8 Her

His mother was acting paranoid for months now, ever since they came back from their shopping trip to Dubai. His mother won't even tell him what happened during the trip to make her act this worried. Only his father know, not even his sister know, who also went to the trip too. His mother had been telling them to tighten the security and always go out with guards.

It wasn't a month later that gave him a slightest clue on what's making his mom this paranoid.

One summer evening, his personal lawyer came with with a report which make him stun.

'Someone has shift the ownership of the estate in downtown Seoul which was in his late half sister's name and they never managed to trace it's documents and the lawyer who managed the late Kim's personal favourite possessions.'

He doesn't even know just how much Mr.Kim has in his name but it was beyond his imagination. Some said he could be claim as the most richest man in Asia and one of the few billionaire in the world. Mr. Kim has business everywhere and his father only managed to get his hands on few of them. Mostly on business is Korea and Japan but other then that, his father ever got to even know about other business overseas.

"Who is the lawyer managing all this?" He ask, curious and a little angry that the person is taking what was suppose to be his half sister's property. Angry, because even if they were kids and was never close with each other, he cared and the older girl was always there for him in the back, like a shadow, ready to catch him if he ever falls.

"Min Ho shi, it's the late young lady Kim's uncle, her father's cousin Kim Kyun Bam, a minister in Daegu."

'After all these years, what is he trying to do now' he wondered before calling up his secretary into his office and growling at the poor man to quickly connect a call to Kyun Bam.

The call didn't went well, the old man Kim told him that he gave the ownership to the person who has the right to have it.

Min Ho couldn't think straight and with only one possibility in mind, he head to the Park resident.

The maids open the door for him, they greeted him but he wasn't in the mood to be polite or sweet and greet them back like he usually did. He found his mother in the sitting room discussing something in hush voice with his younger sister and his oldest daughter.

"Leave, i need to talk to mom." Min Ho said sternly, but he's never this serious so

"Oppa, just a minute." Seul Mi comments

"Appa please, we're talking right now." Eun Yoon whines and it hit his nerves.

He named his daughter after his half sister because he thought the child has the same eyes as her, but now the name brings him pain and guilt. Even if he himself did nothing, he was aware of his father's greediness and his mother's ignorance when it comes to his half sister.

"Eun Yoon, should I repeat myself?" Min Ho hissed, "I said leave. Seul Mi, you too. I need to talk to mother." he gave a look which made them comply without more complaints.

His mother just patted the sofa next to hers, but Min Ho stood still where he is and stares at his mother.

"Eun Yoon is alive," He says and watch on a his mother looks at him in confusion.

"Of course she is, you just ordered her to go." His mother says, smiling in confusion.

"I mean noona Yoon." Min Ho said and saw his mother's expression go wide in panicked, "Is this the reason why you're so paranoid?" he questioned, hating himself for raising his voice at his own mother. But he couldn't help the un-invitable.

"Was she the one you saw in Dubai?!" he asked, because it was possible. She must have done something wrong to his half sister to be so frighten after meeting her.

"No!" his mother cries, "I didn't do anything wrong, don't look at me like that!" she pleaded, "All I ever did was for you, I did everything to find my happiness. I didn't do anything wrong."

"Min Ho, what is the meaning of this?" his father came storming in and stood beside his mother, who was crying even harder.

"I'm asking if noona being alive is why mother is so paranoid." Min Ho says, eye hard as he looks at his father. He wasn't so sure before but seeing his mother react this way made him confirm it. He could hear his wife at the back coming towards him but he could care less.

"If she is so what?" his father stated and it sent unpleasant feeling down his back, "If we did nothing then you might have not be where you are, all we did was for our own good. For all of us."

'for you', the word git stuck in his mind and the meaning of where possibly his half sister might have been created ugly thoughts in his already full head.

"So, you're saying," he stared at his parents, "You faked her death and sent her away, just so you could have all her property? to have what is hers?" he questioned in disappointment, waving his hand around and gesturing at the house.

"We did it for you." his mother cries as his father stated at him with a hard look in his eyes, too much pride to admit it

"I never ask for it!" Min Ho yells at his two parents, behind him the maids and his wife with his two kids and his sister flinched. They never saw Min Ho this angry to scream at someone, "She is your own daughter, how could you do that to her?" he cries, tears streaming down his face as he stare at his mother in pure hatred.

They fought, Min Ho was too hurt to even stay in the same house as his parents, and so he move out of the Park resident and went to his old decent apartment, the place in Gwangju where he use to live while he was in the university. It's a studio apartment, that's why he kept it to escape from the world and just be himself for even a day. Now, it will serves as his new home. He feels too disgusted to live under one roof with his parents right now. He can just inform his wife that he's staying elsewhere for the time being.
