66 Olympia's Past

Neither was Misha in sight, nor was Aiden and Demetria. He looked around and when he saw no one, he tried to summon Olympia, but noticing that she was in slumber, he decided to exit the attic alone.

Inside Brad's consciousness stream, the mist surrounding Olympia cleared bit by bit. She opened her magnificent eyes slowly and studied her surroundings. She noticed the changes in her body which she failed to notice previously.

Her wings were now fully icy-blue with a tinge of green in them. Her claws were sharper than it was earlier. Her right eye had a brilliant reddish glow and it was the same for the left eye, but the only difference was that it was icy blue instead of red.

Her tail had spikes which grew sharper too. As she closed her eyes, she could manifest a crystal sword and a spear which glowed together brilliantly. She looked majestic in her current appearance.

She changed to her human form and noticed a few changes.

The right side of her was clothed in reddish clothes and the left side in bluish-white. A third eye formed in between her brows and it had crimson iris and an icy blue corona. As she closed her eyes and re-opened them, her whole appearance changed, including her outfit.

She looked like a queen she was. The princessy aura left her. It was replaced by a more mature aura.

Olympia stood up and ruffled her feathers. As she took a step forward, she was reminded of the time she stayed in that magical bubble. It was not fair for her to blame her parents for so long. They were bound by their duties and that's what made it hard for her to suppress her inner guilt.

Two drops of tears slid down Olympia's fair cheeks and dropped onto the ground. Fresh petals of rafflesia emerged from the ground at the place where each teardrop fell.

Olympia was sure that later in life, she would get a chance to meet them. Previously they sacrificed their freedom for her sake, but this time, she is not gonna let something like that happen once more.

Looking at a faraway distance, Olympia muttered to herself, "Mother, Father, I will come to you. I will save you. I will definitely do. I won't let my master's sacrifice go to vain."

As she reminisced about the past, her heart constricted at the reminder of betrayal. She had been imperfect too, but she never imagined that her mate would betray her for power. All the vows and promises held no value to him. Olympia clutched her heart and thought back to the time when they betrayed her. Had her Master not arrived at that time, she would have died.

But, her Master died in the end, and it was partially her fault. Had he not taken that blow, he would have been perfectly well to defend himself against his own enemies. She knew very well how destructive that blow was.

Olympia regretted ever believing her clan members. That was the reason why she went to her berserk mode. She didn't like to be threatened. She couldn't watch on as they chained her father. Back then, they chained her favorite disciple.

At the thought of her disciple, another teardrop escaped her eyes, fell to the ground and similar to the previous times, another rafflesia formed.

Olympia looked at Deablo whose life force was getting weaker every passing day. If they didn't take him to the Derman Mountains, he would lose his life. Both Deablo and she returned and if they die this time, then, they might never be able to return.

Olympia wanted Deablo to wake up. This was the first time she felt such an intense connection towards Deablo. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't notice Deablo stirring.

She glanced at him and sighed in her heart.

She closed her eyes and a halo formed around her — her right side was completely engulfed in reddish flame and her left side was completely covered with bluish white icicles. A mask covered the upper half of her face and there was an imprint of fire and ice on her temple.

She rose higher in the sky and without using any of her powers, she could feel the intensity of her powers.

Brad climbed out of the attic through the window and searched for the plumbing. When he reached the nearest one, he held onto it and descended slowly.

As he reached the bottom, it was almost morning. He looked at the surroundings, dusted off his jeans, and tried to behave as normally as possible. The erratic speed of his heart refused to cooperate with him, but he managed to keep a straight face as he travelled towards the nearby subway. He had to reach his father. He hoped in his heart for Olympia to wake up before reaching the hospital.

With that thought in mind, he hurried towards the hospital. When he reached the hospital, he saw the retired general and his mother, Amelia standing in front of the hospital waiting for him.

Brad went there and asked his mom, "How is dad?"

"Same." Amelia replied.

Brad nodded and found a nearby bench to sit down, and then, went to his consciousness stream.

As he entered that place, he was astonished to see Olympia standing there with her head raised, and the elements surrounding her body. The aura radiated power like never before. It was much more stronger.

"Master!" Olympia noticed Brad as soon as he entered. Seeing him dumbfounded gave her a rare moment of joy. The corners of her lips curved up. She wanted to tease him, but seeing his tense face, she decided to leave that for later.

Brad broke out of his stupor and said, "I want you to save my Dad."

Olympia looked at Brad and gently nodded. She could never repay the debts of his saviour even with her life, but she would gladly do what he asked. With such thoughts in mind, she decided to follow Brad out. Amelia and the retired general couldn't see her, which was a great relief for her.

They saw Brad opening his eyes and looking at a certain direction. Brad looked up at them and said, "Please lead the way."

As they entered the hospital ward, Brad shooed away Amelia and the retired general.

"Olympia, you may begin." He said.

Olympia nodded at his words, crossed her hands over her chest, and then muttered a series of incantations totally foreign to Brad.

Brad saw her placing her right hand on Stephan's forehead, and muttering incessantly. Soon a ball of white entered the space between Stephan's brows. As she spoke, beams of red, green and blue light emerged from her fingertips and entered Stephan's acupuncture points. Each was full of vitality.

Brad was afraid to break her concentration, lest something goes wrong, so he stood there in the corner, ready to help anytime.

Hence both of them did their own thing at their own pace without disturbing each other. Brad took his mobile and browsed through the news to see what the situation was outside. Whoever did it must have planned really well. But he was astonished to see no news about their house being on fire. It was totally odd. He didn't know what was going on.

Brad searched through almost all the famous news channels, but not a single news agency reported the fire. "How is it even possible?" Brad thought, but didn't know that he spoke his thoughts out loud, until he heard Olympia answer his question. "That is because I know healing. You can learn when you go to the school for magic, but I doubt you would want to go there."

"Oh! But, I didn't mean that. Don't you find it weird that not a single news agency reported the fire?" Brad explained.

"I don't understand, Master."

"Yeah, I forgot that you don't know much about the politics of the world here." Brad sighed in his mind. Then he asked, "Um, how is Dad?"

"He is fine. He should be able to go home today after he regains consciousness."

"Are you telling the truth?"

"Definitely, Master."

"Thanks Olympia." Brad gave her a grateful smile.

After a few hours, when Brad fell almost asleep by Stephan's bedside, he felt his father stir. He opened his sleepy eyes and asked, "Dad, are you awake? How are you feeling? Is there pain? Tell me Dad. Tell me."

"Water…" Stephan croaked.

Brad sprinted towards the other side of the bed to fetch water for Stephan and lifted his head a bit and fed him water.

After noticing his peaceful expression, Brad wanted to question him further, when he saw that Stephan fell asleep again.

He went outside to call the doctors who were in charge of treating Stephan. They came and checked on Stephan. When they saw that his vitalities were completely ok, they decided to release him from the hospital.
