1 Preface

The God Byeong-Ho created Earth, the humans within it, and the animals alongside them. He taught humans how to adapt to their newfound life, and after them came the animals. Humans were creatures of many traits and skills. Some were honest and strived for goodness and fairness while others craved wickedness. Despite this, they weren't particularly hard to teach. They were almost relatable. Animals, on the other hand, were all of pure heart. They had no ill intentions. They strived for pleasure and survival. That was something Byeong-Ho admired.

The day Byeong-Ho met Hyeon was the first day of the first Spring. Hyeon was a female wolf with white fur and blue eyes. Her paws were the size of a human's head and her tail was the length of a human itself. The way her fur shone like the brightest gem he had ever laid eyes on captivated Byeong-Ho. The innocence and strength behind her gaze intrigued him.

Hyeon had heard of Byeong-Ho through whispers of the forest. From what she heard, he was the God who created them. Seeing him in person that day changed something within her. She felt her heart stir just at the sight of him.

Byeong-Ho took Hyeon to live with him among the divine in that moment. No words, no actions, just by intuition he knew it was love at first sight.

The god and the she wolf spent many summers together until one day Byeong-Ho noticed that even in Heaven's light Hyeon's fur was dull. Her once vibrant blue eyes were now lifeless. She remained seated at his feet growing thinner by the evening despite her appetite. Byeong-Ho's dear Hyeon was dying before his eyes without ever having a chance to even live a life. Byeong-Ho felt despaire and guilt course through him as he wondered many things. Was Hyeong no longer in love with him? How long had she been in this state before he realised it? And more importantly, what could he do to bring his Hyeon happiness again.

This is how Wonhan was created. Despite being in the middle of cultivating Earth and all who resided within it, Byeong-Ho created this new dimension for Hyeong. He learned that Hyeong desired to be within nature alongside beautiful plants and tall broad trees where she could run through endless valleys grass with no gates nor walls to hold her back. She wished to be free despite her eternal love for Byeong-Ho. So, Byeong-Ho placed his wife in a lush vibrant garden on a mountain overlooking all of Wonhan, and then blessed her with their child who he named Whan-Wook. He told the young wolf that this was her kingdom to rule and their son to raise, but that he would always stand behind them protecting them and their kingdom. Hyeon was so overjoyed she thanked him endless times for his kindness and understanding. She questioned whether their son would grow to be a wolf or a man, and Byeong-Ho claimed their son would be both God and Animal. That she herself would lead others of this race as well as her children after her.

As Hyeon ruled over her kingdom, her love for nature filled her entire being. She was the most caring, devout ruler you could imagine. Her love for Wonhan and the creatures in it grew almost as much as that for her son Whan-Wook whom she cherished the most.

5000 years later, Hyeon passed away to be with Byeong-Ho once more having lived a full and happy life. Her son was left to rule the great Kingdom of Wonhan, and though many would assume that with a mother as kind and dependable as Hyeon that Whan-wook too would be just as honorable. He was anything but. The son of Byeong-Ho and Hyeon grew to be a vain man only interested in his on self-interests. Instead of ruling his kingdom justly, he ruled over them in a self-serving manner treating them all as his slaves. Believing that they were his toys to play with and control for his own gain and entertainment.

As Heyeon watched her son destroy the Kingdom that she had painstakingly cultivated and loved, she couldn't help but weep. Her heart was shattered, and Byeong-Ho watched as his wife slowly withered once more. After 4000 years of Whan-Wook ruling Wonhan ruthlessly, Hyeon only laid at Byeong-Ho's feet. her once glistening white fur now shone a dark and gloomy red from the tears of blood that she shed endlessly.

Byeong-Ho could only comfort his wife up until now with consideration of their love for their one and only son. The man that him and Hyeon had created and raised in pure love. But as he watched his wife shed her last tear and her eyes finally close from utter exhaustion, Byeong-Ho felt fury burn within him towards the Son he loved so much. He could not simply kill him for he was of his own essence and of Hyeon's pure undying love. So instead, he casted darkness throughout the forests and placed his son to rule within them declaring that he deserved to be in a place as dark as his own soul. He looked at his now almost lifeless wife, and he took the divine energy from his own essence and created two new souls within two serpents' bodies. He placed the pureness of his wife's soul inside of their newly made hearts and declared them as Wonhan's new rulers. He named them Soon-Bok, an enchidna, and Myung Dae, a zhuyin. And he sent them down with the promise that within the next 10,000 years he would bless them with a gift that would rebalance their newly divided world of light and dark. This is the story of how the Kingdoms of Jeongsu and Heosdoen reached perfect harmony once more after being divided. This is the story of the beautiful enchidna Kwung-soon and the ruthless werewolf Myung-Suck.
