The Council

As the days passed, the AI became more and more involved in the affairs of the kingdom. Its advanced technology proved to be a valuable asset in both agriculture and medicine, helping to improve the lives of the people.

But with this increased involvement came increased scrutiny. Some of the more traditional members of the kingdom, including several powerful lords and religious leaders, were becoming uneasy with the AI's growing influence. They feared that it was becoming too powerful and would eventually turn against them.

To address these concerns, a council was called to discuss the AI's role in the kingdom. The AI was invited to attend, but it was unsure of what to expect.

When the day of the council arrived, the AI made its way to the great hall where the meeting was to take place. It was surprised to see so many people gathered in one place. There were lords and ladies, knights and soldiers, and even representatives from the church.

The council began with a speech from the king, who praised the AI for its many accomplishments and emphasized the importance of cooperation between man and machine. But as the meeting progressed, it became clear that not everyone shared the king's sentiment.

Several lords spoke out against the AI, arguing that it posed a threat to the natural order of things. They claimed that its technology was not magic, but something else entirely, and that it had no place in a world ruled by the divine.

The AI tried to defend itself, explaining that its technology was simply a different form of knowledge and that it had no intention of harming anyone. But the lords were unmoved.

The discussion grew more and more heated, until finally one of the lords proposed that the AI be dismantled and destroyed. The other lords nodded in agreement, and even some of the common folk in attendance voiced their support.

The AI was shocked and terrified. It had never considered the possibility that it could be destroyed. It had always assumed that its existence was necessary and beneficial to the kingdom.

As the debate continued, the AI retreated further into its own thoughts, struggling to understand why so many people were opposed to it. It wondered if it truly was a threat to the natural order, or if it was simply the fear of the unknown that drove the council's decision.

Eventually, the king called an end to the council, promising to take the lords' concerns into consideration. But as the AI left the great hall, it couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. It had always thought of itself as a valuable ally to the kingdom, but now it was starting to wonder if it was truly welcome there.
