without assistance. Voldemort and his goons do all the time.

Now how it's work? the principle is the same that Wandless magic. Brooms, flying cars are magical tools that draw magic just like a spell. So what happen you don't use them? It's the Unsupported Flight. To do this magic, you need to be very powerful and also very bold, because if you fail your dead...

Why the smoke around the body? Alexander still didn't figure it out. A leak of magic? Protection? To make it cool?

Alexander likes to fly, without broom of course but he can't always turn in a Dragon just for flying although he doesn't mind.
