12 People From The Past

Akane was kinda sceptical when she saw Jin Kwang upon just entering a cafe. It was no denying that it's is him because even if it's been years, she still remembers the face of her playmate when they were kids and friends when they grew up.

Shocked on stumbling upon someone who knew her closely, Akane almost run back out. Then the man whom she came to meet waves from the table opposite from Jin Kwang and she got herself to walk there without giving out that she's actually nervous for the first time after so many years. She hasn't felt this nervous even on her first night as assassin. Maybe because Jin Kwang is one of the few people who actually knew her for who she was decade ago and not just fawn over her like the other people did.

Mr. Lim and Akane talk in hush words for a long time until they both deem the deal is good enough for them.

"So the deal is done," Mr. Lim smirks and rank his eyes over Akane's body, "How about playing with me for a bit?" he says as he licks his lips.

"The deal is done yes," Akane nods her head nonchalantly as she took the papers off the table and put it into her shoulder bag. "But it seems that I have someone unexpected to meet so I cant play with you right now."

Mr. Lim looks like he wanted to argue but Akane gave him a look and he sighs, stood up from his seat and walks away from the cafe.

Akane sat still, sipping her ice coffee for some minutes before the man she's waiting for sat in opposite to her where Mr. Lim sat seventeen minutes ago.

"Hey," Jin Kwang smiles at her hesitantly but when Akane smiled back softly his smile got wider. Then Akane cut him off what he was about to say.

"You got car? let's talk while driving." Akane says while standing up on her feet and started walking out of the cafe without waiting for the other to respond. Jin Kwang was just behind her, following her fast steps.

Jin Kwang.... he was one of the few people who had been there for her during her childhood days, being a friend, a brother, the one who looked after her when her mother went to parties leaving her in the Kim resident, which was almost every day and night. He was one of people she cared about, she still does.

"How have you been?" Akane asks, picking on the lose treads on the thorn jeans.

"Been fine, I'm more worried about where were you all these years." Jin Kwang gave her a pointed look and she burst out laughing.

"They wanted me gone, even mama." Akane says with a awkward smile, "I survived. The world had been cruel but I'm doing good now." she honestly replies 'cause if she's not honest with her Kwanggie than she's fake and she's anything but that.

Jin Kwang parts his lips to says something but Akane beat him to it,

"I was in a dark place where a person's life was treated like a gamble so no, I couldn't reach out to you. I was there for a decade, I got out but wasn't in the condition to contact anyone. By the time I got myself out of that mess I didn't wanted to. I was good as dead, my grave was there to prove it and it was not like as if anyone was waiting. You didn't know, so even if you wanted to help you couldn't have."

Jin Kwang looks devastatingly sad and heartbroken at her statement, even though he kept silently driving it was obvious he was trying to comprehend, trying to figure out where she actually had been and he could only think about the nasty things when his mind went over the dark place Akane mentioned.

"Who?" Jin Kwang questioned, his eyes hard as he went over different scenario in his mind, imagining what the girl he considers as a sister had went through. He knows that the women knows who is the one who wronged her exactly. "I know you know who exactly."

"This doesn't suits you." Akane comments, glancing at the seriousness settled on the olders' face.

Jin Kwang sighs, his grip on the steering wheel tightening before he drove the car to right to the side. He lean back on his seat and stares at the roof of his car for minutes in anger and Akane sat there, looking out the window, watching the cars passing by them on the road, waiting, giving the silent space the older need to calm down.
