He said wearily. In the end, he had to quickly run and group up with two other friends before he got lost—something that should not be happening.

The journey seemed to be smooth without any trouble blocking them—neither monsters nor traps, no territorial obstacles at all. There were various clues along the path for Rin and Dani’s Halves to discover, leading them further deep into the forest without stopping.

"There are both dung and footprints..." Dani said, "As if this is its lair."

"That's right. Ramina could smell only one very strange scent. It seems that there is only one monster living here.”

Rin's words made Joke even more uneasy. He looked around in paranoia, knowing fully well what “the only monster” that lived here was.

Dani's tiny robot flew to the animal dung on the ground to inspect. It turned around and nodded at Dani, confirming that it was of the same type that had been examined along the way.
