1 The Call of Valhalla (Ridiculous Start)

I was but an ordinary teenager when I was transported into Valhalla (or what probably others would say "I was Isekai'd into valhalla"), but.. it was a mistake of a summoning and I was just a side along.

Thor Odinson, the god of thunder (like an older version of thor in the comics) called for capable warriors to aid them in battle against the demons who was invading valhalla (I thought at first that I was called in to help the avengers or something like that, which excited me to no end but... I was wrong...) he mistakenly summoned me along with the others and not wanting to waste resources he didn't transported me back and just promise that at the end of the war we will be able to return.

The problem is how to survive this war? I look at the men and women he gathered and they all look well equip in weapons and physical prowess, the 12 heroes summoned by Thor was granted powers but me there was nothing only an above average amount of mana said the Magician of the Army...so I was thrown into the sideline as a logistic support or a glorified water boy for short.

I can't really blame them, I was scrawny and weak, I can't even lift one of their axes so I was stuck fending off for myself but...I didn't give up.

I wanted to return alive so day after day I trained little by little, copying the training regime that I saw during the nordic warriors' training session and gradually build up my strength and my skills with the dagger, all was going well for me until...our camp was attack by a horde of demon.

We were force to run away and get separated, the heroes was able to escape with Thor but I was left behind with just a dagger and the things I had in the satchel.

I run to the forest near our camp and manage to escape the demons but...now I was lost...Lost in a forest that even Thor did not dare to wander, The forest of Death. It was a savage land full of monsters of varying sizes and I was lost in it.

It's a few day since then and I only manage to survive with the foods that I have stockpiled in the magic satchel that I manage to get as a Water boy. The magic Satchel was in simple terms an infinite storage that can hold infinitely anything without any added weight and incase of food, not spoiled, so I capitalized on that and gathered any extra food from the camp and slowly stockpile them in the satchel next was the extra blades and arrows that thankfully the blacksmith of the army wholeheartedly gave me, he even offered me a book in blacksmithing.

Next was the books in magic and runes that I gathered for doing chores and helping out from the army's Runesmith, extra clothes and mead lots and lots of mead.

I manage to survive a few months into the forest without encountering any huge monsters that I cannot trap but alas...it seems like my luck run out the next few months as I was accidentally stung in the gut by a human size scorpion, it was a miscalculation in my part as the scorpion shell was hard enough to be invulnerable to normal arrows although I manage to escape narrowly but still I was dying from the poison.

I manage to escape back to my base of operation this past few months, it was a hole in the side of a giant tree that I carved myself, laying down in my makeshift bed I grimace as I saw a giant fist size hole with laces of green in my stomach, I used extra my clothes to cover the open wound but alas I was slowly losing consciousness and the next thing I know was darkness.

*****

I don't how many days past but I was stirred awake by a purring sound, I slowly opened my eyes and I stumbled upon a huge Panther like creature with three claw marks near its eyes licking my wounds.

The panther was terrifying because it was easily large enough to be a huge Liger but instead of being fat this one was full of streamlined muscle for hunting.

The Panther look at me and notice I was awake and run out of my home, I thought that I scared it away but it came back with a flower clumsily balance in its mouth with the nectar.

It offered the flower to me but I hesitated so the panther growls at me, not wanting to earn it's ire once more, I hurriedly grab the flower and stared at it, I gave the panther a questioning look and it just look at me and the flower.

I think the panther want me to drink the nectar so I did but still it was still looking at me seriously, the panther then did a silly movement where it first did a biting motion and followed by a gulping motion then look back at me.

The panther...wanted me to eat the flower? it nodded so I did just that. I then notice that the green laces of blood vain in my stomach was disappearing and the wounds was closing.

I look at the panther next but it was long gone. I manage to stand up from where I was lying and peak out of the hole searching for the panther-like creature but it was long gone so I offered a thanks of my own which I learned from the vikings when getting help from mystical creatures by getting a blade and searing it with fire and mark an insignia of a black panther in my chest, which I don't know where I get the design from but although it hurt, I clenched my teeth and continued.

*****

Three years after my initial encounter with the Panther, I manage to adjust to my new life but at the same time I lost all hope of returning home.

I manage to confirm over the past year that I was still in the edge of the forest although the edge do stretch for a pretty huge stretch of land (although it did explain why the monsters was very weak) and I manage to get back to the camp and It was a wreak, the foods were already rotten and the weapons were quite common.

Checking the blacksmith house I found it was quite in good condition so I stock every blacksmithing tool there and store them in my satchel including books, the Dargon fire (the glorified name for the unquenchable fire use by blacksmiths) and a load of uru metal.

I search every corner of the camp and I manage to hit the jackpot in the Runesmith's tent, books a lot of books and high grade Rune smithing tools, I stored them all and head back to my base.

I wanted to return to the others as a little part of me hopes that I could still go back home but...I don't know where they are now and I might risk encountering the demons along the way and at least in my base I was able to survive and navigate my way through the forest (It's not as if they needed me there anyways and I will be able to go home when they finally defeat the demon king.)

A few years past and I started to notice I wasn't aging anymore and my wounds healed fast like that of wolverine, I connected it to the flower the mystical panther gave me and also by this point I was just content to live my life in the forest and resign my fate that I wasn't going back.

10 years past and my ability to hunt improve along with my physical prowess, I learned everything from the runes and blacksmithing.

another 5 years and I notice that my ability to heal has also surpassed that of deadpool and I manage to create my very own weapon, a gun but more precisely a rifle, its not just an ordinary gun as it do not require ammunition and does a lot of damage.

Thanks to the runes and Transmutation, I manage to create this gun-like weapon that look like a short modified Ar-15 and it has two forms, first is the rail gun form which I "borrowed" the design from a certain manga that I used to read, it also has a magazine in which anything put there will be Transmuted into the proper Ammo needed, from bullets that latch into the body that act like a taser to high caliber bullets that can punch a hole to an armored giant rhino(it eats a lot of my mana) and lastly the sniper form which has a range double that of an ordinary rifle, thanks to the runes the viking use in their telescope.

The hunting became much easier thanks to the rifle and...for some point it also reminds me of home, where I came from.

50 years past and I move to the inner parts of the forest and encountered new monsters much larger and fiercer compared to the edge.

Remembering how I survive all those years, I started searching for the panther that help me back then hoping that I can find it in the inner parts.

My search lasted a couple of years and finally I found the panther with three claw marks but...it was dying, it recognizes me and offered me some sort of smile as it lick my trembling hands.

There was a huge bite mark on it's neck and the panther couldn't help but whimper at the pain, the panther bit the sleeves of my hand and drag it towards its belly.

I feel a faint thumping... the panther ...was pregnant...I look at the panther and realize what she wanted me to do, the panther then use the last of her strength to scratch three claw mark in my hands although it draws blood but the pain was bearable.

The Panther died and I feel sad for a bit but as I feel the faint thumping sound of a cub...I grab my blade and freed the cub from her belly....

"You save my life back then so it's my time to repay you..."

I buried the mother there and brought the cub with me, thankfully I had stockpiled a lot of cow milk (don't ask me how) which shall be enough to feed her till the cub can eat solid food.

I look at the cub and thought of a certain character from a comics a read years ago.

"Bast...your name will be Bast after the Panther god."

Years past since my encounter with the panther and I notice my senses improving, it was much sharper than before and my body seems to be much more flexible even my running speed as well as my kinesthetic sense allow me to traverse the forest much better.

The cub grew to resemble a proper panther cub in the next 5 years but...she stop growing after that..Years after Years once again past and the cub didn't grew even an inch...maybe it's because of her unique physiology? anyway I live my life a couple more hundred years in the forest and finally decided to leave.

I traverse the forest of death for a thousand years (which I didn't even care anymore) encountering deadly Monsters after another some even tower over the mountains...and others was so ridiculous that I don't even know how to explain them ....but...finally..I was able to reach the end.... the end...only for a cheering vikings to greet me as I accidentally stumbled upon the final battle just as Thor and the heroes manage to slay the Demon king...I was only able to mutter a single line before a white light covered me and teleported me away.

"What the fuck!!"

*****

When I came to, I realize that I was still not home as I saw myself in the front lines of what seems to be the....world war 2...

"What the fuck!" I shouted as I saw a woman that kinda looks like Gal Gadot with sword and shield at hand rushing to the front lines, deflecting bullets using her bracelets.

"WHAT THE FUCK WONDER WOMAN!?" after that a bullet then hit me in the head.
