10 1 Year.
[One Year Later.]
"Void Eater." A large shadowy figure emerged from the ground. It had red eyes and giant shadow teeth.
"Eat." Esdeath said as she pointed to a large draconic Super Class Danger Beast. The Void Eater traveled between the shadows the trees casted and eventually reached the Danger Beast. It's giant jaws almost bit down on the Danger Beast until a beam of light stopped it.
"Good job, Archon." Vedeath said to a giant winged being made of pure light.
"Ve-chan, you can't let me win? Please?" Esdeath asked and she gave Vedeath the deadly puppy eyes. Vedeath closed her eyes and turned away.
"No! I won't let you win again!" Vedeath said and Esdeath sighed.
"Guess I'll have to win with my own strength. Void Eater, unlock seals 1 and 2." The Void Eater began to grow until it was about ten feet tall. Once it reached this height it began to morph continuously until it turned into a humanoid shadowy mass with no mouth, long arms with large claws, and two white circles for eyes. The Void Eater charged Vedeath's Archon with blinding speed. The Archon couldn't perceive Void Eater's speed and was stabbed in the stomach by its giant claws. Void Eater threw Archon into a tree and almost killed it.
"Tsk, Archon go into phase 2." Vedeath said and the Archon began to shine brightly making the Void Eater back away. As Archon was going into phase 2 the Super Class Danger Beast they were hunting roared.
"SHUT UP!" Vedeath and Esdeath yelled in unison and the Danger Beast shut its mouth. Archon was shrouded by a veil of light until it began to crack. When the veil was cracked an armored angel with six wings replaced the previous Archon. Archon and Void Eater clashed and created an explosive shockwave.
"Now while they fight, let's see who's going to get to kill this Danger Beast." Vedeath said as she drew her sword and Esdeath drew her rapier. The sisters vanished and reappeared clashing swords. Vedeath kicked Esdeath into the air and proceeded to fire multiple beams of light. Esdeath stepped on the air via ice and blocked the beams of light with ice. Vedeath stopped firing light beams and started to write words in the air with her Light. Esdeath knew what she was doing and didn't allow her to finish a spell of that caliber.
"Tendrils of Hell!" Multiple black tentacles emerged from the ground. Each tendril had a claw that would rip regular humans to shreds if they were caught. The tendrils almost reached Vedeath but were erased by a ball of light the size of a golf ball.
"Heavenly Judgment Act 4: Divine Repentance!" The golf ball-sized sphere of light began to shoot out wisps of light that erased everything they touched. The wisps shot out at random but avoided Esdeath entirely.
"Fine you wanna cheat, I can cheat." Esdeath said as her hands were covered in darkness and her eyes turned white.
"Eclipse!" The sun slowly began to dim and it was soon nighttime. Once it was dark creatures began to arise from the shadows. These creatures varied in size and they all attacked the Danger Beast. Vedeath sighed heavily and accepted her loss.
"Archon return." Vedeath and a ball of light entered her chest. Esdeath made Void Eater return and the creatures she summoned disappeared.
"Now we're tied, 200-200." Esdeath said as she winked at Vedeath who rolled her eyes in annoyance.
'So what's next on the roster?' Vedeath asked Yang.
'Nothing. You two have turned a two and a half year training into a one-year training. Your talent is simply rule breaking.' Yang said with shock and awe.
'So what do we do now? I don't think we have any big goals in mind do we Ve-chan?' Esdeath asked Vedeath who shook her head.
'Didn't your Empire betray you? You could get revenge.' Yin said and the sisters shrugged.
'We don't really care about the betrayal. I personally would like to see it burn to the ground, I don't know about Es-chan though.' Vedeath said.
'I agree, I would like to see burn. After it's destroyed I guess we can live a semi-peaceful life right?' Esdeath suggested and Vedeath nodded.
'Then I guess we should leave the forest. We have no idea where we are but we have a lot of time on our hands.' Vedeath said as she and Esdeath returned to the cave and gathered what little they had. They walked for what seemed like days until they reached the end of the forest.
"Looks like we're entering a new phase in our life." Vedeath said.
"Yeah, this time we won't be easily defeated or fooled." Esdeath said as she and her sister walked out of the forest and appeared on this side of a dirt road. Esdeath created cloaks made of darkness that shrouded her and her sister in mystery.
They walked down the dirt road for a couple of days. Every time they saw someone pass by the person would collapse for no reason which frustrated the sisters because they wanted to know where the nearest town was. After about another week of traveling, they eventually reached a small town.
"Finally, I'm tired of walking." Vedeath said as they neared the walls.
"I agree, walking gets annoying." Esdeath said as they arrived at the front gates. The guards who were stationed at the gate immediately felt an oppressive aura slam down on their shoulders. Many of them collapsed and the ones who didn't coughed up mass amounts of blood. One guard looked in the direction the aura was coming from and almost shit his pants. The guard felt as if a dragon was behind him ready to eat him at any time. The sisters didn't care how the guards were feeling and walked right through the gates. Now the entire town felt an oppressive aura on their shoulder with 90% of them passing out.
"What's with it with random people passing out near us?" Esdeath asked.
"I don't know. You think it's an illness?" Vedeath asked and got a shrug from Esdeath.
'For two prodigies you two sure are dense.' Yin said and the sisters were confused.
'The reason they are passing out is due to the Magical Energy your body is releasing. Normal humans can't handle being in the presence of such a strong aura, it's also being amplified by your dragon heritage. Creating this oppressive aura that could potentially kill a regular human if you focused it on them.' Yin explained, clearing up the sister's confusion.
"Well, that's unfortunate." Vedeath said flatly. She had zero intention of lowering her aura level.
"Totally." Esdeath said sarcastically. The sisters continued to walk through the town no matter what and just took stuff for free. The sisters left the town and continued to go from town to town. Every time they visited a town, most of the population would pass out thus creating a nickname for them. The Tyrannical Phantoms, due to their oppressive aura and shadowy cloaks that hid their entire body. The sisters became such a problem that the Empire sent a small task force to deal with them.
"Hold it!" A man with silver armor said from on top of his horse. The sisters didn't stop walking and ignored the man.
'Whose that weirdo?' Vedeath asked and Esdeath shrugged.
"I said hold it!" The man said as he ordered the archers to fire arrows. The arrows froze before they could even reach their bodies and the sisters turned around.
"Hais, can we be left alone please?" Vedeath asked as she pointed her finger at the 100 man troop.
"Hyoketsu." Vedeath said and the entire 100 man troop was frozen. She snapped her fingers and they broke into pieces.
"I guess this means we can't travel in peace anymore, Hais." Esdeath said with a sigh as she made the shadow cloaks disappear.
"You remember my dream about becoming assassins? We can do that now!" Vedeath exclaimed and Esdeath almost sighed again.
"Ve-chan how are we going to become assassins? Who are we going to assassinate?" Esdeath asked and as if she had it all planned out Vedeath answered.
"Well first off we are probably some of the richest people on this planet." Vedeath said as she pointed to their numerous Danger Beast hides in her sack.
"Secondly, we are going to assassinate Empire officials duh." Vedeath said and Esdeath couldn't refute her argument.
"Fine, we'll be assassins. What are we going to call our assassin group?" Esdeath asked and Vedeath went into deep thought.
"I don't want it to be a group, so we'll call ourselves what they call us now but with a slight modification." Vedeath said.
"That slight modification will be?" Esdeath asked and Vedeath smiled.
"Tyrannical Phantom Dragons!" Vedeath said with a big smile and Esdeath facepalmed.
"Ve-chan, I'm not going to lie to you. That is a horrible name." Esdeath said and Vedeath's expression went from happy to sad.
"But I put a lot of thought into that name!" Vedeath exclaimed and Esdeath shook her head
"It's way too long, it should be shorter. Something like the Phantasmal Twins or something." Esdeath said and Vedeath's eyes lit up.
"I like Phantasmal Twins! I knew you were smart!" Vedeath said as she hugged Esdeath and Esdeath almost died from blood loss due to the boobs in her face.
"Now let's get going." Vedeath said as she began to run with Esdeath following. Vedeath ran until she reached the mountains. Esdeath was incredibly confused and decided to ask what her sister was doing.
"I'm looking for a good hideout! We are way too far from the forest, so the mountains will do well." Vedeath said as she found a place. The location was at the peak of a mountain. The mountain was snow-capped and it reached into the clouds due to how tall it was.
"That's actually a good location." Esdeath said slightly surprised at her sister making good decisions all of a sudden.
"All right! Now that we have a location we have to get our name known." Vedeath said as they began climbing the mountain via ice.
"We could assassinate a high-ranking official or something." Esdeath suggested.
"No, those people are usually heavily guarded. We could freeze their house but I want the job to be done smoothly." Vedeath said as she reached the peak.
"Understandable but we have to get our name known somehow. Killing someone of that caliber and all of their guards would help us out a lot." Esdeath said and Vedeath agreed.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Vedeath said as she began to write letters In the air with her Light. Esdeath's hands were covered in darkness and her eyes turned white.
"Divine Darkness: Unholy Castle!" The sisters said in unison and their respective elements began to combine with each other. The combined elements flew up in the air and started to grow until they created a floating castle.
"Alright! Now we can finally begin our rise to the peak!" Vedeath exclaimed with a smile.
