1 Start of the Apocalypse

"Kyle, don't!!" Jeff said, begging him.

"So much power!"

In front of the two scientists was a machine that has a sharp blade, capable of breaking the earth.

"By breaking the barrier of the Earth's core, Earth's energy will be exposed to those almighty beings!! They..Will..Kill..Us..All!!!"Jeff uttered his words separately.

"Jeff my friend, why would you fear those beings if we could become one of them? Exploring the vast cosmos!" Kyle shouted with greed flashing through his eyes.

Jeff pointed to the corpses in front of Kyle"Look! How many lives will be sacrificed to satisfy your dream!" the corpses were wearing the same coat as them.

"I will kill those who oppose me! Jeff, why?" While saying those words, Kyle pulled a gun from his vest and pointed it at Jeff.

Bang!!

" I will become an Almighty being!!! Hahaha!" Kyle maniacally laughed

Jeff kneeled, with blood on his chest

"....Someone...someone.. will protect those you destroyed." the conversation ended with the last breath of Jeff.

Kyle Connor, a scientist who made a major discovery. Together with Jeff Grey, they dominated the field. On one of their studies, they discovered a dimension physically untouchable by humans, violating the laws of space. Cause of destruction, greed and lastly, a source of power. Jeff Grey considered all effects but Kyle Connor only thought of one.....Power.

After killing Jeff, Kyle went over to the machine and activated it, hence the start of the nightmare.

In a department store, a man with a tall height that has the looks of a celebrity was currently entertaining his customer.

"If only you were not born in a poor family, you would've had a good life just with your looks. Have you paid your family's debt, young man?"the customer spoke

Eric furrowed his brows.'Why do customers these days ask so many things?'

Eric spoke politely " No Maam, as you see I'm currently working to pay the debt"

The customer grinned and said " With your handsome face, I have a job for you. Paying your family's debt will be a piece of cake after tha.!"

"I would have to reject that maam" Eric intercepted. He already knows what the customer will offer because there had been many people coming here to offer him a "job".

"Never lower your pride for just a piece of paper" He recalled what his father said and firmed his decision of rejecting those jobs.

After buying the product she wanted, the customer looked at him with disappointment.

Eric sighed. When he was still a kid, his family was already indebt to someone. Until now, he is still working his *ss off just to pay the debt.

Rumble!

Moments later, Eric heard a rumbling sound. The ground was shaking!

Flicker!

The lights in the department store turned on and off.

'What happened?' Even at this situation, Eric was calm.

"Ahhhhhhh!!!!"

The customer who walked away a moment ago came back to the department store, running.

"T...There's something out there!"

"!!!??" Eric was greatly disturbed. He knew the expression on the woman's face was real.

'What's out there that could even make this woman prostrate in fear?' Eric looked at the woman prostrating beside him. The woman was trembling in fear.

"T....The end has come!!" The woman shouted

Hearing that, Eric was now curious of what is out there.

He walked to the entrance of the department store, opened the door and walked out.

Looking at his side, Eric's eyes contracted. There, just meters away from him, was a human being eaten by something.

"D...Do...Dog!!??" The monster's physique may be a bit different but you can't mistake it for something else. It is clearly a dog!

Just then, Eric realized something.

"Its all real!" Eric was struck by a sudden realization. All of these were real! A monster looking like a dog, a man being eaten by it. It is all real!

Just when Eric was shocked, the minster stopped eating the man and looked at him.

'Those eyes'. Big round eyes with a bloody red dot at the center, shining like a jewel. He now knew why that woman ran towards the department store and trembled in fear.

With no room to think, Eric reacted by running towards the narrow alley near the department store.

Why didn't he run towards the department store? Because that monster could easily crush you and you would've had no chance of escaping.

The problem was he underestimsted the monster's speed. Who would've thought that it would be as fast as a car?

Sensing the air vehind him was splitting, he leaped to the side and rolled.

Eric may be poor but he would always work the whole day. Construction worker, Delivery guy, cashier. If there would be a spot open for a job, he would gladly take it to pay his family's debt.

After rolling, he ran with all his might, pushing his legs to the limit.

Just before he got in the alley, the monster opened his mouth and then tried to take a bite out of him. The monster closed his mouth but there were no signs of blood on its teeth nor were there any sign of Eric's body.

Eric successfully escaped the claws of death!
