2 The Mercenary Guild

Alex entered the Mercenary Guild, and went directly to the counter. The Mercenary Guild is like the Adventurer Guild, a faction which gives people different types of quest. In the Mercenary Guild you can find quests about protecting the city from monsters, merchants to travel from city to city or even alchemists looking for herbs in the forest, etc. Whereas in the Adventurer Guild, you can find quest about monster hunting, dungeon conquering, saving towns from monsters, etc. On the other hand Alex in the Mercenary Guild is there for bounty hunting. Bounty hunting is one of the most ludicrous quest in the Mercenary Guild, but also the most difficult one since you're going against experts in killing.

As Alex walked to the counter, the people around looked at him attentively. Even though it's his first day in Boro's capital city, people still recognize him as one of the most popular mercenary. He's so famous that whenever he enters a new city, all the criminal go to hiding until he leaves.

"Hello Alex, how can I help you today ?" said the receptionist as she saw Alex coming in. She was a bit intimidated by Alex. He, as one of the most famous mercenary, is the one most feared. She looked at him intensively as she was wearing a cute outfit made exactly for the mercenary's staff like a maid. She wasn't really tall, around 1.60m but had a strong physique.

"I will need to see the bounty list and I have taken care of 3 person that I suppose are also in the bounty list." Said Alex calmly

As she heard Alex, she was surprised at what he said since very few are able to take care of that many bounty, but also not surprised as he was a living legend. Then she took the list of bounty and instructed him about the three people he talked about.

"Here is the list, I will let you look for it, if you need a drink you can let me know, my name is Lucie. As for the 3 person, I will need the ID of those person as well as their belongings."

Alex then handed a new rings to the Lucie took the bounty list and went to a table to look for the bounty. Actually, he wasn't really interested in picking which one he will take care of since he already knew that, what he needed more is the information about the people he will hunt down to find clues about their whereabouts. He sat down took out a sheet of paper and a pen and started writing useful information about the hunted. As he kept writing information, Lucie came to his table and sat on the other side of the table. Alex seeing this stopped writing and looked at her, waiting for her approval.

"I have examined the ID, and they were on the list. Yoan Brian was a worth 500 Gold, Meagan Lorens on the other hand wasn't worth anything yet since we couldn't determine his strength, but from the belongings you gave us he should be around the same as Yoan Brian." She said without smiling but with a monotonous pitch.

" And for the last one ?" Asked Alex without caring in the slightest about the other two.

"The last one is Ans Tanika, a renowned thief, he isn't worth much, just 100 Gold since he didn't kill." After saying this, she smiled graciously to Alex and handed him a new ring with the Gold. Alex then looked at her as he thought 'she's quite cute isn't she'. Alex then looked at her from head to toe. She was wearing her cute outfit which showed her beautiful curves, as well as her muscles, she had green eyes, pinkish cheek, small ears, long brown hair that fell on her shoulder. Alex after checking her out, which she didn't miss in the slightest asked her.

"If that isn't too much I would like a beer please Lucie."

She looked at him a put up a beautiful smile as she nodded to him, and then she left leaving Alex to continue his work. 'Alright so, I got 7 fish for now, that's 2 murderer, 3 rapist, a thief and a lost human. I guess that's gonna take me a week to take care of. A bit long but still, the pay is pretty nice uh, 3550 Gold.'

After 30 minutes of writing down details and looking at the map of the city, Alex put down his paper in his second ring, took his beer and chugged it down. He then looked at the time on his magical phone which showed 21:39 and went back to the counter. Once Lucie saw Alex walking toward her, she grew anxious. The young man was a living legend, and he was as handsome as his legends were amazing and she thought 'he did check me out right, I do have my chance with him right ? Oh my, he's coming. Smile, just smile.'

"Welcome back Alex."

"uhm, I will take all the bounty on and I would also like to know where the Adventurer Guild is, if you could show me."

"Sure, I'm done with my shift for today, if you want, I can take you to the Adventurer Guild myself." She said with the best smile she could give him.

Alex on the other hand just looked at her back with a stoic face and said with a happy tone.

"If you can show me around then that would but great !"

After that, the two left the Mercenary Guild and headed toward the Adventurer Guild.

While walking, Lucie kept on looking to her left to see if Alex was doing something, but as per his usual, he was looking at his new eggs he got earlier, at exactly 4 of them, which were his new babies for now, he was way more interested in those than he was in Lucie.

'Uggh, and I thought he might be interested in me.'

'Except the Red Wolf which cost me too much, I got a cheap Gold Wolf, which could become later on a good Gold Wolf King, and two extremely cheap Demon Wolf, eheheh.'

Wanting to break the ice, Lucie said a bit disappointed.

"The Adventurer Guild is not far from here."

"Great !"

"Um, if you're free one night, how about a dinner with me ?" She asked praying to God that he would say yes.

"Well sure."

Alex and Lucie then arrived in front of the Adventurer Guild, but before he could enter, his phone began to ring, and after answering he heard a voice from what look like a pro mercenary.

"Sorry to bother you Sir Alex, this is from the Government, we would like to take a bit of your time to ask a request from you !" said the voice.
