Val eyes soon open and he found himself in a wooden hut. He was confuse where he was. He was just outside waiting for night.

The door open and a young girl walk in with a bucket of water.

" Oo your up.? " She said as she moved toward Val. He was confuse as he look at the girl. He then notice his white skin and was shock. From waking up that last night he felt like he was in a dream. He started to doubt what happen but what the girl said later destroy his little up.

" Um mister what were you doing in the woods outside our village sleeping. Don't you know monster are in the forest." The girl said.

Val put his hand on his head as she tried to figure out what happen. He was first a monster then a human. ( Wait does that mean I can switch from each) Val thought. He felt a urge to test his theory but he couldn't transform Infront of the girl.

" I can remember. Thank for saving me. My name is Val. What is your" Val sigh as he said to the girl. She showed a smile when she heard Val friendly tone and answer.

" I Rena nice to meet you. And welcome to Pun village." The girl said as she smile at him.

Val got up out of the bed and left the hit with Rena. The hut was located somewhere at the side of the village.

" So Rena where is your mother." Val ask.

" She currently working in the shop.She will stop working at 5 in the evening so you can meet her then. Hey Val do you mind if you stay her and keep me company until my mom come back. " Rena ask as she grab Val right arm. Val eyes twitch but he sigh.

" K" The two hang around the small hut as Rena talk about alot if things.

He learn that the forest near hear is call Black forest. It is one of the targets forest in the continent and have alot of terrible monster living inside. Pun village is one of the many border village if Lancer kingdom who face the forest.

Rena was surprising 14 year old and wanted to be a wizard but she his unable to be one since she had no talent. She is also sickle so she can be a fighter bit her mother allow her to dream. As Val listen to hear story he felt pity for her but on the other hand he wander about her and her mother mentality.

The mother just left a male stranger with her daughter and the daughter just causally just talk to him. This perplex him.

The two talk until noon came.

A young woman with similar appearance as Rena came walking to the two. She had a sweet smile that charm Val when he saw her.

" Oh your awake. Are you Okay now?" She ask.

Val absently nodded at her. Rena who saw this chuckle inward but was kind of jealous of her mother. If looking at Val current appearance he look to be 16 years. Rena was attracted this Val and got jealous he had that reaction to middle age woman.

But can anyone blame him. His mental age was of 40 something so Rena was a kid to him.

The woman felt awkward being stared at by the handsome boy and fake a cough.

"Any way my name is Cara and I'm Rena mother."She said with a smile.

"Sorry. I'm Val nice to meet you.And thanks you for helping me." Val woke up and said.

She smile at what he said and lead the two into the hut.

"So Val what are you planning to do now." Cara ask as she began to prepare dinner.

Val was not sure how to answer her. He didn't know when he will turn into a monster again plus he didn't really have anywhere to go.

Rena saw complicated expression." Mom can't he stay her with us." She ask.

Cara was contemplating Rena choice. She soon nodded.

" Okay it is fine for you to stay but you will have to help in the village. I will ask the village chief to get you a jog in field."

Val was glad and nodded enthusiastically. Rena and Cara laugh at Val face.Cara continue to look after dinner.

" Cara could I step out for a ..." *Boommm!!!!*

Val was interrupted by a huge explosion. This shock the three and went out to see what happen. The entire front area of the village was on fire.

Val could hear the panic village shouting out bandits. He frowned. Cara and Rena heard this too and they face paled.

" Val, Rena we need to leave now. The bandits around this part are extremely vicious and will raid and kill." Cara said as she ran inside. She came back out with a small leather pouch.

She then lead the two into the forest.

The three began to run trying to ignore the scream and cries from the village. Val pick Rena as she was get short of breathe from running so long.

The three manage to run for 30 minute until they manage to at a pond.

" Couldn't the village work together to fight the bandits." Val ask. Bit got depress when he saw Cara shook her head.

" The strongest person in the village is. the chief at FF rank. That is basically the power level of the weakest bandit in the group." Cara explain. Val gulp when he heard this. He remember when he kill a black wolf in his other form and ask.

"In this forest they are black fur wolf right what ranks are those?" Val ask.

Cara was confuse why he mentioned this but answer. "Those wolves you talk about most likely shadow wolves. They are D or EEE rank. Probably the same rank as the Bandit boss but those wolf live deep in the black forest."

Val was shock since he defeated a B rank monster with no effort. Maybe if he was a monster now he could kill them but he didn't want to be a monster.

" Hey you found those two!" A loud yelled came from behind them. Val and Cara became alert.

"Damn it No. If those two manage to notify our next target the boss will be mad.We need to find them quick before they reach the next village." A next voice was heard.

The three became anxious. " We can't out run them. We have to find a place to hide until they leave." Val said. He tried to find a place and pointed to a nearby tree.

Cara nodded to him and told them to go. Val place Rena on his should and was about to climb the tree when an arrow came fly and pierce him in the legs.

" Got you."
