Age of Fate

Remus came back home after celebrating his best friends 20th birthday, his head touched the pillow and allowed himself to be embraced in the arms of Morpheus. Unknowingly to Remus, his drink had been poisoned by a jealous colleague that had his eyes set on their common friend. The poison worked its way through his body and this young mans candle was snuffed prematurely due to envy. Next time Remus opened his eyes, he found himself in a much smaller and thinner body. Confused, he tried to scan his surroundings only to be greeted by walls enshrouded in darkness and wet sensation pressing against his legs. Slowly coming out of his stupor, Remus looked down and noticed a wooden handle of a knife stuck in his chest, blood was spurting out of the wound and was pooling around him. Feeling the stinging pain he tried shouting but his breath was stuck in the throat. Confused and panicked, the last thing he saw before his tired eyes closed was torchlight and a figure clad in shadows. High up in the sky, past the dark clouds obscuring the stars, a laughter could be heard, a laughter of thirsting gods...
