7 Chapter 7

Artemis was woken by her alarm clock, she sat up as she turns off her alarm clock and look at the time. It's 6:30 in the morning, as she got up from her bed, she stretches her body as she does simple jumping jacks, 20 push up and 20 curl ups.

It took her 5 minutes do all that, Artemis walk towards her walk-in closet as she took a towel to wipe her sweats. As she wipes her sweats, a ringtone was heard from her other phone where it has her personal contacts and more personal stuff.

Artemis picks up her phone and put it in her ear, a woman's voice was heard through the other call with a bit seductive voice but carried more gentleness on her tone. "Art, are you okay? I heard that Emily was kidnapped, although it happened all the time I just want to see if your okay" her aunt from her biological mother's side ask in concern, checking if she's okay.

Although Artemis heard this for millions of times, she still felt her heart melted from the warm that her only blood relatives give her. "Yes, Aunt Cass, I'm okay" she assured her in her sweet voice that only she used in her family, smiling gently as she stares at the window.

"How's your mission? Did you enjoy your experience being a college student? Are the students and the teacher are all nice to you?" Her Aunt Cassiopeia, also known as Cass, ask Artemis a lot of questions in one breath but her voice was still kind as ever.

Artemis giggles at her aunt's action. "My mission was okay, there hasn't been shit happening yet. I enjoy my experience at the college although the subject was easy for me and the students are okay, I got a lot of information from them. Also, the teachers were also okay, I was glad that they didn't cause me trouble from my mission" she answer all of her aunt's questions one by one slowly.

"That's good, it just sad that I'm in another country but don't worry in the next couple of weeks ill be back and we'll celebrate" Cass smile as she that to her niece as she holds some documents on her hand.

"Okay" Artemis shortly reply to her aunt with a smile on her face, the two talk for a while after that the phone call stop. Artemis took a shower after the call, after she finish taking a shower, she went towards her wardrobe and took a black suit with a dark red tie. She fixes the small wrinkles on her suit, Artemis crouch down on her wardrobe where there's drawers on the bottom.

She opened one of the drawers and took the black combat boots, she went to the chair inside of the walk-in closet then sat down to wear the shoes.

Artemis walk down the stairs; she meets her uncle on the way to the kitchen. The two meet their eyes, "Art, don't kill him okay?" Tom said to Artemis with a smile on his face, Artemis smile at her uncle. "Don't worry Uncle Tom" she assured her uncle with confidence.

His uncle laughs at her then patted her shoulder as he walks out. Artemis walk towards the kitchen, in the table there's a food that her mother prepared for her.

Artemis sat down in the table and began to ate the food, although she was all alone in the room, eating, she didn't feel alone as she was used to it.

After Artemis finish eating her food, she put the dishes on the sink to let the servants wash them. Artemis walk down the hallway and walk down the stairs as she passes by some servants on the way, she turns left when she saw a black bookshelf at her sight.

As she turned left, she was met by a big door with RHODODENDRONS engraved in it with a finger print pad and password pad at the side of the door.

Artemis place her finger on the finger pad and a robotic female voice was heard on the speaker saying "Successful, please proceed to the other one". Without waiting for the AI to finish, Artemis quickly input the password on the other pad.

"Welcome, Artemis" the voice greeted her in a dead voice as it opened the door for her, the door might look like it's a wooden door but it's made of metal that the same weight as the tank.

Artemis enter the door and was met by a dark hallway filled with metal walls with only small lights on the side of the floor in the hallway, as she steps forward, the light at the ceiling and side of the wall lights up.

Artemis stop walking as she met a door; she opened the door after she slide her card on the pad. The room was full of different weapons starting from melee weapons to firearms with also different varieties and a table at the center of the room with custom guitar cases and cases for weapons on the table.

(just like this but the room was like 100x bigger or 50)

She walks down towards where the sniper rifles that carefully place in the shelves, she held her chin with her hand for a minute before she picks the AW50 in the wall.

As she picks up the AW50, the wall where the AW50 was moved backward. The blue LED light lights up as the wall stop, within seconds the wall was replace with a new AW50 as the machine carefully place it on the right place, after that the wall move forward, the same level as the other wall with a new AW50 on it.

Artemis went to the other shelf and took a grappling hook, bullets for the sniper and SIG Sauer P227 as she places it in the pocket, under her suit.

She walks at the center as she places all of the firearms she took; she takes one of the guitar cases on her front. She began to place the AW50 on the custom guitar case, she also fit the grappling hook in there and the bullets. She took the tactical pocket knife on the table and put in her back as she places it on the, hiding in her suit

Artemis close the custom guitar case and went to the other room; the other room was empty with only metal walls and light surrounded. Artemis stand at the middle of the room, just a seconds later, a hologram appears right in front of her.

Artemis lift up her other arm, she clicks the down button causing the floor to lowered and putting her into the underground.

"Please wait for a moment" a robotic male voice was heard. As Artemis wait, a light circle went through her body, scanning her.

After she was scanned, the door opened and another room as big as 2 basketball court can be seen. The room was empty but only had a parking lot with tablets on each lot, 3 meters away from each other as giving it space to walk.

Artemis walk towards the parking lot near her, she turned on the tablet that was at the side of the lot. A hologram pops up on the tablet as the hologram shows different vehicles as Artemis swipe the hologram, looking for a car that would be right.

She clicks the image of dark blue Mercedes-AMG GT, the hologram disappears and the floor on the lot lowered. Artemis took out her phone on her pocket, she looks at the clock and read some chapters in her phone as she waits for the car to go up. It took about minutes for the floor to go up with Mercedes-AMG GT on it, the car turned around into her face after the floor go up.

"Just you wait mother fucker, we'll fuck you up" Artemis curse as she squeezed the handle of the guitar case while smiling coldly, she places down the guitar case on the trunk then walk to the driver seat to start the car.

Artemis drove the car, leaving the underground. She calmly drove to the road towards her destination, it took her 30 minutes to reach her destination.

She parked at the parking lot by the Hotel near her, Artemis got out from the driver seat and walk to the trunk to take the guitar case then walk to the side walk to go to the hotel.

As she walks, some people glance at her then look back to the road as they minded their business. 'I look like a business woman holding a very expensive guitar case, how fucking cool is that' she thought to herself as she continues walking.

Just a few meters across, she saw a blonde woman with glasses, wearing black long sleeves with loose buttons at the top and a black high waist pants looking attractive as she walks opposite to Artemis. To be precise she has a golden hair, which caught Artemis attention.

'Huh, she looks beautiful but my gut telling me that there's something going on with her' she thought as she quickly a glance at the woman then glances back at the road. As they pass by each other, their eyes met for a second. Artemis look at her face and subconsciously let a warning gaze to the woman as her gut keeps telling her about the woman.

After a quick look at each other, Artemis continue to walk towards to the hotel as she memorizes the woman's face for the future since she couldn't ignore her gut.

'My gut has never been wrong, I should be for now' Artemis thought as she slightly tightens her grip on the handle, As Artemis busy thinking, the woman who have a brief eye contact on her, stop her tracks for a second as she looks back at Artemis with no expression on her face.

After seconds looking at Artemis, she looks back on the road and continue walking with a smile on her face but eyes wasn't smiling.

After a while, Artemis reach her destination which was Stone Hotel that was owned by her adoptive father. When she enters the hotel, the staff greeted her sweetly. Artemis walk to reception desk; the receptionist greeted her kindly as Artemis do the same.

Artemis took something from her suit and show it to the receptionist, as the receptionist saw the black card that was shown by Artemis, he smiled deeply then nodded as he gives the card back at gave her the room that was specially made for her.

Artemis nodded then walk to the elevator then pressed the floor 6 on the elevator, as the door opened, Artemis walk in the hallway while she turned right and left along the way.

Her room was at the end of the hallway, swiping the keycard, Artemis enter her room. Her room was modern style, it's bigger than the other room in the hotel but it was the same space as her siblings.

'Nothing change, it was the same as I left but much cleaner' she thought as she wipes her finger on the shelf near her, she places the guitar case on top of her bed then walk to the walk-in closet. Her closet was full of her clothes and some hidden weapons incase of emergency.

She walks towards the drawer and took out a black mask and wear it on her face, the black mask perfectly aligned on her nose making her more mysterious and attractive since you could only see her eyes.

Then she took a black glove then wear it, she walks towards the mirror to look at herself. Artemis started combing her long hair, she took a hair tie near her then tie her hair into a high ponytail.

Seeing herself, Artemis smile, although it can't be seen due to her mask but you can see that her eyes curled. Artemis left the walk-in closet; she took the guitar cases that was laying on her bed.

Artemis left her room, as she enters the elevator, someone was there. It was an elder woman wearing expensive clothes with expensive jewelry.

Their eyes met each other; the elder woman smiled at her as Artemis slightly bow her head to her. She saw the woman's disgust when she met her eyes, Artemis don't want stay with the elder woman thus, she walks towards the elder woman as the woman wait for her patiently, Artemis turned and enter to the other elevator, leaving the elder woman shock then choked in anger.

Artemis smirk under her mask, she holds her neck as she moves her head side to side. Closing the elevator door, Artemis press 0-6-1-2-6-0 buttons accordingly. The elevator closes the door but didn't move for 10 seconds before it moves downward.

As the elevator going down on the underground, Artemis rubs her wrists, opening the jacket of her suit and tapping her foot to the floor to relieve the boredom.

The door opened and the whole floor was different than at the main floor, it was full of people with weapons on them as some of them talk to their partners. The atmosphere of the whole floor was shady, this is one of the entrances to the underground industry.

Many people look at Artemis as they saw a celebrity but due to them being on the underground, they could only look at her then went back to their business as they think of becoming like her.

Artemis stop at the desk; the woman gave her a smile as she gave her a golden card. Artemis took the card and went upstairs; she stopped at the dark green door and began to knock.

"Come in" A woman's voice with a stern voice was heard inside of the room. As Artemis got the permission to enter, she calmly opens the door. There she met a woman sitting in the chair with her hands on the desk, wearing black coat and white turtle neck with a pair of black leggings.

Artemis sat down on one of the chairs while she place the guitar case on the ground, she comfortably finds a position to sit as her legs crossed while giving a cold aura.

"I want the quest for Freddie Madron" she nonchalantly requested as she look at her with calm eyes, Artemis would sometimes notice her piercing on her ears with four whole each as she interacts with her in the past.

"You don't have to request since the requestor remove it to the quest board and place it as one of your assignment"

The woman calmly stated as she slightly duck and took out some documents on her drawer and place it on the desk.

"Oh" Artemis reply as she took the document on the desk, she opened the folder and look at it. The folder contains of the target's name, his picture and a lot more details compared to the previous one.

Artemis stand up from her seat then walk out to the door however before she could step out of the room, the woman spoke to her "You're not even going to say goodbye to your friend?" she asks with a mocking tone, sneering at her as she leaned on the back of her chair.

Artemis look at her for a while then pondered for a second, "We're not friends" she bluntly claimed as she looks at her but hiding the slight smile under her mask. The woman laughs at her as she's used to this but known deep down the meaning Artemis's word.

Seeing that she laughs, Artemis left the room. She walks on the huge hallway; she followed the golden light that leads to the other room. It was the exit of the underground floor and an underground road leading to the head quarter of the underground industry that runs by Willian Stone.

At the side of the underground road, there's different kind of vehicle parked neatly. Artemis walk towards it and went for the black Suzuki GSX-R600, she swipes the golden card on the machine. The machine let go of the tire of the Suzuki GSX-R600, Artemis carefully place the guitar case on her back as she sits on the motorcycle and drove straight to the headquarters
