Chapter-3: What is Real? What is not Real?

Damien was comprehending 'Nothingness' at his own pace. As there was no time or space in nothingness. He didn't even know how much time has come. Though it didn't look that it bothered him.

Damien realized that the more he comprehended more his soul got stronger. He was also realized that the nature of his soul was changing. Its nature has started to resemble the nothingness surrounding him.

Realizing that instead of stopping, he started comprehending this mysterious law. This continued for an indefinite amount of time. And finally, he felt that the nature of his soul completely changed.

Suddenly, a huge amount of memories came to his brain. It was extremely painful. This was the first he felt pain since coming to this place. It wouldn't be correct to say that the memories came to him, rather it was fusing with his memories.

'W-What the- Who am I, I am D-Damien Azarael ...No, I am Yun Che....What is going on...Ugh..my head is aching'

[A/N: From now on our main character's name is Damien Azazel, not Damien Azrael.]

After sorting out his memories, Damien was shocked, he didn't know how to react. Cause the memories he got was that of Yun Che, the main character of an ongoing novel series, 'Against the Gods' he used to read. Now he was confused about what was going on now.

He noticed that these were the memories of Yun Che after he was betrayed by the entire god realm and lost his family.

But, these were the memories of real Yun Che. He currently was so confused that he didn't know 'what is real and what is not real '. Then suddenly, a white light bloomed and his vision turned white.

In the barren lower realm planet,

Yun Che was lying on the ground with his eyes closed. The shadowy black dome that has been surrounding him has already disappeared.

He-Ling was beside him checking whether he was alright or not.

Yun Che finally opened his eyes and he started looking around as if he was checking his surroundings. In He-Ling's eyes, Yun Che's was extremely strange. He was not only inspecting his surroundings but also himself.

"-aster, Master, are you alright, You are not listening."

Yun Che breathed out and looked at He-Ling and said " I am fine, He-Ling. You don't have to worry about me. He-Ling can you just check whether there is any living being on this planet."

"Okay Master, if you say so."

After He-Ling left Yun Che started inspecting himself again.

'How the hell I am in Yun Che's body, what the hell is going on over here?'

'I am pretty damn sure that this is not one of those isekai truck-kun services'

Damien sighed and shook his head and thought 'it's no use of thinking how did this happen. It still doesn't change the fact that from today onwards I am Yun Che and since I know what's going to happen now, I will take advantage of all my knowledge".

'Well, I have never liked Yun Che as the main character anyway, and since I am Yun Che it is only natural that I took revenge for what he went through.'

After He-Ling came back, Yun Che told her that she want to take Mu Xuanyin to the Snow Song Realm. He quickly changed his face to that of an ordinary-looking man and changed his profound strength to the beginning stages of the Divine Soul Realm using the Nie-Yuan stone.

Eastern Divine Region, Snow Song Realm.

Heavenly Netherfrost Lake.

The cold vein within the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake still existed but the Ice Phoenix divine being was gone. Even though the entire region was still overflowing with very high-level ice energy, it had lost some of its indescribable divine aura.

It was at this moment that the barrier that had been sealed for a very long time was soundlessly opened and closed.

On the shores of the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake, a man appeared out of thin air. He was dressed all in black and his black hair fell to his waist. For some odd reason, his appearance had caused the air in the entire region around the heavenly lake to become exceptionally heavy and oppressive.

As he arrived in the air above the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake, he silently looked down at the lake water which had remained unfrozen since bygone eras for several breaths… He had a very ordinary face, a face that one might not remember even if one looked at it several more times, and the aura radiating from his body was robust and muddy. His profound strength was approximately in the beginning stages of the Divine Soul Realm and ice energy which was all too common in the Snow Song Realm flowed throughout his body.

No one knew who he was and it was even less likely that anyone would… connect him with Yun Che.

A translucent and flawless crystal coffin that faintly glowed with divine light appeared before him. He lifted the woman slumbering within the coffin out of it, his movements slow and gentle. He expressed no joy or sadness, no rage or grief, and did not allow himself to cling to her. Instead, he slowly lowered his arms before watching her slowly and gently sink into the icy lake below...

As his body blurred, he had already returned to the shores of the heavenly lake. He stretched out an arm and immediately, a distant piece of profound ice was sucked towards him. It tumbled through the air and smashed into the ground.

Since Yun Che's memory fused with Damien, so Damien knows everything about how to control profound energy and how to to use profound arts and Yun Che's powers. However, at the same time, Yun Che's memories and experiences also altered Damien's personality.

A curled-up human was sealed inside that profound ice. The person inside saw an unfamiliar face through the layer of ice that sealed him in. Immediately, hope and pleading appeared in those dim eyes.

If anyone saw this man, it definitely would not occur to them that he used to be one of the Eastern Region's four god emperors, a figure who reigned imperiously over the rest of the God Realm. He was none other than the Star God-Emperor.

Without saying a word to him, without even sparing him a single glance, Yun Che flicked a flinger and an enormous amount of ice energy was released. Xing Juekong, the former Star God Emperor couldn't even resist and he was covered in deep blue ice. Then, he shattered into a cloud of diamond dust.

Not even a single drop of blood fell on the ground.

At this time, a peculiar aura came from outside of the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake. Yun Che's eyes shifted to the side, but he did not leave or conceal himself. He tapped the Nie Yuan Stone with his finger and restored his original aura before he wiped a hand over his face, restoring his true appearance.

Very quickly, the barrier surrounding the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake was opened and closed once more as Mu Bingyun's figure appeared in front of him.

Yun Che and Mu Bingyun's eyes met and even though it had clearly only been a few days, it seemed like it had been a lifetime.

As she looked at Yun Che, the towering bosom beneath her snowy robes violently heaved as emotions that were far too complex shook her icy eyes. "You… still dare to come back!"

"I came to return her here," Yun Che replied. He walked towards Mu Bingyun and looked towards her eyes "Don't worry she will be fine. Before dying, the ice phoenix god gave her the ice phoenix Nirvanic Divine power, she will come back to life in two to three years and she will be stronger than before"

Hearing that Mu Bingyun was shocked. She didn't know how to react to what she said. " A-Are all the things y-you are saying true," She said this with a trembling voice.

"Yes, I have no reason to lie Palace Master Bingyun."

Then, there was a strange and awkward silence between the two. Mu Bingyun came here to ask Yun Che, why he was here? But now she didn't know what to do

Yun Che broke the silence by saying " Palace Master Bingyun, can you please tell her when she wakes up, not to worry about me anymore."

"W-What are you saying"

"I am going for now, but when I return I will plunge the entire God Realm in death, chaos, destruction, and despair. I swear on that" Yun said these in an extremely gloomy and sinister voice. A chill run down Mu Bingyun's spine.

" The Yun Che you all used to know, is already dead. He is not going to come back anymore"

Saying that Yun Che left the Snow Song Realm.

In the distant north, in a world enveloped by black energy.

This was not a world that was suitable for normal beings to live in. Even if a divine profound practitioner came to this place, they would begin feeling extreme oppressiveness and discomfort very soon. They would also start to imperceptibly turn jittery and panicked. Losing control of their emotions was a possibility as well.

Their lifespan would silently leak away as if it was being devoured by something. Even their profound energy would feel like it was being bound up by an invisible ghost since it was a lot more strenuous and difficult to circulate.

The earth here was black and the sky was an oppressive grayish-white color. Even the sparse withered trees and vegetation were a dark gray-black color.

Yun Che was walking in this forest. He started inspecting his surroundings and suddenly uttered " So this is Northern Divine Region, Huh".
