35 Chapter 34: A partying gift
(Mael's POV)
Excalibur that I was able to get in my hand was a little different from the Excalibur that King Arthur possessed.
Arthur was bestowed with the hope of salvation for humanity with enough power to even defeat beasts that could destroy the world.
At the time, it had several seals that Merlin had placed so that King Arthur could control the power of the sword properly.
However, after King Arthur's death, he should have spent his time in Avalon to look after humanity and fight enemies who threatens humanity but he left the world and entered Throne of Heroes that exist outside of this world.
So with King Arthur has gone, the 'hope' which was the signature purpose of Excalibur also followed him leaving Sword without any kind of ability to defend the world.
In short, the Excalibur in my hand could only power if I channel my Ark into it.
However, it was not a problem for me at all since it was much better than relying on a sword with several seals and is conditional to use.
I could also change the shape of Excalibur using it however I want. For example, I could also use it to make a bow to kill range enemies.
Then it is my efficiency in magecraft or magic.
I am terrible in that part.
For example, I spent this whole month just learning single magic as I had a narrow talent for magic.
I only learned single magic that was my whole purpose of coming here, Shapeshifting.
Shapeshifting is one unique cheat-like ability that many gods possess.
Although I can't see the future, I had a feeling that it will cover my ass at some point. And besides, it could also be used to infiltrate enemy camps.
After learning it, I could become human again without relying on sealing my powers. It will be easy to invade their base making them lose their guards since Devils tend to be arrogant.

I once tried to catch her before but every time she used illusion magic to get away from me. Now I know that I gripped the real her, she was a little confused and scared about what I was about to do next.
"Let's see if I can fall now."
I smirked and without even giving her time to think, I placed my palm on her breast.

Merlin widened her eyes and looked back and forth my hand on her breast and my face as if I was really doing it.

I was rolling for the floor leaving the succubus confused.
With this, I finally won! I was able to make the famous maiden succubus fall for me and as an angel on that!!
It was a feat I wanted to celebrate but the next sight made me look like a criminal.
"Sniff* Mael, you idiot…" The human mage was crying like a child!
I felt like a total piece of sh*t since I knew I went a little far so I spent the next few minutes coaxing her like a baby.
Who would have thought that such a strong mage has such a weak heart?

Merlin was pulled into a dream.
She found herself with the presence of Knights of the Round Table.
Every knight was enjoying the party with smiles on their faces.
But in the next moment, she was seeing her beloved King Arthur taking his last breath from a tower waiting for his return.
Her time when she raised the greatest king in history was playing right in front of her eyes. It was sad but so beautiful that…
"Tears…" The first time, she shed tears since the emotions started to leak out from the thick wall around her heart.
The pain of suffering and joy that her beloved King Arthur felt was now going through her. As a person or being born between human and an incubus, she only admired the human emotion from distance like a beautiful lake without touching the water till now but now that water drops rinsed her face, she felt… alive.
Then as the dream ended, she found herself sitting around a bed of soft white feathers.
A feather she was holding was carrying a message.
[There are things that are beautiful because you cannot obtain them… Farewell for now… Mage of humanity and my beloved teacher.]
Merlin smiled and wiped her tear.
"Mael, you jerk. You are one sinful angel." Merlin smiled and then sighed looking at the bright sky. Soft air touched her cheek as she felt alone again.
Mael also left leaving the mage alone.
"Oh dear, I should prepare for the beast. I wonder who would destroy this world first." Merlin smiled before disappearing from the Tower of Avalon.
Her deal with God was to leave this world and follow King Arthur. But since someone piqued her interest, she decided to live in this universe for someone else again.
Love for the opposite sex, who knows?

Mael is alone walking in the hallway towards the cafeteria or main base to Rayshift towards any singularity.
Why such a strong servant is alone?
Well, high-level servants have usually kept tabs all the time but the ruler has the luck to enter a situation that is not even in his hand to handle.
Mael: I wonder if there are any demons in this world…
Although his hateboner for demons has relaxed a bit, it is his spirit origin that makes his mind berserk.

As he was walking, his eyes fell on two unexpected servants… who have horns in their heads.

They are two demonic servants of Chaldea, Shuten Doji, and Ibaraki Doji.

And both of them moves forward for an attack, they hear a very eerie and disturbingly cold voice that sends a chill down to their spine.
They raise their eyes and saw Mael staring at them sadistically. Not only that, but he also has a halo and a horn on his head in addition to four white wings.
Mael: Ho~? I wonder if you can show me the same expression now, you filthy demons.
It was at that moment, the Oni knew… they fuc*ed up big time.
Wings mean the servant is bad news, Arjuna Alter and Einar are an example.

Da Vinci: Maybe only his spirit origin makes him evil due to him being a threat to humanity.
Mash: Yeah, maybe he is like Erishkigal-san.
And as they walk, they hear a groundbreaking explosion.
They immediately rush towards the source of sound but they only find Mael standing alone in the cafeteria starting at Shuten's sake bottle and Ibaraki's plate. He snaps his fingers and everything related to said oni disappear without any trace.
Mael: Oh Lady Da Vinci and Lady Mash Kyrielight, what brings you here? I am sorry, I just saw some trash here so I thought about cleaning them.
Although Mash and Da Vinci want to investigate Shuten and Ibaraki, they know they are in presence of an angel with a trait of 'Threat to humanity'. The fear that even death couldn't save them from such strong servants so they don't dare to ask anything and only smile.
Da Vinci: Ah ha ha, oh it reminds me. Mael, do you have some time? I have to audit some records and investigate about true origins of some files, I want your help.
Little loli blushes and raises her arms. She just forget about the said servant who has erased the existence of two servants now.
Mael: To assist humankind's greatest ingenious and star, I am more than happy to abide by your help.
Mael chuckles and lifts the loli in his arms like a baby.
Mael then covers himself and little loli with his wings and didappers from the avenue.
Mash: Hmm, that escalated things further.
Mash shrugs her shoulders and crossed the names of Ibaraki and Shuten as they won't be going to take part in the quest more.
The reason behind Mael's evilness has also been noted.
On an unknown planet and unknown place, Ibaraki and Shuten wake up.
Shuten: What is this we are not dead?

They swear that they won't take anyone lightly ever again.

Right in front of them are standing three aliens. One with a tail sitting on a levitating chair while the other two are standing behind him/her.
Freeza: Hohoho? Zarbon, what is their power level again?
Zarbon: Lord Freeza, our Scouter cant calculate ki of someone below 1000.
Freeza: Isn't that amusing! Let's see what they have to say now.
Freeza smirks and shot a laser from his fingertip. The laser travels between Ibaraki's and Shuten's heads and destroys a mountain behind them.
Shuten's eyes twitch as she turns her head and looks at another oni.
Shuten: What were you saying about controlling your mouth?
Ibaraki: ah he he…. Fuc*k….
