20 Black Dragon

Joon Ki went panic, he didn't take the news so well. When he came to where Akane and Ran was, Akane told him what happened as slowly as she can to make the man understand but he was angry and confused that he took his daughter and left the women in the middle of the road. He drove away in his car and didn't even turn to look back.

"Told him this could happen and now what?" He walked out on me. Akane scoffs and sit on the hood of her car and stayed there, watching the speeding cars passing by her. She feels numb inside, her heart hasn't felt this heavy since years and she feels like she could cry. But she didn't, this isn't worth crying over. Joon Ki isn't. Not how he treated her. Sure they had been living under the same roof for almost a month now but Joon Ki just kept his distance, emotionally. They did hug and kiss but their relationship was going slower than she guessed and Joon Ki wasn't really ready to actually open up to her fully.

"Fucking twist, how ironic?!"

Akane pull herself together and calls some of her men, telling them to meet up in the given address. She wanted to clean up the mess of a house. It's not a pleasant experience and she left a note for Joon Ki to just move out of the house, and call her if he needs any assistant on doing so. It only took them a one night and a day to clean and meant the house to its original state with blood stains, dead bodies and bullet holes on the door and walls.

She couldn't rest there though, she had to find out who the fuck was brave enough to actually make her hit. She's notorious so not just someone would take a contract to kill her. It should be from the older mafia, with enough background to go after someone of her standing.

She actually bought a new house in fancy neighbouring area just because it's quite secure in here.

If only Joon and Ran could... Akane sighs and stares out through the glass wall at the calming river. What she desperately wished for when she was a kid never came true, she dont even know why was she wishing again knowing that it's useless.

Her new house is massive, let's just call it that. It has a large master two master bedrooms, bathroom attached with it own balconies and much smaller three guest rooms with one bathroom for share, large kitchen with fancy dining table and a staffroom, huge living room and a bare room then there's the sunset room with floor to ceiling glass wall that gives a perfect view of sun setting in the evening. It's also near the river so it was probably good, Akane can get a yacht. She likes the sea better anyway.

With managing the Kim Inc. Akane decided to just get officially as an business women now managing her uncle's assets (her father's, honestly). It only took a call to her newly acquired assistant and a formal conference to state her claim on the property for her pictures to blow up all over the news.

"Are the Park's giving up their position in the company?"

Akane actually smiles at the question, it was indeed amusing her. Her assistant sure did invited quite nosy reporters.

"They haven't reach out to me actually. I do not know the answer to your question." Akane smoothly replied, giving the man below him a slight smile.

"What does it mean, Akane shi?!"

"Are they refusing to give up the company to you?!!"

"How could they, you are the rightful owner!!!"

"Madam Kim say something?" Hyo Jun, the assistant whispers and gave the chair a tap.

Akane smiled and waited for the questioning voices to stop before answering anything.

"As I said, they have not reach out to me and I have no interest in contacting them. I have much bigger matters in my hand right now and I don't think I want to take away what the Park's had been looking after for years." she innocently answers knowing her words have an impact on public and what she was implying through her words were obvious.

It was a silent 'i don't want to take the only company the Park's have to provide them with'

Jinkwang might have called her savage for her statement.

What the Park's have is the biggest company her father had created from a skretch. But it is only one while there are several high end stocks and shares under Akane now. Much more than the big company can ever compare too. She could just sell the stocks and live off the wealth her uncle's had saved since his father's death. But she didn't, even if she have to work her ass to maintain the business her father started.

The conference ended as quickly as it started, Akane had no words to spare than necessary commentaries.

Akane sighs as she sat down on her couch in her room. Business meetings are tiring and it just makes her so sleepy. She managed to drag herself to take a shower before falling face first into her bed, still in her bathrobe.

Next day, she decided to just work from home and only attend really important meetings only.

It was after a month from the incident when she finally got the information she needed the most.

Black Dragon is a yakuza group, one of the oldest and well respected one at that. Why the hell would they take up the contract, it was alarming as it means they are looking for a war with Akane and her own clan of well known group of yakuza.

Akane couldn't help but sighed. She can guessed that Dan have got the gust of what had happened involving her. She knows the man is quite impulsive. She could only hope for Mr. Yamada to think carefully after knowing this information.
