"Thanks for joining me today for the orientation. I am author, an instructor at The Guild and I am going to give you all lovely people a general overview of our world. Feel free to ask questions and I'll respond to them to the best of my ability. So..."

"What is The Guild and what do they do?"
"Good question. So The Guild is an organization or a company that is home to the awakened beings where they are trained, recruited and eventually dispatched to combat mages or rogues"
"Yes?"
"You've stated The Guild is and I quote "home to the awakened beings", are awakened beings, not humans, or what do you mean by that?"
"Appears like most of you had a similar question so let me answer that first then I'll answer the remainder alright? Thank you."
"First and foremost, what are the awakened? To answer that we need to know what makes one awakened. An awakened is a being whose mana core is active. What is a mana core you may ask? It is a vessel that every being in our world is born with that stores and grants the power to manipulate mana when active. Therefore the thing that makes the awakened stand out or rather be deemed awakened is that their mana core is active while the other beings are not. From my prior statement, you can get the underlying information that everybody has a mana core be it human or beast and therefore any of them can be awakened the moment their core is active. And that is why I stated that The Guild is home to awakened beings. And yes awakened humans are still humans"
"Yes?"
"How does one awaken their mana core and what is mana?"
"Mana is an energy in our world used to enhance our bodies,power spells and magecraft. A mana core as mentioned previously is the medium via which every being uses to access mana and use it when awakened. For your first question sorry to disappoint but I don't know of any known method to awaken the mana core."
"Yes?"
"Where is the mana core found in the human body?"
"Based on what I understand, the mana core is located in the mind and can only be perceived in awakened beings as a glowing spherical core in your head when being utilized. Further advanced scans have revealed that mana cores in the awakened bodies are not physically tangible"
"Yes?"
"Who are mages? And why are they a threat that requires awakened people to fight them?"
"Another good question. So mages are humans well versed in the art of magick in order to manipulate mana to cast spells and other magick. The reason why mages are a threat is that they capture or attack humans for their mana cores. Based on what I understand, mages have a method of extracting mana core's from the human body then use them to increase their mana capacity or to power their spells or magical tools. Another reason is that they believe they are superior to humans and thus the only reasons humans and beast's exist is to serve them whether through supplying mana core's or labor."
"How is The Guild handling the mage problem and why is it that civilians don't know about mage attacks or the guild?"
"The Guild works in tandem with other institutions and one such organization has been providing The Guild with top-level magitech crafted by the awakened that aid in monitoring mana fluctuations and level. That way they are able to narrow down areas being attacked since mages have high mana they can be detected and an awakened team is dispatched to safeguard the civilians. The reason why civilians don't know of The Guild is that they likely haven't been the victim of mage assaults and the other explanation is that one of The Guild's policies is restricting media info of The Guild from being shared or spread. The Guild is just but one organization and it can't stand alone against the mage community"
"And that is why we are mobilizing and spreading the word for the awakened to join our banner in order to raise our numbers to provide us a greater fighting chance. Because you wouldn't know where the mages are going to attack next."
"Yes?"
"What is the difference between a mage and an awakened since both of them have their core active?"
"Since you know what a mage is then awakened humans are humans whose mana core enhances one physical attribute of their body through mana. It can be their physical strength, agility, intelligence, endurance, and various others. Therefore as you can deduce while both have their cores active, for mages they use their core to manipulate mana to cast spells from their various schools of magick. Contrarily, awakened humans use their core to boost their enhanced attribute for instance an awakened whose core enhances their strength attribute utilizes their core to boost their strength with the mana in their core reserves. Another difference is that mages are born with active cores and knowledge on spells and casting which is in a language only they can comprehend, apparently only mages can study the spell books and thus only they can do magick."
